Can't Connect Using Wireless - 6TO4 Adapters Has Yellow Triangle With Exclamation Point
Aug 20, 2012
I can't connect to the internet using our wireless router. The signal is excellent but there's a yellow triangle with an exclamation point. It says that there is limited access. I tried resetting the router, checked all the plugs, restarted my laptop., all to no avail. I tried connecting using my phone, and I can go online so the problem lies with my laptop.
I checked my device manager and under Networks, the 6TO4 adapters has a yellow triangle with exclamation point. With a code 10 error. I tried to run 'check for solutions" but I can't connect to the internet. Using my phone, I saw websites dealing with the same problem. I uninstalled all the 6TO4 adapters along with the isatap adapter because it also has the same problem except that it's reporting error 31. Then I restarted my laptop.I can connect to the internet but only through LAN. I still can't connect through my wifi. I tried to reinstall the 6TO4 and isatap but it still shows the same message.

My laptop, which is a gateway, not sure which type but it's relatively new. just a few years old maybe 5 at the max? idk tbh. Anyways when my mom first gave it to me it had an internet problem. Said limited connectivity and would not connect. Someone told me to restart the computer and the internet magically started working again. It didn't work this time.

Just bought a new Cisco e1200 router last week. When i first hooked it up, it was giving me extremely low (significantly lower than my old router) downloading speeds. After switching the networking mode from "mixed' to "Wireless-G only", the speeds went back to normal. I tried "Wireless-N only", but it didn't work after that. Seemingly, my computer does not work with Wirless-N?
It's been running okay now, but 2 things happen occasionally: When playing a game, I experience lag for a period of 5 minutes, or sometimes 20 minutes. It goes away on its own. Never happened with my old router. When surfing the internet, pages will refuse to load. The connection bars shown at the bottom right hand corner of my computer display a yellow triangle with an exclamation point. This goes away on its own after about 4-5 minutes. These problems come randomly every 3-4 or days, maybe a bit longer.

I've been having a kind of weird situation with a laptop here at the house. Once in awhile it will decide it doesn't want to connect to our router. No matter what I do (system restore, restart the computer, disable/reenable the network adapter, rollback driver, reinstall driver, etc) it won't fix it. What does fix it is connecting to my neighbor's unsecured network, then reconnecting to my router. It's an easy fix but I am puzzled as to why it behaves like this? Another thing that may or may not be related is when I go into Device Manager and Network Adapters, there were two ISATAP adapters with a yellow exclamation point over them. I ran a fix from Microsoft that said it reinstalled the drivers, but when I go into Device Manager the problem ISATAP adapters (two of them) are no longer listed. I'll see if this solves the random connection loss and inability to reconnect issue.

I tried to plug in the internet cable in my laptop i kept getting that yellow triangle with an exclamation mark on it (down in the right). i kept plug in and out the cable until i got connected. i use a cable/dsl router, having 2 computers connected in the same time. only mine gave this error, as the other ran perfectly in the meantime. what seems to be the problem? a virus/trojan?

My internet just keeps dropping every 15 minutes or so. I never really have a problem, but for the past week or so I have been having this issue.I don't think it is just wireless though, because my xbox live connection keeps dropping too and that is wired into my router.
If I right click on my connection and click "Status", this is what I get.
IPv4 Connectivity: Internet
IPv6 Connectivity: No network access
I have unplugged my router and modem at least 10 times. I don't know what else to do.

I updated my graphics card driver and when I rebooted, the wireless wasn't working. I went into device manager, and all the network adapters listed there had a yellow exclamation mark beside them. Attempts to disable/enable and uninstall/reinstall haven't worked. I'm at a total loss. I've tried system restore but it failed, and I've tried reinstalling the graphics card driver update, but that hasn't worked either.

