View 1 Replies just got a Vizio E3D320VX TV and it will connect to my E4200V2 2.4Ghz N-band, but not the 5Ghz N-band. Both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz are configured virtually identical: 1) both are Wireless-N Only, 2) both auto channel width, 3) both WPA2 Personal security, 4) both SSID broadcast disable.
The only differences are: 1) obviously the SSIDs and 2) I manually set the 2.4Ghz channel to the least used in my area. I kept the 5Ghz channel auto.To connect to 2.4Ghz, in the Vizio TV network settings, I left their settings to Auto (DHCP), and put in the SSID name. The TV searches for it, sees that it's WPA2PSK and asks for the password. Put it in and boom it works. When I try on 5Ghz (again on "Auto"/DHCP for the TV), I put in the SSID, and the TV "thinks" about it for awhile, then says something like "Cannot connect, please try another Wireless Access Point". It never gets to the point where it asks for the WPA2 password.
The TV is downstairs and the E4200V2 is upstairs, but I used my iPad2 in the same room and it connects to the 5Ghz with no problem. But just in case the TV has a 5Ghz reception problem, I set the channel width to wide/40Mhz and bumped tried a couple of the higher channels (149 and 161), and it still won't connect.I also went into Administration and turned on logging to try to see what is happening when the TV tries to connect, but for some reason nothing is logging, not even my other devices' traffic -- very strange (yes I hit Save Settings after enabling logging).
I have WRT54G router. The VIZIO VBR231 unit finds the network OK and indicates it is connected, but nothing will stream, and when I run a Network Test it gives me this 3 line error:
Connection to 0.0.0.0... successfully established
Resolving... could not be established
Please check your connection and try again.
The VIZIO support folks were not beneficial at all, and said something about Port 80 or Port 43 not being open or available. When I talked to linksys support, they said I needed to add the VIZIO player's IP (which appears to be 0.0.0.0 in the system settings). I poked around a bit, including the Port Forwarding tab on the router setup, but could not see a way to assign 0.0.0.0 to one of these ports, and I am hesitant to experiment.
I'll probably just return the unit to Costco, but I'm trying this forum as a last ditch effort. BTW I have a VIZIO internet TV that I love, and that had absolutely no problem at all connecting to the wireless.
EA4500 Linksys router stopped allowing vizio Internet apps to connect from two different TV's. Problem, Just got brand new EA4500 router and Motorola SURFboard DOCSIS 3.0 High-Speed Cable Modem Model: 575319-019. I have 2 new vizio big screen tv's with internet apps. All was working fine and had no problems but occasional drops or limited access.
One day BOTH TV's could no longer connect. However, The tv's will connect to another access point. therefore the problem does not exist in the TV/s and has to be a problem in my access point (I.E. Router allowing access). Additionally, all other devices connect and work fine. I have already unplugged everything for an extended period of time. Checked for updates on firmware and verified no software needed to be updated. Rebooted router... Am using wpa-psk and feel i shouldn't have to go weep as it was working fine...
I'm desperately trying to set up my old D-Link DI-524 on my parent's Toshiba laptop...I'm visiting and going thru withdrawals! I've installed it, run the wizard etc but it doesn't work...not even wired. I've tried various cable configurations and I get nothing. Both cables are good and work just fine connected to the modem. I've reset it a few times, upgraded the firmware and still nothing...I'd think I'd at least get it to work hard wired. My laptop can see the network I set up even...but no data transmission. I'm not a wireless expert, but I need to become one fast!
View 3 Replies View RelatedSo I have a WRT54G router since a couple of years now. Laptop (Win7 64bit), ipod, ipad, phones can connect to it without a problem, but new computer (Win7 64bit) can't. I can connect the PC via ethernet without a problem though.
I powercycled my devices, I changed broadcasting options off and then back on, changed my security mode, tried the MAC Cloning (after doing the MAC Cloning, I lost internet connectivity even through ethernet), resetted my security settings, changed SSID, I'm broadcasting through channel 11 2.462. I also tried deleting the HomeGroup
Important fact: the network is in the list of available wireless network, but Signal Strength is No Signal and I can't connect to it. My network adapter is ASUS 802.11n Wireless LAN Card, drivers are up to date. I've upgraded to the latest router firmware.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a WRT110 and a Vizio smart TV - just changed internet providers to NuLink to get a Mbps line - previously had AT&T DSL 1.5 - when tech power cycled router every laptop and smartphone in the house connected with no issue - TV did not connect (it was on during time tech was doing install) - attempted to connect with password, failed to connect multiple times - sometimes message 'DCHP connection not available' message was displayed - called Vizio, 1 hour and 9 minutes of troubleshooting with no success, according to Vizio tech all settings on TV good recommended I contact Lynksys and ask them to ' check 2 ports - port 80 and port 446' - also advise 'connection is autopopulating to 101' - I believe he was referring to the IP address request - router set to WPA2 personal - note that when I first got TV 3 months ago I was able to connect to router no problem, but I do not know if TV had connection the day we switched internet providers. I do have 2 fixed IP addresses entered an one of them ends in '101' - I do not know if that is significant or not. The main reason for the internet switch was to get the TV online, disappointed that I could not get it done.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy E4200 is rebooting every time it sees traffic on any port, including the internet port. It does not reboot itself if there is nothing plugged in.
Already tried: soft reset (power off for 30 seconds), soft reboot via back panel button, hard reset (press reset for 30, unplug and hold reset for 30, plug in while holding reset for 30).
I had an Iomega 1TB External Hard Drive connected to my E4200 router. I had shares confgured and they were properly running on the network.
As of yesterday, this all stopped working. The router does not see the drive; it is as though it is not plugged in.
I rebooted the router and it still does not work. I've connected the hard drive directly to my PC to verify that it works there, and it does. The router is running Ver.1.0.03 (Build 14) of firmware (the latest).

