I've 3750X switch that isn't loading email. then I went to rommon mode and accidently for "format flash". after that I loaded 15.0 SE2 s/w on it using tftp server but it doesn't boot up with that image. flash had only .bin file after I loaded it from tftp server.
since it wasn't booting up, I did format flash again and thought to load image again from tftp server but now, it doesn't load image from tftp server.
I'd like to know if is it possible to load lan base image on Cisco Switch 2960 TC-S. This model (WS-C2960-48TC-S) come with lan lite image and it's the same (phisically) of the 2960 TC-L (lan base image).If I try to upload the lan base image on flash of 2960 TC-S will works?? ..or the switch goes damaged?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to work out if I need to order the "IP services" image for a couple of C3750-X. I need to run OSPF on these switches, but find the IOS image requirements on Cisco contradict.
At the top of the data sheet it says: • Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) in IP Base image
On the product info page it says: IP Base: Enterprise Access Layer 3 Switching, including OSPF (Open Shortest Path First) for routed access
But in lots of other places it says you need 'IP services' for OSPF.
As the IP services IOS is quite a bit more expensive I would like to avoid buying it. What image do I need to run OSPF?
I'm having difficult getting this switch to boot from flash. I do not understand why it is trying to load "b1" from "bs1" instead of something from flash. [code]

I am installing a several new Cisco VM servers. The VM hosts are losing connectivity when we apply the etherchannel config in the core stack. VMware has stated that the etherchannel load balance needs to be src-dst-ip in order for the etherchannel to work.However, my current stack has 2 etherchannels configured to other switches through out the bldg in network closets. The current load balance configuration is src-mac.My question....when I make the change to src-dst-ip, will my network connectivity go down? View 1 Replies View RelatedWhat I am attempting to achieve is to aggregate trunk ports out of a VMware server into a single logical connection to give as much bandwidth as possible, the switches are 3750X and are three stacked together with the server connections spread across the stack. What I am not sure about is if two port channel load balance protocols can happy co-exist on the switch, by default the switch is using MAC address load balancing and Vmware wants to use IP Source load balancing. As other trunks and channels exist on the switch I don't want to make a change that will affect the other live connections if changing this is a global setting and not local on the channel.

Console and telnet don't seem to auto authorize to level 15, I end up at level 1, I'm forced to use enable command.
Rolling back to c3750e-universalk9-mz.122-58.SE2 fixes it. Going back to c3750e-universalk9-tar.150-1.SE breaks it again.

Due to a problem with POE+ i have tried to upgrade the IOS to Version15.0.2SE2, from 12.2.58. unfortunatly the Switch doesn't boot up anymore. It starts to decompress and install the IOS 2 Times, after the Second try it displays "unable to boot" and the switch goes in Bootloader-mode. When i look at the version i See that bootloader is still the old version 12.2.58. It seems that the bootloader doesn't geht upgraded and that's why the Switch can't Boot the new Image.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to upgrade my cisco WS 2960 24 TC-L switch with the IOS image c2960-lanbasek9-mz.122-55.SE6.bin and my existing IOS image is c2960-lanbasek9-mz.122-50.SE5.bin. when i am copying it to flash, it is getting copied but when i tried to boot it after entering command boot system c2960-lanbasek9-mz.122-55.SE6.bin , it gave me an error.
both flash dir and error are attahced herewith.
I inadvertantly copy the wrong image on to a 35609-X switch and now it gets stuck in a particular mode.
The original image was: c3560e-universalk9-mz.122-53.SE2/c3560e-universalk9-mz.122-53.SE2.bin and I replaced it with: c3560e-universalk9npe-mz.122-55.SE1.bin ( this is what the download site identifies as the image for 3560X-24P-S)

How can I get back on to delete this image? It ignores the break key.

The process "HL3U bkgrd proce" is causing high CPU usage issues in a switch 3750X-24T-L. The IOS is 15.0.2-SE2.
show platform ip unicast failed route and adjacencies displays a lot of entries, I've seen up to 1200.
After restart HL3U bkgrd proce takes around 10 - 20 % CPU, some hours later 99%.
A coupe of times we got logs like this:

I have a 3750X 24 port switch (with NM-1G network module) running IOS 15.0(1). Is there any benefit or reason to plug in the included Stack Wise cable and loop it back to itself in a single switch installation?
I don't see any recommendation in the documentation. The data sheet indicates a single switch is a non-blocking device so I'd think there's no bandwidth advantage like there is when connecting an actual multi-switch stack and needing to close the loop for the full 32 Gbps stack bandwidth.
About an hour ago I had the master switch on one of my 3750x (WS-C3750X-48PF-S) stacks crash. The only two items we've found that could have caused this issue are the roughly 1.3 million big buffer misses and several of the following in the syslog

I have a 3750X four-switch stack acting as the core of a fairly simple LAN. All I need to achieve (and this seems inordinately hard, but it is entirely likely that I'm just being dense) is to get access to the internet through my core switch, through the firewall and out through my VSAT. I've spoken at some length with the firewall providers (Cyberoam) and they tell me all I need to do when I migrate onto my new system (Cyberoam is currently in place at the entrance to our existing LAN) is change the local IP address of the Firewall, plug in the new switch to the LAN port, and away I go. Tried that, didn't work, so obviously I'm missing something.

I work at a hospital and we have 3750X-48P switches in stacks in various locations throughout the hospital. We have noticed that when an EKG machine is plugged into one of the ports on some of these switches and the EKG machines are set manually to 100/Full, the ports are no longer usable until the switch is restarted. The switch is configured for auto. If the EKG machine is set to auto, it will work and not cause problems. The link on the interface will show up/up and there will be output packets increasing. However, there will be no inputs on the link and the port is unusable. Unfortunately, even when the device is removed, the port becomes unusable for any device. Is there any way to fix this problem without rebooting the switch?

Currently we have configured all Sytems's Gateway is Internet Server IP Address which we are going to replace with Switch IP as Gateway.Issue is while connecting specific application like team viewer in which application tried to send keepalive message to the live server and in case of switch/router IP as gateway.