I have the M2N32-SLI Deluxe/Wireless Edition motherboard with onboard wireless. I built this computer myself. I did a fresh install of Windows 7. I installed the wireless drivers from the asus website by putting them onto a flash drive from my laptop and installing them on my desktop. On my wireless signal, I get the yellow triangle with a ! in the middle. Nothing else has been installed. I am at a loss of what to do to get rid of this and just get my wireless to work. We have 3 other laptops and one other desktop that work fine with no issues, but this one desktop seems to have problems.

My Desktop (Win 7) and laptop (Acer Aspire 4830T) were talking both ways (after I fixed a Teredo Tunnel problem!) but have now degraded to the point where I cannot setup a Homegroup. The main issue is that although my wireless internet works when I am home (D-Link DIR-615 router), as soon as I leave, I get the dreaded Yellow exclamation on both Virgin Trains and my client's Unsecured wifi (with password protection). These did use to work in July. Can't detect an event when started to go wrong, though could blame Windows Update! Did try System Restore but these keep failing. Using Kaspersky.

I just recently bought a linksys E900 wireless-N300 Router. I installed the software on the disc and followed the on screen instructions. When I attempt to use an ethernet cable as I did with my last router, it won't work. I get that yellow triangle icon indicating no internet access. I tried using a wireless hub to connect wirelessly...I connect, but no internet access. My PC knows its there, suggests that I reset the modem, doesn't work.

My wireless internet goes off and on. The yellow exclamation comes up. It last for several seconds and then does it again if I try to load several web pages at once. When I run the diagnostics, Windows says it "fixed" that the Default Gateway was not available. Is there something on my laptop that I need to change as far as settings are concerned because it works some of the time but not all of the time. It seems to stop working when I try loading youtube videos.

I think my computer is infected with malware right now. It is heating up quickly and I'm seeing ads in text in websites that don't do that (cbc, reddit, wikipedia).I had this issue a couple of months ago but Spybot seemed to fix the issue.Recently I noticed my computer was heating faster (and hotter) than usual so I ran a search and it said no threats were found. Not too longer after I start noticing the ads again so I know there is a problem. I have ran the search twice since then and still nothing. I was advised to use ccleaner, malwarebytes, and Super Anti-Spyware. It removed one other threat but the problem was still there. I then started using combofix, but I did not like the look of it so I stopped that scan. It seemed a little sketchy.
My old laptop (the one I'm on now) and my girlfriend's laptop work fine. I connected it with the Ethernet cord and that didn't change anything.I have Windows 7. It's on a 2010 Samsung (I'm not very tech savvy so I'm not sure about all the other details). I primarily used Firefox, but I just switched to Googlechrome this week (well after the problems began).

Where internet connection strength is shown in main screen there is a yellow triangle with a black exclamation Mark in it covering the signal strength icon. I have tried contacting my Internet provider who could not fix. They have sent a new modem but still same issue on pc. I have several games consoles and also have an iPad and iPhone and Internet is working on these however my neighbour tried to use her laptop in my house and has the same issue.

I have several E4200 routers deployed in our library district. In one branch, we have been having sporadic problems with computers not being able to maintain a connection. Typically the computer will connect and then the connection will drop and Windows will display the yellow error triangle on the wifi signal strength display.I have swapped the router with another brand new E4200 with the latest firmware but am still having this problem.

I have a exclamation point and no Internet access over my connection. Ever time I move the mouse the swirly thing is moving like something is trying to load. I have reset the windsock. I have restored to an earlier date. I have tried in safe mode with metworking. I have tried with all firewalls off (windows and mcaffe). The router seems fine because all our devices r running off of it. I tried to connect with the computer wirelessly and that doesn't work.

my router is sitecom gigabit 300N. since the past week there is this yellow exclamation mark on the connection in the task bar, near the clock. if I pass the mouse over it, it says no internet connection, eventhough I'm connected to the internet and I'm writing this right now, this is on desktop pc and connected to router by cable. the same thing on my laptop that is connected through WiFi, the signal strenght is normal, but there is the same exclamation mark. I'm pretty sure its the router not the PC because this happens on two different machines with the same router. I tried turning the router off and left it that way for about 7 minutes but that didnt work. is there something in settings I should do? or throw it away and buy Linksys/D-link router?

