Ok BEFSR81 (192.168.1.1) is connected to the Modem. I have a cable from one of the BEFSR81's LAN ports going to WRT54G (192.168.2.1) WAN port. My computer is connected to the BEFSR81. I can not access the setup page (http;//192.168.2.1) from my computer, maybe I am not suppossed to be able to do that. The Laptop sees a Linksys wireless connection, but there is a yellow exclamation point over it.
View 7 RepliesI'm having problem with the router WRT54G2, My laptop - winodws 7- connetcs to the wireless.Then it asks me if I wanna configure the router I saw yes, I give a name to the wireless connection and a password, everything works and come to the end, after that I connect to my wireless connection and a little yellow triangle appears -down right on the signal bar. I resetted the router already and update the firmware.Still won't work. I thought maybe I need to put a static IP but I won't find the DSN Code.

When I attempt to use an ethernet cable as I did with my last router, it won't work. I get that yellow triangle icon indicating no internet access. I tried using a wireless hub to connect wirelessly...I connect, but no internet access. My PC knows its there, suggests that I reset the modem, doesn't work.

Typically the computer will connect and then the connection will drop and Windows will display the yellow error triangle on the wifi signal strength display.I have swapped the router with another brand new E4200 with the latest firmware but am still having this problem.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have the M2N32-SLI Deluxe/Wireless Edition motherboard with onboard wireless. I built this computer myself. I did a fresh install of Windows 7. I installed the wireless drivers from the asus website by putting them onto a flash drive from my laptop and installing them on my desktop.On my wireless signal, I get the yellow triangle with a ! in the middle. Nothing else has been installed. I am at a loss of what to do to get rid of this and just get my wireless to work. We have 3 other laptops and one other desktop that work fine with no issues, but this one desktop seems to have problems.

It says that there is limited access. I tried resetting the router, checked all the plugs, restarted my laptop., all to no avail. I tried connecting using my phone, and I can go online so the problem lies with my laptop.
I checked my device manager and under Networks, the 6TO4 adapters has a yellow triangle with exclamation point. With a code 10 error. I tried to run 'check for solutions" but I can't connect to the internet. Using my phone, I saw websites dealing with the same problem. I uninstalled all the 6TO4 adapters along with the isatap adapter because it also has the same problem except that it's reporting error 31. Then I restarted my laptop.I can connect to the internet but only through LAN. I still can't connect through my wifi. I tried to reinstall the 6TO4 and isatap but it still shows the same message.
I am frequently disconnected from the internet, I would say about every 30 minutes.. In the bottom right of my screen where the internet connection thing is it has a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark on it and says "no internet access"

It is heating up quickly and I'm seeing ads in text in websites that don't do that (cbc, reddit, wikipedia).I had this issue a couple of months ago but Spybot seemed to fix the issue.Recently I noticed my computer was heating faster (and hotter) than usual so I ran a search and it said no threats were found. Not too longer after I start noticing the ads again so I know there is a problem. I have ran the search twice since then and still nothing. I was advised to use ccleaner,malwarebytes, and Super Anti-Spyware. It removed one other threat but the problem was still there. I then started using combofix, but I did not like the look of it so I stopped that scan. It seemed a little sketchy.
My old laptop (the one I'm on now) and my girlfriend's laptop work fine. I connected it with the Ethernet cord and that didn't change anything.I have Windows 7. It's on a 2010 Samsung (I'm not very tech savvy so I'm not sure about all the other details). I primarily used Firefox, but I just switched to Googlechrome this week (well after the problems began).
Where internet connection strength is shown in main screen there is a yellow triangle with a black exclamation Mark in it covering the signal strength icon. I have tried contacting my Internet provider who could not fix. They have sent a new modem but still same issue on pc. I have several games consoles and also have an iPad and iPhone and Internet is working on these however my neighbour tried to use her laptop in my house and has the same issue.

