Cisco WAN :: 1023 - IP Packet Debug On 29xx
Apr 17, 2012Using 'debug ip packet acl# det on a 2911. On an older Cisco router you could set up an ACL
access-list 150 permit tcp any any eq 1023 and then run debug ip packet 151 det and this would give a good debug output for any traffic matching a TCP port of 1023.Now when I try this on a 29xx ( Version 15.1(4)M3 ) I get the screen filling with a lot of multicats HSRP communications.
I have tried rewriting the acl to have other deny statements after the permit to limit the source or destination hosts and/or the ports but the HSRP data is still there.

Dec 16, 2012We have VPN IPSec tunnels on cisco routers between Remote/Central sites. I'd like to replace the old 2811 by 29xx on the remote sites.So I did export/import RSA key for the certificate as follows:On 2811,But the IPSec tunnel didn't go up, it stayed in MM mode giving "Bad certificate" message in the log.I ckecked and compared the RSA key and certificate between these routers; they are the same in characters.

+ 2 WAN ports (10/100/1000 Mbps, RJ-45)
+ 8 LAN ports (10/100/1000 Mbps, RJ-45)
+ Serial Port for terminal program access
+ other options the FVX538v2 does provide

Oct 4, 2012Is there an easy way to detect NAT devices - specifically home wireless routers like those from NetGear or D-Link or Linksys - on my network? I've shut down the ones that are easy to find by looking at the hostnames on the DHCP server, walking around with my phone and capturing the MAC address of the AP then finding a matching MAC address one number higher or lower. But there are still more out there evading me and I need to shut them down.I've read about a method using SFlow/Netflow, but my old Cisco 3750 and 2950 switches don't support that. I've read about a plugin for a Linux based firewall, but I use a Cisco ASA.

Jun 20, 2012I have WLC 2540 and AP 1142..i have configure them both and got connected(WLC can detect the AP) yesterday then i turn off them both and now when i powered up , the WLC cant detect the AP but AP and WLC can still ping each other they communicated at layer 2, both WLC and AP in one IP segment.

Sep 3, 2012How do I fix my network so that my Windows 7 and XP computers automatically detect each other on the network. Right now, they cannot browse each other by computer name, instead I have to type their IP addresses (for example: \192.168.2.5) in the windows explorer address bar, and then I can browse to their shared folders. And under "Network" (in Windows Explorer) each computer only displays itself, and not the other (unless I have already typed in the other's IP address, in which case it displays the other computer as the IP address).

Today morning my laptop couldn't detect my home wireless network at all, but it could still detect a bunch of other networks from the neighbours. My iPhone can detect my network with no problems, my desktop computer is wired up to the router, works fine too. It's a D-Link DIR-655. This has happened before but usually gets solved when I reboot (switching off and on) my router. I've tried that, tried restarting my computer too, no use. Haven't tried anything beyond that because I'm an idiot with computers.
