I have an auditor wanting a screenshot of all users that have acces to configure our firewall, I am unfamiliar with 5.1. Is there a way of running such a report on a paticular device?

I am configuring rsa as “rsa secureID token servers”.But how should I configure the users on acs to authenticate the password with rsa?
Previously on acs 4, on the user page, in password field, I select authenticate with external DB, Also, any guide for the config on rsa 6.1 side (with acs 5)
i want to control manageent access to symbol Wireless Switch WS6000 with my ACS. the issue is that i can't find the Vendor Specific Attributes forSymbol devices. i wonder if theres a way to control it with IETF or Other Radius Attributes.
View 3 Replies View RelatedDeployed two Cisco ISE 1.1.3. ISE will be used to authenticate wireless users, admin access to WLC and switches. Backend database is Microsoft AD running on Windows Server 2012. Existing Cisco ACS 4.2 still running and authenticating users. There are two Cisco WLCs version 7.2.111.3.Wireless users authenticates to AD through ACS 4.2 works. Admin access to WLC and switches to AD through ISE works. Wireless authentication using PEAP-MSCHAPv2 and admin access wtih PAP/ASCII.
Wireless users cannot authenticate to AD through ISE. The below is the error message "11051 RADIUS packet contains invalid state attribute" & "24444 Active Directory operation has failed because of an unspecified error in the ISE".Conducted a detailed test of AD from ISE. The test was successful and the output seems all right except for the below: [code]
Update:
1) Built another Cisco ISE 1.1.3 sever in another datacentre that uses the same domain but different domain controller. Thais domain controller is running Windows Server 2008. This works and authentication successful.
2) My colleague tested out in a lab environment of Cisco ISE 1.1.2 with Windows Server 2012. He got the same problem as described.
I currently have a Cisco ACS 3415 appliance with 5.4. Coming from the ACS 4.2 world, I'm have a bit of a struggle creating the following and I was hoping if I could be shown clear steps I can duplicate the rest.
I want to creat a group ie: AIRTEMP with access time from 7:00am to 5:00pm and add 2 users to the group.
Users access our site using a vpn client connecting to a ASA5550. The ASA and the ACS already communicate with each other.
The ACS 5.4 user guide has me bouncing all over different page.
How does one configure the router so that Internet users can access internal company websites? The only thing that appears is the Cisco router login. Also I need to configure Terminal Services and its not on the list under Service.

I have a normal setup of ASA5505 (without security license) connected behind an internet router. From the ASA5505 console I can ping the Internet. However, users behind the Firewall on the internal LAN, cannot ping the Internet even though NATing is configured. The users can ping the Inside interface of the Firewall so there is no internal reachability problem. In addition, I noticed that the NAT inside access list is not having any hit counts at all when users are trying to reach the internet.
When i replace the ASA5505 with a router with NAT overload configuration on it, the setup works normally and users are able to browse the internet.
The ASA5505 configuration is shown below.

I just configure an ASA 5520, here is the config (the ip address of outside network if going to change from private direccion by reason security).
The problem that I have is the users can access to the web site through the public´s ip address but they do not can access through by name. We review all the config on the server DNS and with the command NSLOOKUP we can see that work fine. The client think that the asa is blocked the connnection.

I have installed ACS 5.4 and we are looking to authenticate our Anyconnect users with ACS via Active Directory. I think I have the correct commands in our ASA ( we had ACS 4 and authenticated our anyconnect users ).
I also have configured ACS to use Active Directory and installed the server side cert in ACS. I'm just uncertain how to program ACS to use the security group that I have setup in Active Directory.
I had insatalled the ACS 5.2 on Vmware . As per my requirement i need to configure a user to restricted privilege so that he should be able to execute only the below commands on the switch .
-Show ver
-Show interfaces
-Show ip Interface Brief
-Configure terminal
-Interface <interface name >
-Shutdown
-No shutdown
The users should not be authorized to execute any other commands than above listed one .After the configuration i was not able to restrict the config mode commands . Once the user is authoized for Configure terminal access he will have full access on the device. How to configure the command set only to allow interface access and he should be able to apply Shutdown and No shutdown command .
I am new to ACS 5.1.I need to configure the ACS to act as the 802.1x authentication Server, as well as, act as the Radius Server for the authentication and authorization process when I access the switch.
I had created Two rules (under the Access policy) to cater for the two scenario, it will always "stuck" at the 1st rule. For e.g. Rule-1 is meant for the 802.1x, Rule 2 is meant for the AAA process. When I tested with 802.1x, it worked perfectly. But when I tested to login to the switch, it always failed. Based on the log, Rule1 is not able to fulfill my requirement (of course it can't). I thought the rules check process will proceed with Rule-2, but apparently it did not.

