Cisco Switching/Routing :: 3825 / Cannot Ping LAN IP

I have a cisco 3825 router with two GE interfaces. GE0/0 is connected to a switch through ethernet cable. I have configured the GE0/0 interface with IP address. I have also configured static route for the local network. However, now I can only ping the GE0/0's own IP from the router. Here are the running-config:

I have the task of replicating the router config on a 3825 router on a 3750 switch. Reason is we are taking out the router and replacing it with the switch to make use of the router for other functions.
Below is main part of the router config:

The 3750 switch I have runs C3750E-UNIVERSALK9-M, Version 12.2(55)SE3 on a LAN BASE license.
The first thing I have done is to order for a license upgrade to IP BASE which would give the support for OSPF routing.I do not see much of an issue with the Interface configs, however, I am not too sure about replicating the routing config on the switch.
My question is can I run the commands as shown for the OSPF routing on the switch? If not, can I get suggestions on how best to set this up on the switch?

I have a 3825 router that I have setup with the following: [code]
Its on a trunked port to my 3750 switch. I am new to this compnay and havent changed it over to IP routing on the switch quite yet.Both Vlans are setup on the 3750 without an SVI. All hosts on VLAN 1 can ping both interfaces without issue.
If I put a host on the 172 VLAN it cannot ping anything on the router. If I put another host on the VLAN they can ping each other. If I put an SVI on switch the 172 VLAN hosts can ping the switch, but still not the router. ONce I put the SVI on the switch, it can no longer ping the router. I am giving the SVI ip 172.22.1.5/24.
I have verfied with TAC that the trunk is allowing the vlans to the router.
I have been working with TAC. They have asked me to update the code on the switch, but I think they are just punting. [code]

After formatting the CF, the router is able to see the flash without a problem. I copied files to the flash - still able to see the contents okay. The problem ia that if i restart the router with the new flash, i get this error:

I have a Cisco 3825 router with a sfp module .(multi mode Cisco sfp ) connected to a Alcatel switch with fiberxon sfp. On a Cisco router the sfp card is been recognized and is seen when i used " show ip int brief " or show inventory commands. However the line protocol is down.
is their any compatibility issue with one side Cisco sfp and other side fiberxon sfp ? we have tested Cisco sfp -------Cisco sfp works fiberxon ----------------fiberxon works .

I have 2*3825 routers configured with GLBP, but traffic is moving only with one router it only fallback on other router when the 1st router is isolated.
diagram: LAN=======>ASA(Routed mode with active-standby)======>one Cisco L2 switch========>2 *3825 Router
When trace route from LAN PC show that traffic is only taking via single router. LAN gateway is defined as ASA inside address and in ASA a default route pointed to GLBP address.
RTR1 config:

I used the Cisco Configuration Professional to add an Easy VPN Server to my 3825. I'm able to connect when remote but I can't ping the default gateway of 192.168.1.1 which is in the same network as the VPN DHCP pool. I can access every single other device on the VLAN segments but not the default gateway which means when i connect I can't look at my router. And there's more, I cannot ping anything offnet (ie 75.75.75.75).
Attached are some images which show some details from the client during the VPN connect and a few from the router (i had to use the lan switch as a jump host). If you can figure this out before I go back to the coffee shop to test this tomorrow I will send you a cake.

I was wondering if there was a way to disable the RPS in a 3825? When I do a Sho Env All I get the following;
Redundant Power System is present.
RPS is in standby state

How ever there is no RPS in the system. At least not that I know of. There is only one power supply.

I have a new 3560G to set up a small network for a remote site. I configured the vlan and an SVI as the gateway. The switch is also the DHCP server for the LAN. I configured Gi0/2 as L3 port, connecting to the nearest neighbor. My network runs EIGRP so i advertised the routes into the EIGRP process. The switch forms EIGRP neighbors and learns all routes in the enterprise network. The problems I'm having now are: 1. The switch learns all routes in my enterprise LAN and can ping devices in the enterprise LAN, but I can’t ping any interface on the switch from the enterprise LAN. 2.

I set this up and I can ping all the gateways but never the hosts. I was hoping I could make these links between 6500's a mix of L2 and L3. Check it out. They are connected in a linear fashion R1--->R2--->R3. I can ping from R1 to R3's SVI4 gateway but I can never ping a host on that SVI4. I was hoping that I could use the port-channels between 6500's as routed links or as trunk links depending on the type of traffic....thought it would ease the migration. I suppose I could always get rid of the port-channels and just make separate L2 and L3 links between the 6500's.

We have one 3825 router used as voice gateway. For redudancy, we want to connect it to two different switches which has STP and HSRP running. Can I create a port-channel with two Giga interfaces in 3825 and connect to two different switches? Should I configure port channel in switch with only one port in each port-channel? I know server can be connected to different switches with NIC teaming. I just want to mimic that kind of setup. I did one time for port-channel in 3825, but it was connected to a stacked 3750X. So it's different case now.

I thought I saw a post/question in regards to "how to" configure a Broadband backup for a MPLS circuit.. What I am trying to do is use a cable/dsl/ broadband (secondary) connection as a backup to a MPLS circuit (primary). I have EIGRP and BGP configured on both the branch endpoint and the tunnel headend. The tunnel is used by the interface that connects to the secondary circuit. The branch location router is a 1841 and the "headend" tunnel router is a 3825. I am wondering about the configuration/syntax of a "weight" or static route that can be used to have data flow over the tunnel when the MPLS circuit goes down - and then switch back to the MPLS circuit when it comes back on line.

