Nov 29, 2011I have a 6506 with SUP1, no MSFC running CatOS.
Module 1: Removed
Module 2: WS-X6K-SUP1A-2GE
Module 3: WS-X6348
Module 4: WS-X6348
Module 5: WS-X6408A-GBIC
Module 6: WS-X6408A-GBIC
However, it doesn't seems to be able to bootup properly. Could this be an hardware issue? What should I do?

Mar 4, 2013I am having issues trying to combine two modules into one VDC. The modules are as mentioned below: When I try to combine module 1 & 10 as shown above, the nexus 7000 switch displays 'Not compatible'. I've read the online guide and it mentions that the F2 and M1 module cannot be combine into the same VDC. Problem is, my customer has already purchased the module, how do i solve this problem? If I separate the VDC, how does module 1 talk to module 10 if user wants to send traffic to Internet or Server Farm?

Jun 16, 2011I installed the network adapter with no problem (using the CD included in the box) and it appears in my device manager and is working correctly. However, when I look look at the available networks I can only find BT Openzone (it's a pay as you go service, I'm using it now to try and fix this ), and some random BTHomeHub. I should be able to see a lot more, including my Virgin Media network, but I can't. It was the best 'Dongle'[?] in the store, so I'm guessing it's not an issue of proximity. I'm also certain that the network should be publicly visable.
OS: Windows XP PRO SP3
ISP: Virgin Media
USB Wireless adapter: Belkin Play dual-band N600 F7D4101
I have used Xirrus Wi-Fi Inspector and it does not detect any networks other than the two I've mentioned.

PC Unable To Detect Wireless Network
Nov 15, 2012I was using my computer this evening and suddenly it lost the connection to my wireless network and is now saying there aren't any wireless networks in range at all. I know this is wrong because my laptop (which I'm writing this on now), my PS3 and my phone are all able to detect not only my own network but other networks in the area.I've tried a couple of restarts on my PC and it briefly connects to the network and the internet (it connects to Steam and if I'm quick I can look at a couple of webpages). After a couple of minutes though, it loses the connection and decides there aren't any networks in range again.

May 18, 2011I have an Asus 1001 PG netbook. I am having problems with my home wifi network. When I turn on my laptop, I do not receive the signal for our home wifi network. However, I know that the network is working because other laptops at home are able to detect it. I don't think there is anything wrong with the laptop because I can still detect other wifi networks in our neighborhood. The problem only seems to be with our home wifi network. If I restart the computer, the problem is usually solved. This is not an efficient solution for me as I am used to turning my laptop off on hibernate and I don't like having to reopen all my documents.

Jan 31, 2012I connected the router to the modem with an ethernet cable and the laptop to the router with another ethernet cable. A CD came with a router (Router: Asus RT-N10), so I put that into the laptop and followed the setup. The setup offered me to install something called Wireless Router Utilities, so I followed the setup and got to the point where it asked me to connect all cables etc. I did it already, but it kept telling me that the cables aren't connected. "Unable to detect the wired connections" I decided to skip that step and opened the browser, typed in the IP and got to the other setup thing. I typed in my ISP user/pass and I guess it sorta worked. I want to configure the router etc., to pass it and all. I go to the control panel, setup new connection, type the router PIN, I name the network, I put a passkey, and I click next.It says "Setting up [network name]" and after a minute it says "The network set up was unsuccessful". And that's it. No error notes, no nothing, just a button which allows me to retry.The OS is Windows 7 Home Basic. It's a new computer so almost nothing is installed. No anti-virus etc. Router: Asus RT-N10. Modem: Billion BiPAC 5200RC ADSL2.

Feb 15, 2012Today when I came home from school, I opened my computer like everyday. Suddenly I noticed that my Internet isn't working. It said I need to connect the Ethernet Cable. Well, my cable sometimes gets loose, so I tried to tighten it up a bit but that didn't work. I tried the cable with another computer and it works fine. I checked device manager and everything should be fine there.computer is running Windows 7 Professional.Drivers are up to date, and nothing changed in the computer since yesterday when it was still working. Could it be just that the Ethernet cable port suddenly broke down? I also tried another cable, and that didn't work either. I restored the system to previous saved point.

The RTR configuration on the Source device (Cisco 6506 Sw) can be done through the below commands :
1) enable
2) configure terminal
3) rtr <Entry number>
4) type echo protocol ipIcmpEcho <Hostname or A.B.C.D IP address or hostname> source-ipaddr < IP address >
5) frequency seconds
6) exit

Nov 30, 2011Looking for a show command to display the actual physical Ram modules inside a 2911 router. I believe they come with 2x ram slots and I need to know if it has 1 ram stick or 2.show version displays the total amount of ram, but not if its 2x128 or 1x256 etc.This is also production gear so I cannot open it up and have a look until the scheduled downtime.
