I have following requirements to implement on cisco asr1001 router.
1.G0/0/0 and G0/0/1 interfaces are connected to a swith through trunk. Multiple customers are will be using this trunk interface . Each customer will have subinterface with dot1q tag.
2 I want both sides of the ASR1001 to be in same segment .
3 If above two is possible I would like to implement shaping on each customers sub-interface level
is above implementation is possible on asr1001. configration and ios information. I found a technology called EVC . but I am not sure is that the one suited for me.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm looking at adding a Cisco 3750-X switch running c3750e-universalk9-mz.122-55.SE1 (IP base license) into a stack of 3750-G switches running c3750-ipbasek9-mz.122-55.SE1.bin Given that the version and feature sets are the same I don't forsee any compatibility issues. Would there be any reason why a universal image wouldn't stack correctly with other switches running the single .bin file?

View 4 Replies View RelatedIt seems I have seen this before (and even done it once a few years ago).. but it has been a while. I have a stack with a Cisco 3750 stack that I have to replace a member.The replacement switch is a 3750X.
I think I have to upgrade the IOS of the older switch to be the same as the 3750X.

It seems to me there was a way to upgrade the older switch IOS from the newer switch or downgrade the newer switch with the older IOS.I dont have the Cisco account to download updated IOSs.
I am trying to configure redundancy with SSO and I need to get the same IOS on both supervisors. My issue is that I get an error when I try to copy the IOS from either the sup-bootdisk or the disk0 to the slavesupbootdisk. The Error is Invalid argument.
I have tried also to tftp to the slavesupbootdisk and get the same result.
I am trying to research the possiblity of backing up IOS and configurations from an Etherswitch module, and being able to store the files onto the Host Router's flash (3925 ISR). and then being able to recover that IOS and configuration, in case I have to replace the Etherswitch Module.

The problem is the switches interface never comes up so try to connect to the tftp server. I read on google it can't be done on a switch to copy from tftp to flash in rommon mode on a switch and to use XMODEM. My problem is I do not have access to it, I ssh into a 3640 which is an access server for all devices and that is how I have console to it, how to use XMODEM over ssh.
But I'm fairly certain that there has to be a way to just copy it from tftp? I have a 3550 local and when I put it in rommon mode it stops the port check at port, port 1 goes from green when you plug it in to off then port 2 changes to amber and the rest green. So just by the look of this I would believe tftp would work; you just need to use port 1.

I am trying to configure a switch that was given to me. They don't know the password to anything. I have already tried to recover it. The problem is, the switch doesn't load flash, or will copy flash from xmodem either. It also doesnt load the helper or boot. It is user mode and lets me do nothing. It doesnt let me use the enable command to get into it. I would like to start the config from scratch. Its a 3500xl switch, 24 ports. I dont know what to do with it. I am trying to study for my CCENT Exam and would like a switch that worked.

I was thinking of getting another 870 series (probably an 877) router, as the more expensive wireless option is not actually required. View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a CAT 3560 connected to a ISR 2911 The 3560 has 2 subnets ( 192.168.1.0 /24 and 10.10.10.0 /24) The 2911 has interface GigabitEthernet0/1 on the 192.168.1.0 /24 and another GigabitEthernet0/0 on a WAN connection 172.16.7.246 I need to NAT both the 192.168.1.0 /24 and the 10.10.10.0 /24 to the single address 172.16.7.246 I have to use route-maps . I have IPSec VPN's and ZBF on the 2911 My problem is the NAT does not work for the 10.10.10.0 /24 network!Why?is my only option to use trunking between the 3560 and 2911 and subinterfaces on the 2911? I want to avoid sub-interfacing.

My Data Center has one single core switch where is connected several servers, one port is the link to the router wan and other port is the link to the FW, my boss wants to install 2 nexus in order to replace the single switch. All my network has only one address, for example 192.168.10.0/24 if I connect two nexus 7010 in VPC and Domain, each nexus is going to has 2 modules with 48 port 10/100/1000 rj45 and i wan to connect servers directly to each nexus, with this figure i'm going to have a group of servers connected in two different nexus, Do they can have the same network 192.168.10.0/24 considering that the nexus are in the same vdc and vlan and have only one gateway for both groups? If the answer is positive, which nexus would be the gate way for that address, the primary or secondary? Or i must have a different address for both group of servers, i mean for example 192.168.10.0/24 and 192.168.12.0/24?thus each nexus would be the gateway for that new address?
To have two nexus connected by VPC in a Domain mean that one computer connected to one nexus can share the same address or vlan with other computer connected to the other nexus????
We have a 3750X VTP Server and the rest of the switches are clients.
Due to cabling issues, we have a switch (Switch F) that we can't connect directly to the 3750X so we have it connected through another switch. Everything is set to VTP client with the correct domain and password but this not-directly-connected switch isn't receiving any VTP VLANs.
Anything I need to do on Switch D so that Switch F can receive the VTP updates?
I have a cisco 3750 swicth which i want to load a new ios to but unfortunately there's no enough space on the flash. This means that i need to backup the cureent (old) ios to my tftp server but the command keeps failing. It always gives 'No such file or directory' error .The free space on the flash is 8mb and my new ios is about 11mb.I also went inside the directory where the old is and inputed the same copy command but to no avail.Below are some of the command failure on the swicth:

I recently posted this same issue the other day, using TFTPd32. Now i am pretty close to fixing it. I do have a different setup; my pc ethernet port is broken so I am using an ethernet/usb adapter. I am attempting to backup my IOS from a 3550 switch to my PC.

i have major problem with two new Small Business 300 Series switches.Everytime i try to save the running config i get a GUI error message: "Another copy process is active, please try again later."It's also not possible to re-flash the firmware because the GUI stops responding.I have also tried to do this via console access and this produces a "the copy utility is occupied by another user" error message.-> so this is not a browser based problem.My first thought was that the switch (SG 300-28) is faulty so i unpacked the next new one (SF 300)and got the same error messages!Then i had a 2 hour webex support session with the Cisco Small Business Support and they did not found a reason for this behavior.Both switches are working normally, you can configure them, but after a reboot they are back to factory default again There is no possibilty for copy running config to startup config and it's also not possible to flash the firmware.(Web GUI & Console). tell me if this is a fundamental problem of the 300 Series?
View 6 Replies View RelatedTwo computers (XP and Win7) connected on office LAN, cisco 2960, not same switches, but all in the same rack, and link togeter, same IP subnet, tried to copy some kind of 26G files from one to another, using Windows share folders, and it showed need 23 hours to finish the copying.It's not the first time, actually we always experienced very slow speed when copying files on Windows share folders. Did not see any particualler message on the switch. ports are all full/100m.
View 9 Replies View RelatedA specific switch port which happens to be part of a 2 switch 3750 Switch Stack is seeing multiple CDP packets from 3 extra switch port interfaces that are not directly connected. Noteworthy is that the far end devices have the correct CDP entries and I physically confirmed at least two of those connections that lead to the switch "upstream to the culprit switch". Tricky part is that its production so room for maneuvering is limited. At some point I disabled all Ports save for the real uplink and the problem momentarily disappeared. Re-enable the interfaces problem resurfaces. Is there an explanation, technique to eliminate the culprit with minimal disruption?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI want to know is it possible to check Internet speed directly in the cisco router thru any command or activating any service in the cisco router?.As it is seen most of the times internet speed offer by ISP is different as compared to clients.and Clients most oftenly not satisfied with internet speed The problem is that our ISP has given us 100MB leaased line.But when we deployed in production network the speed is same as DSL.We have reported this issue to ISP they then carried out Iperf test by connecting laptop directly with the ISP router.They have tested the speed and it shows about 94-96 Mbps and argu that it is up to the mark and there is problem at your side(i.e our internal network).Now our internal network has cisco 1841 router connected directly to ISP 3825 cisco router.Our router has minimum configuration as required to pass traffic out and in.Our internal 1841 router is connected to switch to which different clients are connected.We have performed some online tests using different speed checking websites and also perform real time tests by uploading and downloading files.The speed is much low as compared to 100Mbps and it is nearly or slightly higher then as DSL connection. how can we check internet speed in the specified scenario?Is there any command or service available in cisco router to check internet speed as we want to check ISP connection speed directly thru 1841 router?what about authenticity of online speed checking websites?Any specialize software/tool you recommend to check Internet speed in specified scenario?
View 11 Replies View RelatedI have a Cisco 7206VXR running 12.4(24)T3 IOS. It is configured with WCCPv2 using L2 mask redirection. I am using service groups and associated extended ACLs to select which subnets I want to redirect port 80 traffic from.
It is working fine for the subnet 192.168.1.0/24....

... however, there is OSPF running between the router and a Mikrotik device directly connected to this interface. The gateway addresses for all the client subnets are on the Mikrotik. Traffic from other subnets, e.g. 192.168.2.0/24, 192.168.3.0/24 come in on this interface and I want to redirect those too. But it appears that the redirection doesn't work for those subnets (I don't see any hits on the relevant ACL for any subnet except 192.168.1.0/24).
It seems like the router only wants to redirect traffic for subnets that it has an IP address in itself. Admittedly, all of the example configs i've found on cisco.com are for redirecting traffic from directly connected subnets but I can't find anything that denies thie possibility of redirecting any traffic that comes in on a given interface.
The question is, is this how WCCPv2 redirection works? i.e., the router must have an IP address in the subnet to be redirected?
we have the following setup for our network :
UserNetwork - ASA5550 - WAN Router 2911 - ISP Netowrk - Branch Routers 877s / 1941s
Since last week we started noticing this problem that the branch users started to complain of slow application response.. After verifying it with the ISP and middle network we noticed that if i ping from my machine (ie usernetwork) to the WAN Router interface (facing the ASA) , i get time outs.. which is strange cause this is directly connected to it via ethernet cable.
When I config BGP on my 3750X Switch, it show error as below:

On the datasheet there is a 12.2SG but is an IPBASE with SSH? W/O SSH? UPGRADE SSH? I'm trying to make a comparison between this image and a cat4500e-entservices-mz.150-2.SG2.bin (Advanced Enterprise Services) on the feature navigator to make sure the our customer need this last IOS Upgrade.
I have 4948E module switch at customer site and below is the show version output. Image on the switch is not supporting 'AUTO QoS' as i need to enable Auto Qos on it to prioritize Voice traffic. Which image supports Auto QoS feature . Image should have L3 functionality also i mean it should support Routing protocols. I tried to enable auto QoS using by configuring "QoS' globally but no luck...with existing image.
