View 1 Replies View RelatedI have used the WRT54GC (v2.0) router for a few years now, everything worked as smooth as butter, but a few days ago it just stopped detecting the internet connection. Everything works fine with the modem. After resetting the router, I tried to reinstall everything using the setup wizard but at the eleventh step, a pop-up message appears saying that it is "unable to detect the Internet connection" and, like I said previously, the modem works just fine. The username and password for the connection are correct (connection type: PPPoE).

I am 99.9% sure it is not a problem in the area,I think its a setting problem with the setup.

I just bought the TP Link MR 3020 and tried connecting my Tata Photon Whiz USB (Huawei EC121) modem with it. The TP Link cannot identify the modem. It goes forever into identifying mode. I next tried a Huawei E173 with Reliance 3g sim in it but again no results. The TP Link goes into identifying mode forever. I have installed the latest firmware for the device but am not able to set it up.
I have a Westell 2110 wired DSL modem for Frontier (formerly Verizon). It's not a modem that has a web interface, so I can't log into it to change any settings. It also, to my knowledge, has no bridge mode (which is a term I know very little about). I had an old D-Link WBR2310 router, and since I knew the wireless and the phones ran on the same frequency, I bought a new Linksys e1200 router. Unfortunately, when I went through the setup of the router, while I know I have a solid internet connection from the modem (I'm hard wired in as I type), and while I can connect to the router, I am unable to connect to the internet. I took down my IP address, DNS servers, subnet mask, and default gateway, and set up the router to run under a Static IP, which it does phenomenally. Unfortunately, when the ISP (via direct line or my modem) changes the IP address after a few hours, my connection drops and I have to go reset up the connection via a hard wire, taking down the information, etc. Why is this the only way I can set up my connection? What could I be doing that I'm not to get it running DHCP correctly? It worked on my WBR 2310.

SmartConnect is plugged into the WAN and I have tried the ethernet cable to the computer in spots 1 & 2. Good connection when SmartConnect modem is connected to computer directly.615's Internet indicator will turn green for a while, usually less than a minute or two, then flashes, then may actually cause the routers status indicator to flash off, then back on. Like a reset.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've had a D-link N750 DB running smoothly for about a year now. Suddenly the other day, for no apparent reason, it dropped its connection to the modem and refuses to acknowledge it anymore. The router still broadcasts the network ESSID and accepts external connections.
First, the cable modem appears to work just fine, as I'm able to hard wire with a laptop and get consistent internet service. Second, when in the router settings, the ethernet connection status reads not detected, so it seems to me that the router hardware has no idea its got anything plugged into it.
I've tried the standard power cycling methods in various orders about a dozen times. I've replaced cables and done a hard reset of router settings. No dice.

I'm using the TL-MR3220 hardware version 2.0. Firmware version 3.13.12 Build 120703 Rel.58323n. I'm using D-Link DWM-156 3.75G HSUPA USB Adapter. The problem I'm encountering is the router does not auto detect the 3G USB adapter when I power up the router. The router will detect the 3G adapter only when I plug out and plug in the 3G USB adapter. I used to have the same router but version 1.2. Version 1.2 does not have this problem.

I have reliance ZTE AC2726 modem and i am trying to connect it with using the latest firmware version 121123. Router is able to detect the modem but when it tries to dial the connection is not established and reset the router after retrying 2-3 times. It was working perfectly fine earlier when i was on 120309 firmware version. So i tried downgrading my firmware version to 120309 and again it started working. I am not sure why the latest firmware version is not working with this device. Ideally the new firmware versions for a router should fix the existing issues and all the modems which were working earlier should work.
I have used the network for the last hour but after this reboot i cannot detect my network
View 10 Replies View RelatedI installed the network adapter with no problem (using the CD included in the box) and it appears in my device manager and is working correctly. However, when I look look at the available networks I can only find BT Openzone (it's a pay as you go service, I'm using it now to try and fix this ), and some random BTHomeHub. I should be able to see a lot more, including my Virgin Media network, but I can't. It was the best 'Dongle'[?] in the store, so I'm guessing it's not an issue of proximity. I'm also certain that the network should be publicly visable.

I was using my computer this evening and suddenly it lost the connection to my wireless network and is now saying there aren't any wireless networks in range at all. I know this is wrong because my laptop (which I'm writing this on now), my PS3 and my phone are all able to detect not only my own network but other networks in the area.I've tried a couple of restarts on my PC and it briefly connects to the network and the internet (it connects to Steam and if I'm quick I can look at a couple of webpages). After a couple of minutes though, it loses the connection and decides there aren't any networks in range again.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an Asus 1001 PG netbook. I am having problems with my home wifi network. When I turn on my laptop, I do not receive the signal for our home wifi network. However, I know that the network is working because other laptops at home are able to detect it. I don't think there is anything wrong with the laptop because I can still detect other wifi networks in our neighborhood. The problem only seems to be with our home wifi network. If I restart the computer, the problem is usually solved. This is not an efficient solution for me as I am used to turning my laptop off on hibernate and I don't like having to reopen all my documents.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI connected the router to the modem with an ethernet cable and the laptop to the router with another ethernet cable. A CD came with a router (Router: Asus RT-N10), so I put that into the laptop and followed the setup. The setup offered me to install something called Wireless Router Utilities, so I followed the setup and got to the point where it asked me to connect all cables etc. I did it already, but it kept telling me that the cables aren't connected. "Unable to detect the wired connections" I decided to skip that step and opened the browser, typed in the IP and got to the other setup thing. I typed in my ISP user/pass and I guess it sorta worked. I want to configure the router etc., to pass it and all. I go to the control panel, setup new connection, type the router PIN, I name the network, I put a passkey, and I click next.It says "Setting up [network name]" and after a minute it says "The network set up was unsuccessful". And that's it. No error notes, no nothing, just a button which allows me to retry. The OS is Windows 7 Home Basic. It's a new computer so almost nothing is installed. No anti-virus etc. Router: Asus RT-N10. Modem: Billion BiPAC 5200RC ADSL2.

Today when I came home from school, I opened my computer like everyday. Suddenly I noticed that my Internet isn't working. It said I need to connect the Ethernet Cable. Well, my cable sometimes gets loose, so I tried to tighten it up a bit but that didn't work. I tried the cable with another computer and it works fine. I checked device manager and everything should be fine there.computer is running Windows 7 Professional.Drivers are up to date, and nothing changed in the computer since yesterday when it was still working. Could it be just that the Ethernet cable port suddenly broke down? I also tried another cable, and that didn't work either. I restored the system to previous saved point.
