I have a 2811 that I can remotely VPN to using Cisco VPN client however I cannot see the internal admin network (10.35.5.0).

This PC is connected to a Press machine in our Production area (Lan only with machine and PLC's) so I disable the LAN to the press then the 3G connection comes up with bps activity. I want to use teamviewer on the PC for remote support but teamviewer is unable to connect like it use to and its a free license. I tried internet explorer and "page cannot be displayed". There are no special proxy settings and DHCP IP. ( Windows XP with admin rights)
Whats confusing is even if the lan is disabled, the 3G connection would only come up now and then, but then I could add. The PC has viruses and very slow at the moment and I have loaded free AVG just to scan and clean some to see if it works. I cannot format the PC or something like that because there is production software and applications on with special settings that runs the R10 000 000 press machine and if the PC stops... trouble :/ I have ordered new PC for the press machine 18 000 Euros but that would take 12 weeks to arrive and if I could get the connection internet working on the machine it would be great.
Cumputer connects to network but not to internet. I've tried wired & wireless and get the same results. I get an error message that there is a problem with the bridge adapter

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a compaq presario that will connect to my wireless network but when i open internet explorer or mozilla firefox the page will not load and says that the server cannot be found. i don't think the router is the problem since i have a separate computer that connects just fine wirelessly and a ps3 that connects to the internet just fine. the only way i have been able to access the internet with the compaq is plugging it into the modem with the ethernet cable but i want to connect wirelessly.

I have also experienced this with every network I have tried to connect to; it does the same thing. I figure it is therefore a problem with my laptop itself, but trouble shooting has yielded nothing and most of the fixes I have found require connecting to the network, but obviously I cannot do that.I can connect with an Ethernet cable just fine. It will connect and operate fine via the hardwired RJ45 ethiernet connection. If I set the network up on the wireless router to an open network I can connect to it just fine. I have no issues opening IE8 when connected to an unsecured network. This box did work until I was reimiaging an desktop that had issues and used a usb thumb drive to store files from the desktop to the netbook prior to wiping the desktop.

VPN shows connected and he is given a remote IP from the VPN Pool, but he cannot ping any IP on our network. When connected using Sprint Wi-Fi card he is able to connect and access remote network from the same laptop. Maybe there is some network overlap that I am missing.

I have a ASA 5505, which has two IPSec RA tunnels build, for each one the user is able to authenticate and get an IP address is the designated IP pool, but they are not able to ping the Firewall, or RDP to any internal servers. Here is a copy of the running config:

But I can see the network, I can ping every computer on the network, just can't get to the internet.Reinstalled all the drivers, tried renew, netsh commands, flushdns, disabled & reenabled. 2 other computers connect to the internet and each other with no problem. Can connect to other WI Fi's too, but still no internet access.

I opened up port 1723 with PPTP protocol on my E4200 router.On the client i am running win7 x64 as well. I am able to connect to the vpn, from another internet connection, but there is no local network acess. It says the status is No Internet Access. and the IP that is assigned is the 169.x.x.x one that windows defaults when it doesnt find a dhcp server.How can i get the client to connect with full local network access. Right now being connected to the vpn, it means nothing, i have no access other than being "connected".

I tried fixing it the next day, and even though there were full bars, it wouldn't connect to the network. I restarted my router multiple times and nothing. So, after a fit of anger and messing with different settings on my computer. For some reason, I was able to connect to the internet 2 or 3 times over the past week for about 10-15 minutes before it would disconnect me for the rest of the day.. So, I'm honestly so stumped. I thought maybe it might have just been my router, but I'm at my dad's house now and I'm not able to connect to his network, either. I might need to go ahead an order a new wireless adapter, but neither of us are that well with computers/networking. I'm hooked up via Ethernet cord which seems to be working fine, but my wireless is only able to read and not actually connect. (On occasion it will actually connect to the internet, but when it does I can't actually access the internet)I've tried uninstalling my wireless adapter, disabling/enabling it, a bunch of weird commands that I don't even know what they do (.. probably shouldn't have messed with those), stopping/restarting services, etc.

View 15 Replies View RelatedWe have a fairly new (about two weeks) wirless network set up in our home consisting of a Netgear modem (with wifi, which I have disabled) connected to a Belkin N wireless router. Our ISP is Optus.
My laptop (which is running Windows Vista service Pack 2) was connecting fine since we set it up until about 2 nights ago. Since then, it has had trouble connecting to the network (windows tells me it's taking longer than usual) and when it finally does, I have limited or no connectivity.The internet works fine when the laptop is connected directly to the modem, and if I unplug the wire, it stays connected to the network wirelessly for several minutes before it drops the signal.
At first I thought it was because I was using the laptop at the back of the house (with the modem and router being at the front), perhaps the signal experiencing interference, but no matter where in the house I try to connect, it has problems.I also tried updating the drivers and uninstalling/reinstalling the drivers for the adapter in the laptop, with no luck.

Title basically sums it up. Whenever my laptop connects to the wireless network in my house, it becomes unusable since nothing can no longer load. I have done a full virus scan and all, found no viruses, adware, spamware, etc. I also downloaded a program to check what programs are using bandwidth but nothing seemed out of the ordinary or enough to completely stop the Internet

I recently just had to do a hard reset on my linksys wpn824v3 router and made a new network name and password. I also changed the password for the router (suspect I may have a virus). My girlfriends computer (vista) sees the new network name and connects fine, my XP computer doesn't even see the new network, but it sees my neighbors networks.. and the laptops are sitting right next to each other.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThe modem connects to a D-Link DIR-655 which connects to a computer (Vista) and a switch, the switch then connects to another computer (Win7) and an xbox. the problem is that the vista computer will randomly connect and disconnect from the internet/ network. The vista computer also generally runs very slow on the internet. The Win7 computer runs perfectly and there is never an issue, so I'm wondering if the problem has to do with the vista computer not being connected to the switch? It is not an issue with the router, I have tried two already and the same issue occurs.the vista computer is running with a Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3R which has a Realtek 8111C LAN chipset.

On the basis of other postings on this subject, I have tried restoring an earlier restore point, uninstalling/reinstalling the network adaptors, have tried to run net localgroup Administrators /add networkservice & /add localservice, have tried adding permissions for mpssvc in regedit (DSP parameters). It is a Satelite 733. Have pinged without any response however the wifi or hardwire will show connected to the local net.I have four other units surfing the web fine and wifi picks up ok except for one unit that my neighbor need will not connect no matter what. Have updated all the drivers, uninstalled and re-installed devices, reset ip, dumped the dns several times, etc.So here is the ipconfig stuff....ignore the cable connect I only have the wifi on at the moment. I have stared at this to the point where I know naathing .Is the tunnel adaptor the indication that the card is out? I currently have two wireless printers, a MAC and a couple of iPhones that can connect to the network and internet. My desktop is plugged in and also connects fine.The BOSS just came in with his fairly new Win7 laptop and I connected it to the network, however, no matter what I try, it won't connnect to the internet. I can see his laptop in the network, it can see my computer and it says that it is connected to the network. It also says that it is not connected to the internet. I ran the troubleshooting (by clicking on the "X" between the network and the internet in the Network and Sharing Center) and it said it couldn't find the problem. The Win7 laptop has no problems connecting to the old network, nor any others that it encounters.

It's great, but I ordered a rosewill wireless adapter for it and noticed that my connection strength and speed are both pretty terrible. I went on amazon and bought a TP-Link wireless adapter(TL-WN822N). I installed the most recent "V2" drivers from their website and upon disabling my rosewill adapter and enabling the new TP-Link adapter, I was able to connect to the network, but not access the internet. I have tried power cycling the router, using the reset switch on the router, restarting my computer, and a bunch of commands that I found on this site. Is it possible that I have a defective adapter?

I'm working at a high school which has pretty large grounds. The network is configured via one central router and a lot of access points. Recently, they shut down my access point for a moment after connecting it again. The access point works fine (after finding my problem we've tested a lot of computers and they all connect to it and the internet). My laptop and my desktop - the only computers connected to access point when it was rebooted - do not connect to this access point however!
Instead, they "choose" to connect to an access point farther away, so that my signal strength is extremely low (and hence, my internet connection is very poor).How do I get my computers to connect to the previous access point with the strong signal?

The problem: My laptop connects to the secure network without prompting for a password,but then does not connect to the internet at all. This has only occurred over the last 24 hours and is frustrating. I've read some other recent posts and have gone back and done the System Restore to before the installation of Windows Updates a day or so ago and that has worked twice today. But I'm not a PC expert and I would like to know how I could resolve this issue permanently without having to undo the updates with System Restore every time I power up and log in.
