Jul 11, 2012i can't find my wireless network in the list. It shows me networks from my are but not my one. I know my one works and has no problem as my sister can use her laptop wirelessly

Apr 19, 2011i had the dir-655 with desktops and laptops running with xp and win 7, also some other devices such as ipod, iphone, ps3, xbox, problem occura with conflict of network ip address, i think xp and win 7 both login with the same network ip address. So I start to disconnect every device and try to connect each desktop and laptops, one by one, enabled the DHCP and reserve the network ip to avoid conflict. But here's the problem, when I connect the first computer with wired to the dir-655, can't find the computer in the DHCP list so I cannot do the reserve, I'm able to surf internet even I can see info with ipconfig. So I connected 1 wired and 2 wifi to the network, only 1 wifi network ip showing on the list, so I reserve that one, but after I refresh, the DHCP list is empty.

Jan 17, 2011I recently added several devices to my wireless-g network: Xbox 360, an HTC Smart phone, and an old laptop my buddy gave me (in addition to the 2 desktops that were already on the network). Since doing this, I've had occasional buffering problems when streaming music or video, even when I'm only using 1 of the devices. I suspect that the Xbox (or maybe phone) is downloading updates in the background, even when it's turned off, and that is consuming bandwidth. Is there any way I can see a list of devices that are connected to the network and maybe even the amount of data being transmitted to/from each so I can find the culprit. when I play online, it says that my NAT settings are not open and that this makes it take longer to connect to other players. What are the risks involved in loosening the NAT restrictions?

Dec 13, 2011I have new DIR-615 D-link router. Since we installed it the network has disappeared randomly off the available networks list, and when I try and open Google Chrome it says there's DNS error. Troubleshooting through windows networks doesn't work because it can't find any problems since my network doesn't even show up on the list. We've even done a factory reset and the problem persists, and it does this about once a day. Resetting the router temporarily fixes the problem. This problem is happening on all 3 laptops in our home, two of which run windows 7 and one which runs XP.

Linksys Wireless Router :: Couldn't Connect To EA4500 - Network Disappear From List?
Jun 24, 2012I've recently purchased a Linksys EA4500 router. I've got home, I've used the installation guide CD thingy, connected 3 of my laptops wirelessly, no issue there.However when I tried to connect my 4th laptop problems came along. The problem I was dealing with was that I couldn't connect to the router. I mean I could see the network name appearing in the list, but when I tried to connect the network would just dissapear from the list, not connect, and wouldn't back on the list unless I've reset the laptop. Anyhow I've ignored that computer because I thought it was two years old and it might have had a wireless network adaptor issue, although it was conneting with no problem to my former router D-Link DIR 365.Anyway, just yesterday I've purchesed a brand new netbook (Evolio U9) and it doesn't see my router, although it sees all the other connection availables (my neighbors' wirless networks), I even connected to one of them just to test if anything was wrong with the netbook.
I also have problems when trying to connect with an Iphone 4. Well, it does connect, but the connection to the iphone just goes on and off making it impossible to use. It's really strange that all the 3 Iphones in my home have no issue connecting, not even my Glaxy S3, nor any of the Smart Tvs, nor the printer.Does the router have any number of limited connections available? The router configuration is the ones done from the CD. I've only assign a SSID and a WPA password.Please note that all the computers above are GENIUNE Windows

Dec 8, 2012I just acquired a used E2100 from an auction, when I plug it in I see an "Unnamed Network" with full bars in wireless, but can't connect since I don't know the ssid/password.When connecting with cable, with ipconfig I get a 10.10.10.108 ip, the gateway is at 10.10.10.99. Yet I also cannot access it.I have tried the reset button at the bottom, holding it for over a minute, pressing it quickly, holding it for 30 seconds, holding it and unplugging + replugging the router, but nothing is working.I have also tried the CD that comes with it with cable and with wifi only, but it does not find the router. I have deleted my default wireless network settings, had my wifi on, was not connected to any networks, yet the CD could not find the router.When router is on, the WIFI led blinks around once a second, while the LAN led blinks randomly like it should.

Mar 1, 2012I recently change routers to a Linksys E3000 wireless router from a Uverese 2wire residential gateway and all worked well for a short time nothing changed however when I go to view network devices from Win7,Vista or XP computers the network devices are no longer there. when I shut down and reboot the router and switches I still cannot see these devices, however when I hook up my old 2wire router I see my devices again. Even when I reconnect to the E3000 all the devices can be viewed for a few hours. Changing routers resets something but maybe overloads the linksys E3000 after a few hours? maybe this E3000 is just defective?
When I view a network map in Network & Internet all the devices appear in the map The configuration is Linksys E3000 router with two (2) 8 port Trendnet gigabyte switches and One (1) 8 port Trendnet Poe 10/100 switch. They are chained router to 8 port gig to 8 port gig to 8 port Poe 10/100. Prior to this I had the router to each switch separately - - this does not seem to matter works the same either way

Oct 20, 2012last night I had reset my router, I may have factory reset it, but ever since then, nothing can connect, nor even find the wireless connection, other than the home computer that is directly wired to it. Jul 25, 2012my computer has been playing up the last couple of weeks not finding my network, even though ive had it about a year now without any trouble before. my laptop and iphone still pick up the wifi with no problems.i decided to format the computer as i wanted to do a clean install anyway, which has not made any difference. i have even tried bringing the desktop downstairs now and placed it directly next the the router to see if it would pick it up then, which it hasnt.
i have used an edimax wireless usb receiver ever since the computer was new which worked fine up until now, i also purchased a wireless pci card to see if that worked (wasnt sure if my my edimax usb had broken), which still doesnt work. the drivers for both the pci card and the usb receiver are up to date.i have tried logging into the routers firmware and changed the channel from 'auto' to channels 1-12. with no luck. i have now had to plug my computer into the router via the ethernet port to get the internet working.
i also run ubuntu on a dual boot, which for some reason also doesn't pick up the wireless network. (however my laptop runs ubuntu and does pick up the wifi)

2. On the same page, in the DHCP Server Settings portion, if Enable DHCP Server : is deselected, does this mean that only the hosts specified in the DHCP Reservations List can access the network? In other words, is access now restricted to these entries?
3. If the DIR-615 is powered OFF, will the above settings, etc. be lost (similar to a reset)?
