View 9 Repliesthis might sound straight forward, but every other pc or console can find and connect to my router. This issue seems to happen about once every few months, sometimes it comes back by itself and reconnects completely fine.
There isn't a "user limit" on our router.Wireless adapter is dell wireless 1505 draft 802.11n wlan mini-card.
Have restarted PC and uninstalled and reinstalled the card.I tried to set the i.p address to static but it says "adapter disconnected" so won't allow me to edit any settings, despite it being able to find neighbour's wireless very easily.
Find a wireless network and hit enter and a screen came up and asked for my network key.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a router from Motorola that is not a wireless router. Wired to it is a DIR 300 box (adapter?) and this transmits the Wilan. My PC is connected via cable and my laptop via Wilan . I have looked in the Motorola router ( using my PC) for the security key and cannot find one . I have also looked in the DIR300 and the security key is a row of dots, ie not showing.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Dell Inspiron 1720 (running Vista Home Premium) that connects to my Linksys E2000 and to a wireless printer, the Canon MX870. It's been working for months without problems.
I just got a Toshiba Satellite P770-BT4G22 Laptop (running Window 7 Professional 64 bit) and installed the Cisco Connect software following the instructions where you have already set up the router and just need to install the software to do things like add a device. I can connect to the router fine using a web browser or the Cisco Connect Software and my Toshiba connects to the Internet through the router without problems.
The problem is Cisco Connect says it can't find a wireless printer when I run it on my new Toshiba. I've put the printer within 3 feet of the router with my Toshiba in between but still it can't find it. My Dell in another room connects to the printer no problem. And I can print to the Canon if I select the Shared Canon Printer ( on the Dell) using the Toshiba's Control Panel Add Printer function. But obviously that means the Dell has to be on so that's not good for much more than troubleshooting. I've also wired a connection from the printer to the Toshiba and downloaded the latest driver, printed that way so I know that's not the problem. The problem is that Cisco Connect can't find the printer. It says there are 6 devices attached to my router so it's seeing something, but I guess not the printer. I've turned any firewalls off for this testing too.
I'm stumped as to why it can't find the printer when the Dell did and they are all on the same network. Unless it's not compatible with 64 bit Windows.
In the run box I enter cmd and hit enter. It got me to the command promt and I typed in ipconfig/all and hit enter. It displayed Windows IP Configuation but nothing else except another C prompt. Windows XP version 5.1.2600 What next?

View 8 Replies View RelatedSuddenly, for some reason, my two Lenovo laptops last week (one is Windows XP and one is Windows 7) couldn't find any wireless networks. When I click on "View Wireless Networks" all that comes up is the Iban computer to computer network.I know the wireless network router is working as I can connect to it with my non 3G iPad. I also took both computers to work and couldn't connect to an open wireless router there.

last night I had reset my router, I may have factory reset it, but ever since then, nothing can connect, nor even find the wireless connection, other than the home computer that is directly wired to it. My laptop, my tablet, amd my xbox cannot connect. On my laptop, it cannot even find a connection available, even when I'm in the same room as the router. All it has are the no signal bars and the little "x". Everything was working fine before I reset the router. Now nothing can even find a connection! How can I get my connection back? my laptop is windows 7.
View 15 Replies View RelatedSo recently I moved my modem (DLS Gateway) from one room to another. In doing this I unplugged the Ethernet from one computer and plug it into a new one. There isn't a problem with the new computer being wired, but the one that used to be wired won't find my wireless at all. It won't even find other networks it just keeps saying that it's not plugged in to the Ethernet. My question is how do I get the computer so that it can find wireless networks.
