AAA/Identity/Nac :: NAC 4.8.2 - IP Phone 9951 Not Registered / Active Call Getting Disconnected

Jan 30, 2012

I have deployed the NAC Solution. NAC Software version = 4.8.2 and Agent version = 4.8.3.1.The solution is working fine but the Cisco IP Phone CP9951 is getting restart after applying NAC (or port profiles) at some time interval. Time is not fixed but it doesn't seem stable. Sometimes, it is just disconnected while using the Phone and sometimes when you log-off or restart the PC.The Cisco IP Phone CP8945 is working fine in all cases. We are getting the message of "Phone not registered" and active call is getting disconnected.

Cisco Switching/Routing :: 400 Some IP Phones Are Not Getting Registered

May 13, 2012

I am  working in Private IT company. The facility is having 4000 users and it is a high resliency site having two core switches and nearly 40 access switches. All core and access switches are 4506E switches and odd vlan is taking core-1 and even vlan is core-2. We are having cisco ip phones 6921 connected as daisy chain.( Phone is connected to access switch and the desktop is connected to ip phones). The Ip phone are getting registered cisco call maneger server. The call manager one leg is connected to one core switch and another one is core 2 same like my DHCP server.

For all vlans the the default gateway is my firwall. The voice needs to hit the call manager, hence we have implemented a source routing to call manager for the voice vlans. the problem is once we down the Core-1 some of the IP phones are not getting registered no matterit is on odd or even vlan. The same issue for Core-2. We suspect that there might be some issue in the DHCP server for voice vlan routing. But server team is saying that there is no issue with the DHCP server. Now network is vulnerable that if any core switch is down my voice ip phones will be down.

Cisco :: SIP Trunk Configuration - One Main Registered Number?

Jun 27, 2012

I have a problem with my SIP trunk config. I can receive calls, but unfortunately I cannot dial. I found out why, and it is because I have one main registered number from TISP, and I am trying to dial with the phone number from the block. That is why I am receiving unauthorized messages when I enable debug ccsip messages. I called TISP and they said that I should always use main number and to send my number via P-Asserted id. or via P-Preferred Id. how to configure this ? I found only this conf.

Commands:
dial-peer voice tag
viace-class sip asserted-id pai or ppi

I tried with this but it didn't work. I don't know where to say what I need to insert , and instead of what .

Cisco :: Monitor Number Of Registered APs On 2504 Via SNMP?

Oct 10, 2011

Any OID to determine the number of registered AP's on a WLC (specifically the AIR-CT2504).

I've got both of the Airespace MIBs and have browsed through them but I can't seem to find the correct location.  I can find a list of all of the AP's registered but our monitoring software doesn't have the ability to 'count' that index.  As such, I'm looking for a count/summation of the total number of registered AP's via SNMP.

Cisco :: Upgrade From Callmanager 4.x To CUCM 8.x

Jul 8, 2011

We are upgrading from Callmanager 4.0(2a) to new hardware and the latest version. We have Callmanger 4.0(2a) and would like to upgrade to the newest version, at least to CUCM 8. We already have the new hardware that is compatible, smartnets and licenses. After looking at the matrix sheet it appears (there were several different upgrade routes but I could only find documentation for upgradring to 7.1(2) and 7.0(1) from 4.x so I am going with 7.1(2)) should we go:

from 4.0(2a) to 4.3(1)

from 4.3(1) to 7.1(2)

from 7.1(2) to 8.0(1)

this gets us to 8 which we can then upgrade to 8.5 or 8.6

So, we have 4 servers, 2 old (Pub, Sub) and 2 new (Pub, Sub). What is the best plan of attack here:

1) Backup 4.0(2a), then do an inplace upgrade on old hardware from 4.0(2a) to 4.3(1). Then backup 4.3(1) and do another inplace upgrade on the same server to 7.1(2). Then load 7.1(2) on the new hardware and restore backup from 7.1(2) on the old hardware. Then backup and inplace upgrade to 8.0 on the new server?

Or

2) is there any way to not have to "touch" or do an inplace upgrade on the old hardware running 4.0(2a), and just run a backup on it, load 8.5 on the new server and import the data over from the backup?

