I have a 5010 that simply won't load any system image. Loads the kickstart image just fine, but once at the Switch(boot)# prompt just give me garbage when I enter "load bootflash:n5000-uk9.5.1.3.N2.1b.bin Restarting system.

I'm having difficult getting this switch to boot from flash. I do not understand why it is trying to load "b1" from "bs1" instead of something from flash. [code]

This model (WS-C2960-48TC-S) come with lan lite image and it's the same (phisically) of the 2960 TC-L (lan base image).If I try to upload the lan base image on flash of 2960 TC-S will works?? ..or the switch goes damaged?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've 3750X switch that isn't loading email. then I went to rommon mode and accidently for "format flash". after that I loaded 15.0 SE2 s/w on it using tftp server but it doesn't boot up with that image. flash had only .bin file after I loaded it from tftp server.
since it wasn't booting up, I did format flash again and thought to load image again from tftp server but now, it doesn't load image from tftp server.

We have Nexus 7K on production. 7K chasis is not load balancing with non-cisco devices with etherchannel or LACP..I have tried all load balancing algorithms but in vain. [code]

The best option for load balancing between 2 X Cisco nexus 5548UP switches located at one site and connecting to 2 X Cisco nexus 5548UP switches located at another site.
The sites are connected via a 1GB fibre connection. I am unable to use GLBP until GLBP is supported in further software releases.
we observe that the process platform causes about 50% cpu load of our Nexus 7010.Could not find any information for what this process is responsible to find out the root cause of the high cpu load.

The nexus switches are only acting as layer 2 switches. I have a 6509 connected via a upstream link that does all of the routing for my VLANS. If have a server connected to the Nexus switches and it talks to a server on my 6509 what load balancing happens on the Nexus going across VPC 27 which is a layer 2 trunk going up to my 6509. Is it done on layer 2 or layer 3 flows?

I have a dual-homed fabric (Nexus 2248 dual attached to two Nexus 5020's via vPC). On this Nexus 2248 is a server that has a four port LACP etherchannel. The ports do not appear to be load balancing correctly. The output below shows the four ports in use and it clearly shows port e138/1/10 as getting the most use. When I use the "show port-channel load-balance forwarding-path..." command on either of the vPC switches for various source and destination IP's that use this link, it shows them correctly load-balancing across the four ports. But we do not see this when looking at stats on both the server side and the switch side.

I'm looking at adding a Cisco 3750-X switch running c3750e-universalk9-mz.122-55.SE1 (IP base license) into a stack of 3750-G switches running c3750-ipbasek9-mz.122-55.SE1.bin Given that the version and feature sets are the same I don't forsee any compatibility issues. Would there be any reason why a universal image wouldn't stack correctly with other switches running the single .bin file?

I believe that this is because a reboot would be required for the updates in the new image to be reflected in the router i.e. the image needs to be added to the system. I have Cisco 2600 series Router which has only 32 MB flash memory. I tried to load IOS image in that but image size is 29 Mb in compressed form. The minimum i found is 5 MB in compressed form but it is missing so many commands. that in 32 MB flash, how can I load image which has almost all the commands.

I have 4948E module switch at customer site and below is the show version output. Image on the switch is not supporting 'AUTO QoS' as i need to enable Auto Qos on it to prioritize Voice traffic. Which image supports Auto QoS feature . Image should have L3 functionality also i mean it should support Routing protocols.
