Oct 10, 2011I'm looking at adding a Cisco 3750-X switch running c3750e-universalk9-mz.122-55.SE1 (IP base license) into a stack of 3750-G switches running c3750-ipbasek9-mz.122-55.SE1.bin Given that the version and feature sets are the same I don't forsee any compatibility issues. Would there be any reason why a universal image wouldn't stack correctly with other switches running the single .bin file?

Oct 5, 2010I have a cisco 3750 swicth which i want to load a new ios to but unfortunately there's no enough space on the flash. This means that i need to backup the cureent (old) ios to my tftp server but the command keeps failing. It always gives 'No such file or directory' error .The free space on the flash is 8mb and my new ios is about 11mb.I also went inside the directory where the old is and inputed the same copy command but to no avail.Below are some of the command failure on the swicth:

Nov 9, 2011End user have had problem with IP phones that are connected to 3750 stack; many times IP phones lose connection with CallManager and the only way to clear this issue is with clear arp command. DHCP for IP phones is configured in 3750 stack.
At the beginning 3750 stack was set a VTP server, and the others as VTP clients, we detected another VTP server switch so we thought that was the problem, but after removing the issue remains. Finally we set all switch in transparent mode.
Base on this we decided to change the software image 12.2(35)SE1 C3750-ADVIPSERVICESK ---> 122-53.SE2 IPSERVICES I'm going to follow the procedure 3750 Series Switch Stack IOS Upgrade − Automatic .
as it show in the following information there are 4 differents models of 3750 switches, I have already download c3750-ipservicesk9-tar.122-53.SE2.tar for 3750G-24TS.
I have two doubts:
1. There is no problem for using this tar file for all models?
2. I followig command is correct for the change I plann to do ?

Feb 27, 2013It seems I have seen this before (and even done it once a few years ago).. but it has been a while. I have a stack with a Cisco 3750 stack that I have to replace a member.The replacement switch is a 3750X.
I think I have to upgrade the IOS of the older switch to be the same as the 3750X.
Current switch: WS-C3750G-48TS 12.2(46)SE
TO BE ADDED WS-c3570X-48 15.0 (1)SE2
It seems to me there was a way to upgrade the older switch IOS from the newer switch or downgrade the newer switch with the older IOS.I dont have the Cisco account to download updated IOSs.

Apr 16, 2012I am trying to configure redundancy with SSO and I need to get the same IOS on both supervisors. My issue is that I get an error when I try to copy the IOS from either the sup-bootdisk or the disk0 to the slavesupbootdisk. The Error is Invalid argument.
I have tried also to tftp to the slavesupbootdisk and get the same result.

Jan 24, 2012I have a 3550 switch that was replaced at a remote site with no IOS. This is a switch not a router so tftpdnld does not work.

The problem is the switches interface never comes up so try to connect to the tftp server. I read on google it can't be done on a switch to copy from tftp to flash in rommon mode on a switch and to use XMODEM. My problem is I do not have access to it, I ssh into a 3640 which is an access server for all devices and that is how I have console to it, how to use XMODEM over ssh.
But I'm fairly certain that there has to be a way to just copy it from tftp? I have a 3550 local and when I put it in rommon mode it stops the port check at port, port 1 goes from green when you plug it in to off then port 2 changes to amber and the rest green. So just by the look of this I would believe tftp would work; you just need to use port 1.

The problem is, the switch doesn't load flash, or will copy flash from xmodem either. It also doesnt load the helper or boot. It is user mode and lets me do nothing. It doesnt let me use the enable command to get into it. I would like to start the config from scratch. Its a 3500xl switch, 24 ports. I dont know what to do with it. I am trying to study for my CCENT Exam and would like a switch that worked.

Nov 2, 2010i have major problem with two new Small Business 300 Series switches.Everytime i try to save the running config i get a GUI error message: "Another copy process is active, please try again later."It's also not possible to re-flash the firmware because the GUI stops responding.I have also tried to do this via console access and this produces a "the copy utility is occupied by another user" error message.-> so this is not a browser based problem.My first thought was that the switch (SG 300-28) is faulty so i unpacked the next new one (SF 300)and got the same error messages!Then i had a 2 hour webex support session with the Cisco Small Business Support and they did not found a reason for this behavior.Both switches are working normally, you can configure them, but after a reboot they are back to factory default again There is no possibilty for copy running config to startup config and it's also not possible to flash the firmware.(Web GUI & Console). tell me if this is a fundamental problem of the 300 Series?

Apr 16, 2012Two computers (XP and Win7) connected on office LAN, cisco 2960, not same switches, but all in the same rack, and link togeter, same IP subnet, tried to copy some kind of 26G files from one to another, using Windows share folders, and it showed need 23 hours to finish the copying.It's not the first time, actually we always experienced very slow speed when copying files on Windows share folders. Did not see any particualler message on the switch. ports are all full/100m.

Image on the switch is not supporting 'AUTO QoS' as i need to enable Auto Qos on it to prioritize Voice traffic. Which image supports Auto QoS feature . Image should have L3 functionality also i mean it should support Routing protocols. I tried to enable auto QoS using by configuring "QoS' globally but no luck...with existing image.