Cisco Wireless :: 4404WLC - To View AP Registered And Unregistered Logs

Apr 16, 2012

We have a Cisco 4404 WLC and and about 70 Cisco 1131 APs.  I am very new to the Cisco WLC and I need to know how to view its AP registration and unregistration logs.  We have a AP that has unregistered and we can't seem to find what switchport it was attached to.  It would be useful to know the IP address and ideally any CDP information it had.  Unfortunately you can only view this information in the WLC if the AP is registered, but at this point it is not.

Cisco :: CUCM Feature Ring Like CUCME

May 28, 2012

I've looked in many places but cannot see how or if it is possible to configure a phone, in CUCM to have a feature ring instead of the normal ring.In CUCME you go into the ephone x configuration mode, and assign the DN to the phone with the button xfx command. What this gives you is a slightly different ring tone when a call comes through. If I am not mistaken it is the same ringtone they use on the show "24".Is there a way to do this "feature" with CUCM?

Cisco :: LMS 4.1 With CUCM 8.0.2 Phones Only Detected As End Hosts

Oct 3, 2011

Looks like I still have an issue with LMS to recognize the IP Phones in UT as IP Phones. SNMP RO on Call Manager is enabled and is green in CM (e.g. topology) - so SNMP get is basically fine. The Phones are recognised as End Devices in UT.

As far as I understand, now if I start a Phone Aquisition, the CUCM is polled by LMS to gather additional information about the phones. So it seems there is a problem with the SNMP polling of the Call manager?

Cisco :: CUCM Calling Party Info - User Extension Number?

In CUCME if you do not configure any translation rules and leave the system mainly at default, when a call is routed to the PSTN the CUCME system sends the true calling party ID which would be a users extension number. Is it correct to assume that a CUCM server based system, when too left at the majority of default (without translation rules or stripping etc) that it will send the true calling ID to the gateway?

D-Link DIR-655 :: WPS Registered Printer IP Is 0.0.0.0 / Mac Printer MIA

Dec 8, 2011

I used WPS on my DIR-655 Rev B1 FW 2.03NA to register a Brother HL-2270DW Wifi laser printer and my Mac can never wake it up to print. It always works fine from all my Windows machines. It appears as xxx.xxx.xxx.6 on my network. But the router only shows its IP as 0.0.0.0 on the STATUSWireless page and I can't find any way to change that. My assumption is that the Mac can't find it because of this, but I'm not an expert on WPS.Maybe I should take it out of WPS and just assign it a fixed IP using DHCP Reservation. Or is there another fix? I haven't ruled out the Brother OS X printer driver, but it and the printer's firmware are both up to date. Two odd things:

1. I can ping the printer from my PCs but the Mac can't find see in and it's not a Firewall issue.

2. I can see the brother printer in Finder's Shared devices: so it sees it but refuses to interact.

Cisco :: CME Won't Pick-up From A Cell Phone

Feb 19, 2013

I have a CME that has a FXO card, I can call the CME's number from an on-site phone and it works just fine, but when I try from my cell phone it picks up but doesn't give the dial-tone like it's suppose to, but if I hook an analog line to the phone line I can call that no problem from my cell?

voice-port 0/0/0
supervisory disconnect dualtone mid-call
secondary dialtone
timeouts call-disconnect 2
timeouts ringing 30
timeouts wait-release 2
timing hookflash-out 500
caller-id enable

dial-peer voice 201 pots destination-pattern 9T port 0/0/0 and I can see it pick up.

I was under the impression that an FXO card didn't have any clue about inside/outside etc, all it knew was that it was getting a signal to ring.

Cisco :: Phone Keeps Registering With Wrong CME?

Now, i need to point this phone to another CME but it keeps registering with the previous one no matter what i do (the TFTP server is pointed to the new CME). I have tried turning off the auto register, and i have deleted the ephone and its mac address all together but it always registers with the wrong CME.

The phone is a 7962 with a 7914 expansion module.

Cisco :: IP Phone 7906 Is Not Registering With CCM

Feb 19, 2013

I am moving an IP Phone from one subnet to another subnet.I have deleted the IP Phone configuration in call manager(System version: 7.0.1.11000-2); however, when adding the same device (same MAC address) again in the call manager, the call manager associates the phone with the old IPv4 address (even though the phone is turned off). The phone is booting up and getting a different IP address on the new subnet, and is always in the "Registering" state. The phone has the right CM IP, TFTP IP, etc. the only difference is the phone IP address and the IP address that the CM is showing in the phone device configuration. I also tried resetting/rebooting and restore phone to default factory setting but it doesn't work, i have few more devices on this new subnet that are working fine.