View 4 Replies View RelatedJust bought a new Cisco e1200 router last week. When i first hooked it up, it was giving me extremely low (significantly lower than my old router) downloading speeds. After switching the networking mode from "mixed' to "Wireless-G only", the speeds went back to normal. I tried "Wireless-N only", but it didn't work after that. Seemingly, my computer does not work with Wirless-N?
It's been running okay now, but 2 things happen occasionally: When playing a game, I experience lag for a period of 5 minutes, or sometimes 20 minutes. It goes away on its own. Never happened with my old router. When surfing the internet, pages will refuse to load. The connection bars shown at the bottom right hand corner of my computer display a yellow triangle with an exclamation point. This goes away on its own after about 4-5 minutes. These problems come randomly every 3-4 or days, maybe a bit longer.
I can find and connect to the wireless network in our house, but it has the yellow triangle with an exclamation mark. My housemates are on the internet fine on their laptops and my xbox live is working, so it's clearly an issue with my laptop. My laptop's internet evidently works with an ethernet cable too, but I can't just go through an ethernet cable all the time since the router is in a housemate's bedroom.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I have a WRT54G router since a couple of years now. Laptop (Win7 64bit), ipod, ipad, phones can connect to it without a problem, but new computer (Win7 64bit) can't. I can connect the PC via ethernet without a problem though.
I powercycled my devices, I changed broadcasting options off and then back on, changed my security mode, tried the MAC Cloning (after doing the MAC Cloning, I lost internet connectivity even through ethernet), resetted my security settings, changed SSID, I'm broadcasting through channel 11 2.462. I also tried deleting the HomeGroup
Important fact: the network is in the list of available wireless network, but Signal Strength is No Signal and I can't connect to it. My network adapter is ASUS 802.11n Wireless LAN Card, drivers are up to date. I've upgraded to the latest router firmware.

My E4200 is rebooting every time it sees traffic on any port, including the internet port. It does not reboot itself if there is nothing plugged in.
Already tried: soft reset (power off for 30 seconds), soft reboot via back panel button, hard reset (press reset for 30, unplug and hold reset for 30, plug in while holding reset for 30).
I had an Iomega 1TB External Hard Drive connected to my E4200 router. I had shares confgured and they were properly running on the network.
As of yesterday, this all stopped working. The router does not see the drive; it is as though it is not plugged in.
I rebooted the router and it still does not work. I've connected the hard drive directly to my PC to verify that it works there, and it does. The router is running Ver.1.0.03 (Build 14) of firmware (the latest).
My EA4500 is not working. The power indicator light is on but the green and yellow lights on the Internet port are not flashing and the modem the EA4500 is connected to show no activity on that port. Also, the EA4500 is not broadcasting so I can't even connect to it to use Cisco Connect to troubleshoot. I tried resetting it but it did nothing. This has happened before but is usally fixed with a reset.

I've installed it, run the wizard etc but it doesn't work...not even wired. I've tried various cable configurations and I get nothing. Both cables are good and work just fine connected to the modem. I've reset it a few times, upgraded the firmware and still nothing...I'd think I'd at least get it to work hard wired. My laptop can see the network I set up even...but no data transmission. the Solutions I Tried to fix that up :-
1) Hard reset the 30/30/15 reset
2) Firmware re-flashing
3) Trying an old firmware 1.0.0.12 instead of 1.0.0.16
but nothing of those worked the Only thing that worked for like 20 min the firmware upgrade but after that the problem came up again the problem happens to all Computers on the network wired or on wireless happens on all kind of operations systems win7, xp, vista, (Android for mobiles).
My LAN has 2 Vista, the new 764 and an XP machines. Last night, I created IRPStackSize and set it to 16 and it fixed the access problems all the other machines had w XP. This AM, teh 764 does not see the XP again, but teh 2 Vistas can still read & write to XP. Increased IRPStackSize to 32, but that has no effect.
The 764 "sees" V2 [one of the Vista machines, the newer, 2nd one] but cannot access any of the shared folders on it. It gets Error 0x80070035: network path not found. This AM, I disabled several AV & spyware programs on V2 and ran uSoft's FIXIT pgm and something "fixed" it. Rebooted V2 and the problem/failure is back. V2 can still read/write 764.
On all machines, C: is shared w all permissions to 'everyone'.
Looks like 2 problems to me. They seem like 764 problems since other computers on teh network do not have these problems and both things the 764 can't see or access have no problem accessing 764 files.
I have a bt home hub. When I look at wifi networks I only see the hub. I want to take my laptop out so how an I check it will see other networks when away?

We have an 871 vpn router conntected back to our main facility ASA5500. The VPN tunnel seems to come and go for no reason we can find.
The weird thing of all this is that we can only ping some subnets and not everything even though we alow all networks to be routed.
This is one of those things we keep looking at but for some reason just can't find the problem. Hoping another set of eyes spots something obvious.....

My Desktop (Win 7) and laptop (Acer Aspire 4830T) were talking both ways (after I fixed a Teredo Tunnel problem!) but have now degraded to the point where I cannot setup a Homegroup.The main issue is that although my wireless internet works when I am home (D-Link DIR-615 router), as soon as I leave, I get the dreaded Yellow exclamation on both Virgin Trains and my client's Unsecured wifi (with password protection). These did use to work in July. Can't detect an event when started to go wrong, though could blame Windows Update! Did try System Restore but these keep failing. Using Kaspersky.