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy LAN has 2 Vista, the new 764 and an XP machines. Last night, I created IRPStackSize and set it to 16 and it fixed the access problems all the other machines had w XP. This AM, teh 764 does not see the XP again, but teh 2 Vistas can still read & write to XP. Increased IRPStackSize to 32, but that has no effect.
The 764 "sees" V2 [one of the Vista machines, the newer, 2nd one] but cannot access any of the shared folders on it. It gets Error 0x80070035: network path not found. This AM, I disabled several AV & spyware programs on V2 and ran uSoft's FIXIT pgm and something "fixed" it. Rebooted V2 and the problem/failure is back. V2 can still read/write 764.
On all machines, C: is shared w all permissions to 'everyone'.
Looks like 2 problems to me. They seem like 764 problems since other computers on teh network do not have these problems and both things the 764 can't see or access have no problem accessing 764 files.
I have a bt home hub. When I look at wifi networks I only see the hub. I want to take my laptop out so how an I check it will see other networks when away?

Have Win 7 on a desktop and laptop. Tried several ways through network wizard(novice on PCs) to setup network and no internet connection with either unit. The router sees the internet and the laptop picksup the network I setup but can not connect on either PC. I know I don't have a setting write and I do not know where to start again or what specifically to look for. We just want Internet on both PCs.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a wireless network in my home. I reliably get solid connections on our various devices such as the Wii (netflix streaming), a net book, a laptop and Wi-Fi connections on android phones. When I first set up the 930L I thought it was defective because I couldn't get a connection. Until I did it in the same room as the router okay, that worked. But I move 2 rooms over and I no longer connect.
Seriously, I can go a few rooms away and easily stream an HD movie via netflix to my net book. But if I set up the 930L at the exact same location it will not connect. If I move the camera within about 20 feet of the router with only maybe 1 wall between them, it will connect.
At this level of wireless power it is nearly worthless for me. Is my camera defective or are all of them this lower powered?I am running a dlink router, 300N, WPA security. Like I said, I can connect if I'm literally 10 feet away. But any significant distance or anything more than a single wall in between and the router no longer sees the camera. And all other wireless devices have strong, reliable connections all through my house.
I've been running WHSV1 for at least 3 years now without any problems. Upgraded my client to Windows 7 and stream movies etc.. no issues at all. I gave "guest" account enabled with full access on the WHS server machine and just mapped theshares on my laptop..Anyway, I did some updates on my windows7 laptop and now the computer can no longer see the "server" machine."Server" appears in "other devices" in windows explorer but I can't do anything with it. Just takes me to a page server.com by godaddy. Also, I can no longer use RDP from within my own network! Says the SERVER machine does not exist.I can log in to the server just fine using logmein.
Also, made sure the windows machine has the network that it joined set to "home." I've had a similar problem years ago when I used to use zone alarm but I don't know how to fix it now. It's as if a firewall is blocking it or something.
Does X3000 sees both disk in an external usb enclosure with JBOD disks?

I've tried changing the Ethernet cables
I just bought the e1000 router today and I'm already having trouble. I got it setup the first time and all my computers set up with it and it works fine for internet. Everything is snappy and responsive and I don't have any of the problems I did with my old belkin. However, I am unable to connect to the router using cisco connect or the web interface. I need to forward ports, configure wireless security, etc etc. All I did was disable the guest account through cisco connect, and then when the software just sat there doing nothing with the spinning circle in the middle, I opened task manager and killed the process to get it to go away. Now I can't connect using either cisco connect or the web interface.
