Is it possible to upgrade a c3750-stack one member at a time to avoid downtime? I need to keep L3-functionality up.
If I have one etherchannel from access-switch (2 channel-ports in 3750, in different stack-members), my 3750-stack as a distribution layer switch, and another etherchannel (also spread over multiple stack members) to core, can I upgrade the entire stack without traffic interruption?

a) I have three C3750-X switch stack together as my SAN switch and running on the new 15.0 release which is 15.0(1) SE.
b) Recently the master switch rebooted without any explanation. Create ticket with TAC and got an answer that it is due to a bug with ID: CSCtr31957.
My question is, which release that should i choose either the 15.0(1) SE3 or the latest 15.0(2)? Will it affect any of my configuration if i change to 15.0(2)?
Finally, what is the best practice to upgrade IOS in a stack whether to upgrade it 1 switch at a time or do it to all at once?

When I added new C3750v2-24PS (running image 12.2(50) SE5) in stack so I up-graded the image of existing 8 switches with latest veriosn 12.2(50) SE5. Once I have done with the upgrade then all ports of my stack switches went down after around five minuts. Is it image compatibility issue with existing switches or something else?

We have WS-C3750-24FS switches stacked supporting users on our LAN. I want take advantage of the netflow capabilities of the WS-C3750X using the C3KX-SM-10G card.
Would I be to see netflow data coming from the WS-C3750's if I stacked it with the WS-C3750X?
Also I read that the C3KX-SM-10G card would support a 1G SFP is that correct?

I am having an issue on a Cisco 3750 stack where when the stack master is rebooted, all my lacp port-channels drop and then come back up again. After doing some investigation It seems that it is happening because of lacp using the stack master mac-address as part of the system-id, so when the stack master reboots, the stack mac changes. I see that there is the command: stack-mac persistent timer 0
There is this warning about using this command:
When you configure this feature, a warning message displays the consequences of your configuration. You should use this feature cautiously. Using the old master MAC address elsewhere in the domain could result in lost traffic.
My question are:
Are there any other consequences to using this command (apart from moving the switch/mac to another location in the network)It mentions 'If the entire switch stack reloads, it acquires the MAC address of the master as the stack MAC address' Is this still the case if you have the stack-mac persistent timer to 0? Does using channel-group mode on for the port-channels still use the same mechanism of having a system-id? (Will the channels flap using 'mode on' when rebooting the stack master.

I am not on site and I have not seen a WS-C3750V2-24PS-S. Customer has a stack of 6 x WS-C3750V2-24PS-S and one unit has failed. We do not have a WS-C3750V2-24PS-S spare. Can we replace it with a standard WS-C3750-24PS-S (not V2) switch and be part ofthe stack.
1. Are there any traps gotchas?
2. What about IOS versions - aren't they different for V2 switches
3. Are the stack ports and stack cables same for both WS-C3750V2-24PS-S and WS-C3750-24PS-S
4. What is the main reason for bringing out the V2 switches. What features do they have extra?

I've got a 3750 stack with a 3750-48p being switch 1 and a 3750-12s being switch 2 and switch 2 is the master. I would like to change the stack member numbers. I would like the 3750-12s to be switch 1 and the 3750-48p to be switch 2. I undertand I will have to reboot the stack for the change to take affect but here are my questions: How would this change affect the stack running-config ? will the switchport config follow the change ?

End user have had problem with IP phones that are connected to 3750 stack; many times IP phones lose connection with CallManager and the only way to clear this issue is with clear arp command. DHCP for IP phones is configured in 3750 stack.
At the beginning 3750 stack was set a VTP server, and the others as VTP clients, we detected another VTP server switch so we thought that was the problem, but after removing the issue remains. Finally we set all switch in transparent mode.
Base on this we decided to change the software image 12.2(35)SE1 C3750-ADVIPSERVICESK ---> 122-53.SE2 IPSERVICES I'm going to follow the procedure 3750 Series Switch Stack IOS Upgrade − Automatic .
as it show in the following information there are 4 differents models of 3750 switches, I have already download c3750-ipservicesk9-tar.122-53.SE2.tar for 3750G-24TS.
I have two doubts:
1. There is no problem for using this tar file for all models?
2. I followig command is correct for the change I plann to do ?
Switch#archive download-sw /allow-feature-upgrade /overwrite tftp://192.168.0.24/c3750-ipservicesk9-tar.122-53.SE2.tar

We have 2 3750 24 port fiber switches in a stack and we would like to change the member to become the master. Both are running the same IOS and they are alive on the network. I read that you can change the who becomes the master by setting the priority number higher on the member, which we did. However this requires a reboot of the member to take effect. Is there a way to force this without having to reboot? One other note, both switches in stack have a single gig connection that goes to the core (6500). One gig link is blocked due to spanning-tree and this is on the member that we want to become the master.

I was thinking of upgrading the IOS of a number of c3750 stack (roughtly about 50-100 stacks around the country)...I would like to know is this feasible?
My CiscoWork NMS is connected with a low bandwidth (2Mbps) management link. I was thinking if I upgrade via CW2k, then RME will take "ages" to push the IOS to the stack, right? Is this feasbile for 100+ stack of switches?

LMS 3.2.1, what is the correct baseline template syntax to accomplish the requirement 2:
Requirement 1
• Check if the router is running H323: You can do it looking for the command “h323-gateway voip interface”. If that command is found on a router then it is an H323 voice gateway
• Configure the global command: voice class h323 1

You can set the ME3400 switch set to the Routing SDM template such that it support PBR. That is done in the ASICs, right? Because if it is done in software the switch could quickly become overwhelmed.

I'm assuming that there is a bug in version 3 but after googling I didn't come up with much.

A site that i am responsible for has the following equipment installed:
2 x 3750G Switches configured as a stack using Stackwise - Collapsed Core/Distribution Layer
5 x 2960G Switches as Access Layer switches
WAN connections into the Core/Distribution Layer are all Gigabit Ethernet over Fibre. This is a dedicated CCTV Network with 50 Cameras all streaming video into the Core (decoders connected to access switches)Each 2960G has 2 links to the Core/Distribution 3750G Switches, 1 to each switch - Gigabit.I'm running rapid-pvst on all switches, so spanning tree is blocking one of the ports and effectively halving the 2 gig bandwidth. Next year our customer is going to add in a further 50 - 60 cameras. After monitoring the current loading on the ports in use, we have suggested to the customer that the 2 connections to each should be Ether-channeled together. [code]
First interface takes commands no problem, keep getting the message that etherchannel cannot be configured across different switches in a stack when i try to put the second interface commands on.

I have a problem to solve in our data center, see attached drawing. HW: Our core switches consists of two stacked C3750 with ip routing. What I want to do is probably simple but I haven't been able to figure out the best method.
VLAN10 and VLAN20 should not be able to communicate with each other. (ACLs?)VLAN10 will have it's own default route/firewall. Both VLAN10 and VLAN20 should be able to send server backups to server in VLAN30. All 3 V LANs come in on a trunk from a pair of stacked C2960-S. I need it to be able to scale if we have 50 VLANs for instance, hopefully without long complicated ACLs. I've been considering VRF's, PBR but can't decide what's the simplest solution to this problem. I have never done this before so I would prefer to start off on the right foot.

I am having troubles to get 2 C3750-X switches WS-C3750-X-48P-L) to stack. They are both running iOS 15.0(2)-UNIVERSALK9, and are licensed for IP Base.
If I connect stack port 1 of switch 1 to stack port 2 of switch 1, and stack port 1 of switch 2to stack port 2 of switch 2 I get the following:
WS-C3750-X_STACK1_SW1>show switch stack-ports summary
Switch#/ Stack Neighbor Cable Link Link Sync # InPort# Port Length OK Active OK Changes Loopback Status
[Code].....
I have tried restarting (powering off for about 1 min and turning back on) simultaneously, and powering off switch 1 for 1 min and switch 2 for 2 min. I have also tried both enabling the stack ports, and disabling followed by enabling.

I have a cable from an SFP module in a WS-C3750-48P with 12.2(55)SE1 running to a Gigabit port on a Cisco WLC. After the switch recovers from a power failure, the gigabit autonegotiation fails. The cure is a long drive to unplug and reseat the SFP. Note this happens at too many similar sites for this to be a loose connection. Interface shutdown then 'no shutdown' is not sufficient. The state is 'line protocol is down (not connected)'. Interface is configured for switchport mode trunk (auto speed, auto duplex). Command 'switchport nonegotiate' makes no difference. Is there a more powerful command than 'shutdown' which might toggle the interface signals? Is there some way of resetting the SFP? sh int gi 1/0/1 displays 'media type is 10/100/1000BaseTX SFP' and zero packets received.

I would like to apply policing on a C3750 interface, for all traffic matching 10.0.0.0 / 8, except for sub net 10.0.0.0 / 24. I plan to apply the following configuration, with an ACL that denies 10.0.0.0 / 24 then accept 10.0.0.0 / 8. I am quite sure of the answer but need a confirmation about the following configuration correct ? (10.0.0.0 / 24 will be not blocked, and no policing will be apply on it?)
ip access-list extended TEST
deny tcp 10.0.0.0 0.0.0.255 any eq 5000
permit tcp any 10.0.0.0 0.255.255.255 any eq 5000

I have a stack of 2 C3750-switches (WS-C3750G-24TS-1U) with IPBASE-firmware (12.2(52)SE).
When I ping to a machine (in this case a virtual one), the replies are always received on the port where the machine is connected, but on the port-channel connecting to the stack of the 'pinging device' the reply comes only for certain initiators, and not for all.
Setting:
Gi1/0/6: Device/Server I want to connect too ; defined as access port
Gi1/0/25 + Gi2/0/25, as Port-Channel 1: The location of the devices I connect (read as: the uplink to the stack of the PC's), defined for Dot1Q-trunking
Monitoring setup: Source ports: Both: Gi 1/0/6, Po1 (or Po1 replaced by both interfaces)
For the machines which can ping the server I see 2 echo (ping) requests, followed by 2 echo (ping) replies ... So once seen on the Po1, and once seen on the interface Gi1/0/6.
However for other machines, the 2nd reply is missing ; which must be caused by the dropping of these packets in the switch. At least, I my opinion this must be the reason... But I can't see any (change of) output drops at int Po1, nor at Gi1/0/6. The CPU doesn't seem to have high usage, and even then, I don't think the error would be constant, as it's always failing for some PC's, and never for others... (at least for a certain time, a few hours it can be constant, the problem dissapears from time to time).

we recently had on our network a simple layer 2 loop problem, with big effects. Here is the situation: we have a C3750 switch, with STP activate on all ports. We don't have total control on this switchs, and for some reasons, it is possible that people connect a 2d switch on it (Cisco or non-Cisco).What happened several times is a classic case: a person interconnect 2 ports of this 2d switch, creating a loop. As the loop is created on the 2d switch only, the 1st switch detect no loop, the the uplink port keeps up.Afer this loop created, a broadcast storm occurs through the link between 1st & 2d switch .. and the storm propgates all over the LAN.I try to find some solutions to avoid that. One thing I would like to do is to find a mecanism on the first switch, which can permit to block the uplink port on the 1st switch if it sees the same MAC address as source in the 2 directions.Note that storm control, even configured to a quite low value (ie: 2Mbps) is not efficient enough to protect equipment (we have had big CPU impact on LAN equipments).