I can find and connect to the wireless network in our house, but it has the yellow triangle with an exclamation mark. My housemates are on the internet fine on their laptops and my xbox live is working, so it's clearly an issue with my laptop. My laptop's internet evidently works with an ethernet cable too, but I can't just go through an ethernet cable all the time since the router is in a housemate's bedroom.

have had a new HP G62-234DX laptop for about 4 months now and I'm now having problems connecting to the internet via ethernet. The lights do not come up when I plug it into the port and I have already tried to download the Ethernet driver from HP but it didn't seem to install properly, tells me it only works for Windows Vista which isn't true. I checked my device manager also and saw that I only have my wireless network adapter showing which works fine because I've been connecting wireless but I need a wired connection when I do not have wifi at my university. On device manager I chose 'show hidden devices' and I saw an unnecessary amount of "Microsoft 6to4 adapters" come up which does not seem right.

I have an AT&T Gateway Wireless router to connect to Internet with my wired computer. In another room, I have another wired computer I also use to connect to Internet. I never have problems connecting to Internet from computer that is hooked up to the router, but I often have Internet connection issues from the computer in the other room. It can find the access point, but not connect to Internet. I reinstalled the WUSB300N driver again, but I still cannot connect.

I need to control the rate at which my WUSB600N adapter connects to my access point. By default, it rate adapts through negotiation with the access point based on a set of possible rates. Can I restrict the set of rates my adapter can use (without re-writing the driver ). I've looked at netsh which provides stats about the rate my adapter is actually using but doesn't appear to allow me to set the desired rate. I'm using Windows Vista by the way.

I want to know if really the adaptor's problem or the adaptor installation problem.

I have several RV082 routers in production, most of them on IPv4-only access. I want to roll out IPv6 on all these networks and have set up a test environment for this.I did start with a factory-defaulted router with a fixed public IPv4 address. IPv4 network access does work as expected. With the 6to4 option disabled, the RV082's IPv6 routing table contains several entries for local addresses, but not public ones, as expected. When enabling the 6to4 transition function as described in SBKB article #567, three new entries are created: [code]
With the router's diagnostic ping function I can ping the next 6to4 relay on IPv4 (192.88.99.1) and IPv6 (2002:c058:6301::). But I cannot ping that next hop address given as default route (::c058:6301).The RV does advertise routes with the correct 6to4 prefix on the LAN side, and the clients connected to it configure themselves with appropriate addresses. However I was unable to ping any IPv6 both in the 2002::/16 as well as in the 2000::/15 range from any system on the RV's LAN side. When trying to add a static route which routes the 2000:: prefix with prefix length 15 to next hop 2002:c058:6301:: with metric 1, I keep getting the message "Please input IPv6 Address with correct format!"could there something wrong with this default route? How can it be changed? And what is the problem with the route I am trying to add?

I picked up a AE3000 for an older laptop, but it will not connect to any network. It is on an older (01') dell laptop running XP SP3. I have tried using the disk and downloading the latest drivers on-line but no luck. It picks up all the networks around me and mine, but it says trying to connect and just can't. I tried it on another laptop and everything works fine. Is there an issue with this adapter and the original USB ports or XP in general? I have checked and rechecked the passcodes, I have deleted all of the profiles and started from the beginning again. I removed my anti-virus program as well as the last effort. Nothing I do seems to make a difference though. This is just used to access the internet on a laptop that is dedicated to a telescope.

I have tried the setup CD, but get the "The Setup Utility was unable to locate a Wireless G Ethernet bridge..." message.
I have also held the reset button for 30+ seconds and tried to log into the bridge directly using the IP addy (192.168.1.226)

Bought the AE1000. Hooked it up to my desktop computer (Sony VAIO), and it immediately recognized my wireless network in my house. However, when trying to log on, it asks for the network key, which I correctly enter and it attempts to log on, but fails to connect! I have called Linksys, and they claim it is my ISP's fault. I called Comcast (My ISP) and they claim it is a faulty product.