I'm trying to configure ACS 5.4 as radius server for network access (PPP connections).In monitoring and reports the users have green color , but the clients cannot send data. Auth method is CHAP/MD5.
Allowed protocols are set to CHAP and PAP only.
Pix 515e 6.3.4..A web server on our DMZ is exposed for external access.There is an "A" record (webserver.yyy) on a public DNS for this public IP.This works fine for external users. url..Now I have been asked to allowed our LAN user to access the same link and I CANNOT CREATE AN INTERNAL DNS RECORD TO TAKE CARE OF THIS, which means when our internal users access that link, the request goes out of OUTSIDE interface with a NAT overloaded address(111.111.111.2) that is in the same subnet as the URL is trying to resolve. Once it knows the IP address thru DNS resolution tries to comes back in thru the same Interface(OUTSIDE) to hit the web server in the DMZ and is not able to.
1- Where does the request from an internal user to hit url is dropped?
2- what can be done to allow this type of connectivity in the PIX 515e device?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a issue that i am at a loss as how to solve it. I have an ASA 5505 as my firewall. I have users from other companies who visit from time to time and are unable to use their outlook email to send messages. They can however receive messages without a problem. I also have a situation where users who use windows live to access gmail are unable to send messages.
I have narrowed it down to the fact that these uses are using ssl/tls to send the mails. I did some research and found out about the inspect esmtp setting in the ASA. I have disabled it and i still have to problem. I have also removed all outbound deny statements and still no luck.
Of note is that i can send emails without attachments. They take a long time to go out ( from minutes to hours) but eventually they do. Emails with attachments of even 10k do not go at all.
I was running image 8.2.3 and i downgraded to 8.0.5...still did not work...i upgraded to 8.4.3...still did not work. I am now back at 8.2.3.
My Firewall config is attached. I am at my wits end as to what else to try. The company has not renewed support for the device so i am on my own here!

and I am missing a few thing's since installing the windows 7 ultimate, the main thing is that the drivers for my Ethernet connection (wired) are now missing! I have searched online and with Acer and have downloaded a zip file FULL of different scary looking programs that don't make sense to me and none are simple enough to say "Ethernet driver for windows 7" .I can't access the interwebs in my OPS room without it being through an Ethernet cable.Here is a screen shot of the Ethernet controller window.

ASA5510-1 currently has a live site to site to ASA5510-2.
ASA 5510-1 - 10.192.0.253
ASA 5510-2 - 172.16.102.1
DC - 172.16.102.10
ASA5510-01 can ping the DC and vica versa but is unable to authticate when i perform a test. ASA5510-01 can authenticate to a DC on it;s own LAN but not on the remote LAN that DC sits on.
I have double checked the 'Server Secret Key' and ports as well as various users which all work locallly. ASA5510-02 authenticates to DC with no problems.
How to configure SSH access on my PIX 506e. I would like to use local authentication with no AAA server. Also I would like to have telnet disabled completely.

I was in SHOCK!!! 20 frigging items that are setup to connect to the router.Items are: Wireless Printer, 3 Phones, 5 Laptops, 3 Ipod Touches, 2 Ipads, Nook, Kindle, Roku video streamer, Wii, Xbox 360 and one LAN wired desktop.I keep having issues with these in no particular order getting network error message and not working. I am rebooting the cable modem twice a day at times. Is this normal? Is there anything out thereconfigure my router for optimal performance and security. I would like to have the roku and xbox360 (espn live video) to have the most bandwidth so there is limited to no buffering for watching the video streaming

My firewall is running the software version 8.2(5).
I have a closed network that is not connnected to the internet, just other sites that we want to communicate with. We have a cisco router connected to the outside interface on an ASA5505 and a cisco router connected to the inside interface on the same ASA5505. I have an inside interface that connects our management LAN, five separate DMZ interfaces with a separate LAN (VLAN) on each DMZ interface and the outside interface that connects to the other sites. Data is not allowed to mingle between the five DMZ's.
Alll connections to the other separate nodes are handled with the router on the external interface. IPSEC GRE tunnels have been established between all sites and BGP routing has been verified. Pings are good between inside, dmz and external interfaces and between the DMZ's and the other sites, to include hosts on our local networks and hosts at the remote sites. Inter and intra traffic is enabled.
When a remote site attempts an https connection, the initial ACK handshake makes it through the ASA5505, but the return SYN/ACK is being knocked down and I don't understand why (it is not because of ACL's, they are any any at this point).
Why the return SYN/ACK to the remote site isn't getting through the ASA5505 outbound. Will probably have the same issue with FTP, but right now, just trying to solve one problem at a time.
ASA5505 is in routed mode, not looking to NAT since the IP addresses in the DMZ need to be reached by their real IP address.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWe have remote users that dial-in over ISDN to a Cisco 2911. We have configured AAA to pass the authentication off to a RADIUS server. Once successfully authenticated, the router permits the users to access a single web server. However, we need to do some testing in our test environment, but unfortunately we don't have an ISDN line to test with. We have created a little environment in our LAB using a 2911, a switch, a RADIUS server & web server. I was hoping that we could simply create a "user" VLAN off the back of the 2911 to simulate our remote users, and access the web site from the test usr PC's over the LAN. I was hoping that the 2911 would be able to intercept the connection and pass the authentication off to the RADIUS server (as it does with the PPP ISDN traffic). But I cannot find anyway to do this, because I can only configure AAA to offload either PPP traffic or telnet/ssh connections to the router itself.
In summary what I want is for a user to access an internal web site over a LAN interface of a 2911 - but have the 2911 authenticate the user via a remote RADIUS server first. Is there a way to configure a 2911 (or any router!) to do this?Is the answer to configure port-based authentication (802.1X) on the switch?
