View 1 RepliesWhy does my 3750x-12s switch say it's not supported in CNA??? I upgraded to CNA 5.7.1 and still says unsupported. This device is supported or I'm just missing something.I use CNA heavily to manage our MANY vlans.

I've 3750X switch that isn't loading email. then I went to rommon mode and accidently for "format flash". after that I loaded 15.0 SE2 s/w on it using tftp server but it doesn't boot up with that image. flash had only .bin file after I loaded it from tftp server.
since it wasn't booting up, I did format flash again and thought to load image again from tftp server but now, it doesn't load image from tftp server.
How can I Upgrade a Cisco 3750X 12-SFP switch with IP Base to IP Services Image?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to work out if I need to order the "IP services" image for a couple of C3750-X. I need to run OSPF on these switches, but find the IOS image requirements on Cisco contradict.
At the top of the data sheet it says: • Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) in IP Base image
On the product info page it says: IP Base: Enterprise Access Layer 3 Switching, including OSPF (Open Shortest Path First) for routed access
But in lots of other places it says you need 'IP services' for OSPF.
As the IP services IOS is quite a bit more expensive I would like to avoid buying it. What image do I need to run OSPF?
my office is looking in ordering a HWIC-1FE to supply our cisco 1841 router with a second ISP connection. i wanted to find out if this card support load balancing and fail over? not sure if fail over is the right terminology so ill explain, i need it so that if one ISP connection goes down (as it does often) it fails over to the second ISP.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm looking at adding a Cisco 3750-X switch running c3750e-universalk9-mz.122-55.SE1 (IP base license) into a stack of 3750-G switches running c3750-ipbasek9-mz.122-55.SE1.bin Given that the version and feature sets are the same I don't forsee any compatibility issues. Would there be any reason why a universal image wouldn't stack correctly with other switches running the single .bin file?

If not I will have to get licence for the 3750X?
I would like to configure the policy base routing (PBR) on router (3900) base on the "specific tcp port" (TCP port 16255) to re-direct the traffic to another FE port.
From cisco web portal, CAT 4500 should support PBR as below:"Policies can be based on IP address, port numbers, or protocols. For a simple policy, use any one of these descriptors; for a complicated policy, use all of them." url...
Does 3900 router has the same features on the PBR? if yes, can it support "source tcp port" and/or "destination TCP port"?
We just purchased a bunch of 3750s, and we need to do EIGRP stub routing and VRF routing
For the newer IOS versions (15+), will I need activation keys?
using the 55xx as a L3 Distribution switch or even as a Core. By enabling the L3 features does it allow you enabled L3 SVI's for VLAN interfaces or are there interfaces on the daughter card that are used for routing instead?

View 1 Replies View RelatedWe are experiencing output drops on our 3750G-12S (IOS 12.2.55).
I have monitored throughput with MRTG, but it doesn't seem that high compared to that the 3750G is supposed to handle 17.8 Mpps.
The 3750G's are stacked, running ospf, qos, multicast (IPTV) and etherchannel. Is the maximum throughput reduced by stacking or any of the other features?
I don't know if one can estimate what the maximum throughput is per ASIC or per port, but on one of the ASICs that is having drops the peak unicast load is 1.3 Mpps and multicast Mpps is 0.9 Mpps. Total ~2.2 Mpps.
This doesn't seem high at all and I don't understand why the drops are appearing. What I can do to find out the reason for these drops?
I came across this Multichassis EtherChannel Features when read about information from Cisco Smart Business Architecture. After checking further, knowing that Cataly stwitch 6500 supports this feature.provide information that beside Catalyst 6500, is there any other model of Catalyst switch can support this feature?

I have a stack of 2 x 3750X switches these are running 12.2(55)SE5. I needed to add some static IP routes and found that the ‘ip routing’ command is not supported. I came across a document that stated “On switches running the LAN base feature, static routing on VLANs is supported only with Cisco IOS Release 12.2(58)SE and later.” So I have upgraded to 12.2(58)SE2, but ‘ip routing’ is still not a valid command.
The release notes state:“On the Cisco Catalyst 3560-X and 3750-X Series, it adds support for 16 static IPv4 routes in the LAN Base image.”
I have read other posts that talk about running the ‘sdm prefer routing’ command which I have done, but I am still unable to add any routes or run the ‘ip routing’ command.
I have an 1811 with several subnets connected to it.I recently installed a 3750x plant and want to bring my interior routing back to it.
All the routing is handled by the 1811 via secondary interfaces on vlan1?
I have 192 ports, and subnets show up on almost all of them. None of the ports are assigned to any specific vlans. Most ports have several subnets on them.
What is the best approach to getting the 3750x to handle the routing?
MAC Support: 16000
Backplane: 18Gbps
Forward: 28Gbps
VLAN's: 4000 (q-in-q support)
Jumbo Frame Supported
Supported 8000 static routing
