Cisco Switching/Routing :: Switches Supported With RPS2300?
May 2, 2012
I know the white papers say that the RPS 2300 supports the 3750-E series and the 3750 series, but we have 3750-G and -X series. Wanted to make sure that these switches are supported and if we need anything special?
When using dynamic configuration tools, if I choose 2960 (not 2960s), I have the option to choose RPS2300 as redundant power, but when I choose 2960s, I cannot choose RPS2300. However, in a document describe both 2960 and 2960s, it said that RPS2300 can be used. Does RPS2300 support 2960S?
got a RPS2300 with 4 cat3750g48ts on it (yeh I know - Cisco documentation allows only 2 of them ). What will happen if I connect an additional Cisco 2921 router?
Is 'mls qos' supported on Cisco 877? I want to implement bandwidth limiting on a specific IP using access-lists on a class-map.If yes, what version and software do I need (ip base, adv security, etc)?
Why does my 3750x-12s switch say it's not supported in CNA??? I upgraded to CNA 5.7.1 and still says unsupported. This device is supported or I'm just missing something.I use CNA heavily to manage our MANY vlans.
We are trying to migrate from 1g to 10G, couldn't find any module on 6509-E which supports 10G on SFP+ ...I can see X2 and Xenpacks .. but not SFP + .what exactly this Xenpack means ?
On googling I came across documents that say OTV (Overlay Transport Virtualization) is supported on Cat 6500. Any authentic information whether OTV is supported on Cat 6500, especially with Sup-720B? FYI, Cisco Feature Navigator does not mention it.
Does GLC-GE-100FX is supported on the WS-C2960S-24TD-L. I don't see this switch listed under the compatibility matrix.URL
But the datasheet for the 2960S says this:
"The Cisco Catalyst 2960-S with SFP+ does not support the GLC-FE-100BX, GLC-FE-100FX, or GLC-FE-100LX." But it provides no reference for the GLC-GE-100FX The easy answer is, no the 2960S-24TD doesn't support it, any clarification if possible.
i want to know of the IOS verstion of cisco switch which support STP,some one told me that this feature is activated by deafalut if it not activated, how to turn on this Feature.i am using cisco 2960 Switch.
I am working in an environment where i have to use more etherchannels, any way that how many etherchannels could we create on Cisco Switch 3750 e. do they can utilize high process resources of CPU.

Checked the data sheet and is not supported. Why we get this log from the switch? is it cosmetic?
I would like to know whether WOL is supported on a N7K with 6.x code and F2 line cards. I also would like a how to for this. If it is not supported will an ip helper address to the broadcast address of the destination vlan SVI will suffice to get it workinng. If so I can restricht the forwarded broadcast to only the wol traffic.
I have a Cisco 1921 Router, a Cisco Catalyst 2960 and a Cisco Catalyst 2970 and I want the router to be able to assign ip-addresses by what VLAN a device is active on.
VLAN1: 10.0.0.0/24
VLAN2: 10.0.1.0/24
The router is connected to the Catalyst 2960 and there on to the Catalyst 2970 so the VLAN1 and VLAN2 is active on the to switches and the Router.is it possible?
I have a heck of a time finding this kind of information on the cisco site...Is the WS-SUP720-BASE line card a fully supported module in the 6509-E chassis?
I'm trying to configure a SPAN session on a Cisco 3725 router, but it won't let me complete the command. The router has two Fast Ethernet interfaces: 0/0 and 0/1. I'm trying to configure a SPAN session with Fa0/0 as the source interface and Fa0/1 as the destination interface. [code] But when I try to configure the session, it seems like it's giving me the option to configure the SPAN session, but in the end the router won't let me: [code] When I type "?", why would it give me the option of using the Fast Ethernet interface as source port, then when I try to execute the command, it doesn't like it?
I have a 3750 switch (c3750-ipbasek9-mz.122-46.SE.bin) were i want to add bandwitdh limit pr. interface, doing the following:
ip access-list extended customer_A permit ip any any class-map match-all BW_10Mbps
[Code]....
When i trie to apply the "service-policy output 10 Mbps" to the interface, it says the service-policy output is not supported on the switch. Is this a software related isue ?
We have purchased two new Nexus 3548 switches. According to documenation the Nexus 3K does support vPC. When trying to enable the feature I get this:
nexus(config)# feature vpc Error: vPC feature is not supported nexus(config)#
We are running software version version 5.0(3)A1(1) and it looks like the latest version is 5.0(3)A1(2) so that's not much of a difference.Am I missing something here?
I'm having some weird issues with our 3560 that's connected to an MPLS line. The speed of the port plugged into the providers equipment is 100Mb, but we're only allocated 10Mb of bandwidth from them, I tried to police our traffic out of the port using srr-queue bandwidth limit 10, however when I do that I get some really weird bandwidth results.
Using iperf I've run bandwidth tests with srr-queue bandwidth limit enabled and with it disabled, when it's disabled I get the full 10Mb as expected, however once I enable it I'm lucky to get 5Mb, and while the test is running connectivity between sites is almost useless (which is not the case if I disabled bandwidth limit). Is there anything special I should be doing when I have this enabled? I also have priority-queue out enabled with only one dscp marking placed in queue 1, with very little traffic hitting that queue, but regardless of what I do I can't get the expected bandwidth with the bandwidth limit command, even if I place my iperf traffic in that priority queue.
My clients switch is running out of Spanning-Tree instances (c3560 only supports 128 instances). I know that running RSTP with VSTP can mitigate this that all instances over 128 will be handeled by RSTP, but before I implement this are there any other thoughts out there on how to mitigate this. Would MSTP be able to handle more STP instances or MISTP perhaps?
