Way To Find The IP With A Wireless Access Point
Aug 16, 2012I have a wireless access point I cannot determine the ip for, every thing I try to find it just gives me the ip of my router. I need to change the channel of the wireless access point itself, the router doesn't allow me to do that.

Nov 13, 2012I am trying to set up the wireless feature in my DSI XL. When I use Connection 1 it easily find my wireless network but says it is "unable to connect to this access point using current settings" and refers me to Advanced Setup.When I use Advanced Setup to search to Access Point it says the access point is secure: WPA2-PSK(AES). I correctly enter my wifi password which totals 8 charcters and OK the screen then shows 5 stars for the password and says it is uabe to connect to verify security key. I thought the security key and password were the same but maybe not??? The error code is 051110-1.

First problem, I cant find my wireless network from my desktop, but it shows up on my laptop but it wont let me access it from there. The power, wlan, port 1, and internet led lights are all on and green. How can I get my wireless network to show up on my desktop and how can I access it from my laptop? If I unplug my router for 30 seconds and plug it.

Dec 17, 2011I am connecting to the internet in two desktops using the WAG120N modem+router.I have no problems with the internet. But when I try to use the wireless access point in my mobile phone / laptop,the device is not able to find the WiFi access point. I need to swith off the modem and start it again, then the devices are finding the access point. I guess this has to do with some amount of inactivity and the modem switces off the wireless access point. I there anyway by which I can turn off that setting ? I have tried the setting page but was not able to find anything.

Aug 29, 2009I just bought an LG Bluray DVD player (BD390) which is unable to find the access point in my home network.My router is a WRT54G, ver. 2.2, running firmware: Ver.4.21.1. My home network uses high speed cable with two computers on the wireless network, all working with no problems.The router is on the second floor but the two computers and the new BD390 are on the first floor - about 35 feet away. I have the wirelss security set to none and use only the specific computer MAC addresses to allow connection to this network.
I found directions in the forum for a setup using the LG BD390 but with a different Linksys router. I changed the security to WPA (AES); the Beacon interval from 100 to 75; the Fragmentation Threshold from 2346 to 2304; and the RTS Threshold from 2347 to 2307. The DVD wireless connection still failed to find my network. There is a "Push button" connection feature on the BD390 setup which I tried, but the only "button" on the router I could find was in the basic wireless setting, a green icon for the wireless SSID setup. No connection was made there either.
The recommendation connection from the LG manual is for a network cable, but that would be over 50 feet and a real pain to connect, so I would prefer WiFi.

Apr 13, 2012I cannot remember what I set-up as the static IP for a netgear access point so that I can access it to change a password. Is there a way to figure that out without resetting the access point or typing in every possibility in the browser?It is acting only as an access point and therefore IPCONFIG shows the main router handing out DHCP.

Jul 15, 2012I recently cleaned my hard drive, but forgot to save my drivers.
Now after installing Windows XP, I can't access the internet and I can't save anything because I keep getting insufficient memory errors (but my drive is almost empty), but I have been able to update drivers.
I have managed to recover some of the drivers but I can't figure out what I have to do to get my desktop to access the web. I have tried directly connecting to my router and using my wireless USB adapter (whose driver I can't install because of an insufficient error message).
My computer is a HP Pavilion Media Center TV m7640n Desktop that I bought several years ago:

In device manager, i only have 3 question marks left under Other Devices: Audio Device on High Definition Audio Bus, Compact Wireless-G USB Adapter, and Multimedia Video Controller.

Jul 12, 2013this might sound straight forward, but every other pc or console can find and connect to my router.This issue seems to happen about once every few months, sometimes it comes back by itself and reconnects completely fine.
There isn't a "user limit" on our router.Wireless adapter is dell wireless 1505 draft 802.11n wlan mini-card.
Have restarted PC and uninstalled and reinstalled the card.I tried to set the i.p address to static but it says "adapter disconnected" so won't allow me to edit any settings, despite it being able to find neighbour's wireless very easily.