I have reconfigure my Cisco 3825 for ssh after we lost the config sue to a power faliure. I have reconfigure the same way it was configured before and working properly.
when I try to access the router using Putty ssh, I get to the authentication screen but after entering uername and password (enable secrete and line password the same) i get access denied.

Our ISP hands us an ethernet link. ISP router has one address of (for argument sake) 1.1.1.0/30 net, - let's say they have 1.1.1.1 we have the other usable address of 1.1.1.2/30 assigned to our 3825 router. Is it possible to use hsrp or vrrp if there is not two valid/unique "wan" IPs to assign to our routers? For example, if we had a pair of 3825 routers? are we stuck with basically a manual failover or requesting our isp to provide a larger address wan block?

I'm fairly new to Cisco products am in the process of developing my network knowledge on a deeper level. I have a 3825 with a HWIC-4ESW and I'm struggling to fully understand how the two "see" each other. I've setup a V LAN with a layer 3 address on the HWIC and added the switch ports to it. This seemed to allow devices connected to the switch ports to talk to the built-in router ports. I thought this was all making sense until i applied an access-list to the router port. It's a simple ACL i'm just using for testing and the only thing it does is blocks telnet from anywhere. I know the ACL is setup properly because if I connect a device directly to the router port i cannot telnet to the port. However, if i connect a device to one of the switch ports, i am able to telnet to the router port successfully.
It seems that I'm missing something with how traffic flows from the switch port to the router ports and how the two "see" each other.

I could not ping 8.8.8.8 and access internet after creating the VPN. Below is my setup and router configuration: [code] From the router 1941, i could ping up to 58.185.149.141 but not up to 58.185.149.140. Since i cannot ping 58.185.149.140, i suppose i cannot ping 8.8.8.8. I am sure 58.185.185.140 is there as i use another PC which is connected directed to the office network instead of through the router 1941, it could ping 58.185.149.140.For your info, the g0/1/0 is connected to the PC while g0/1 is connected to the office network.

I just got a new 1760 router, I have an issue.
My FastEthernet 0/0 interface uses DHCP and got 172.16.2.126 /16.
My Ethernet 0/0 interface is my internal interface, it has static 192.168.0.1 /24.
On the Ethernet 0/0 interface, I have a PC attached, IP 192.168.0.150 /24.
The router's gateway is set to IP 172.16.1.1
My PC can ping 192.168.0.1 and can ping 172.16.2.126 (both interfaces of my router).
My router can ping anywhere on the Internet.
But my PC cannot ping 172.16.1.1. Firewall disabled, all security disabled.

I have a 2811 ISR, a lab unit with almost nothing yet configured other than some IP networks on serial and FE interfaces to ping to other lab routers. And I have one HWIC-4ESW installed, and I amrunning IOS 15.2.I want to set the card as a single routable interface and just have the ports act like switch ports, which I imagine is the default design of these cardsI work a lot with Cisco 891 ISRs so figured it's the same here, assign an IP to interface Vlan1 and all is well. That was wrong, obviously more config is required.It seems there are a lot of differing answers out there, so far none what worked for me. The best looking one I could find said to assign an IP to the Vlan 1 interface, then go to each of the four FE interfaces on the switch module.

I am trying to test the MTU between two 3750 switches I have in the lab. I've set the MTU with the command "system mtu 9000" on both switches and rebooted.
The only connections on the switches are the gig ports connecting the two switches. Each interface is a member of vlan 1.
I am doing an extended ping. I set the datagram size to 2000. When the df bit is set the ping doesn't go through. If the DF bit is not set the ping goes through.
The debug ip icmp shows, 4d00h: ICMP: dst (1.1.1.1): frag. needed and DF set.
Why is fragmentation needed when the MTU is set to 9000?

I have 2 routers, one is an Apple AirPort Extreme with a static outside IP address, I also have a Cisco 871 with a static outside IP address. The Airport Extreme connects to a switch on the private network and has an IP address ending in .1. The Cisco 871 connects to the same Private network and it ends in .2. The 871 is setup as a VPN Server. now when clients connect to the VPN they can ping the VLan IP Address on the 871, but they can t ping any other hosts on the smae network. The hosts on the private network can ping the vlan on the 871.

We had re-arranged and purchased new public ips and changed with new modem. Following is the new network setup diag
I have started the configuration, but stucks at a point. Current configurations setup and ip assigment is as follows
ISP modem/router(192.168.3.254)-->(192.168.3.1)1811W Router(192.168.2.254)-->(192.168.2.1)3550(interface vlan 10 - 10.0.1.254, interface vlan 192 - 192.168.1.254)--trunk-->2950
1)Configured 3550 as layer 3 switch and create a default route to 192.168.2.254
2) Configured 2 static routes(for 2 vlan range traffic) and one default route to 192.168.3.254
3) ip pass through is not configured yet, still the public ip is configured at the isp router

I am connecting a 2600 router to an ISP. Interface 0/0 is connected to the ISP using DHCP. Interface 0/1 is connected to the inside providing DHCP services to the inside. At least it should only be providing DHCP services to the inside. I also have a public static IP that is NAT to a private static IP. Everything is working except the computer on the static IP. From the router I am able to ping inside and out from each interface. I am able to ping both interfaces of the router from the computer on the static IP but I cannot ping outside the router. If I do a debug all I see a reject for the gateway of the static IP but it has “mobile IP” in the text string. Not sure what mobile IP is relating to. Networks are as follows:
