I have a Pix 515E with a VPN setup. I recently tried to connect Cisco VPN Client and get the following error: "Secure VPN Connection terminated locally by the client. Reason 412: The remote peer is no longer responding" I have previously been able to connect to this VPN using Cisco VPN Client without issue. Below is a copy of my config and VPN Client log & debug logs from Pix. We have Newwave Communications Cable internet, which i just found out the the ISP has recently implemented DOCSIS 3.0. (i'm not sure if that matters).

i just bought and installed tp link wireless G usb adapter TL-wn422G.
i was tring to connect to the internet but after about 30 second the connection to the internet was terminated, and i need to unplug the device and replug it , in order it will work again (for about 30 seconds more).
i have an edimax router and all my other devices are connect perfectly (laptop, iphone , galaxy s)
I replaced a similar router from a competing company with the AC900 N900 router. I open Live Mail (IMAP) and keep it open during the day. Since switching over, when I periodically look at email on Live Mail, I frequently get a "Windows Live Mail" message saying "Your server unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity." I have never received this message from either one of the previous routers - LinkSys, Netgear.
I am having a problem configuring SCEP for my secure mobility client. I have created a connection profile to allow certificate requests but when I fill in the step-forwarding-url field I get an error. The CA we are using is an internal MS CA with SCEP already enabled. This has been configured for a long time with our current Cisco VPN client using certificate authentication. The ASA is running 8.4.1.Here is the error I get when I try to enter the command into the group policy associated with my certificate enrollment connection profile: group-policy SSLGP attributes. url...
The organization that I worked for purchased large number of Cisco Secure Services Client Licenses for Windows XP. Now they have plans to move to Windows 7. Reading different discussions, I know that SSC ver 5.1 does not work with Windows 7. My questions are:
1) Will there be a new SSC for Windows 7? Will we be able to configure the pre-package for installation with the new SSC?
2) Can we use the existing SSC ver 5 licenses with the new SSC for Win 7?
I had an odd occurrence today on my network. One particular desktop running Vista could not access secure websites (httpsremoved the DHCP lease on my server (Windows 2008), let the desktop pick up a new address and all is good nowThis is a production network (domain) environment
We currently have an ASA 5505 Firewall with VPN services configured. The system is running ASA Version 9.0.0 and ADSDM 7.0.2. I installed the "Cisco AnyConnect Sercure Mobility Client" Version 3.1.01065 on my Windows 7 Ultimate PC. When I try to connect to my VPN service I ge the following message:
Security Warning: Untrusted VPN Server Certificate! AnyConnect cannot verify the VPN server: XXX.XXX.XX.XX
-Certifiate does not match the server name -Certificate is from an untrusted source. -Certificate is not identified for this purpose.
Without purchasing a certificate from a 3rd Party vendor, is it possible to register a "Self" generated Certificate to get rid of this message? If so are there any "Detailed" (e.g., simplified or not in Cisco-eeze language) instructions on how to setup the Firewall to "push" the certificate to the VPN client so the message doesn't come up for the user?
I need to activate AnyConnect SecureMobility client on an IPAD. I have an ASA with the below feature licenses:
[code]...
This platform has an ASA 5520 VPN Plus license
As I've understood that I need the ASA-AC-M-5520 license for each IPAD used but they mentioned that we need also the Essential or premium license to be activated on the ASA as well. As shown above, I have the "VPN Plus license" activated on the firewall.
Will the RV042 work with theAnyConnect Secure Mobility Client app? If so, is there and app note available? If not, which routers wil work with this app?
The problem is.....When I log in, the client does its start-up bit, and then displays a "This certificate is intended for the following purpose(s):" message. If I decline the certificate, it gives me the error message shown in the image, but I can otherwise continue and establish my VPNs with no problem.
Unfortunately, the certificate it selects has nothing to do with my organization ( in fact, the certificate is for "*.whitepages.com" - see images). To make matters worse, I can not find this referenced certificate anywhere under my user context in Windows.
I have tried removing, rebooting, and re-installing - it does no good. How do I force the client to stop using this incorrect certificate, and to at least use one that belongs to my organization?
Windows clients work fine. When loaced from safari in Mac OS, it also works fine. -- If I browse to the url, like vpn.xxx.com/profilename, I can login and anyconnect will start and connect automatically. Only when run from applications > Cisco > Cisco Anyconnect Secure Mobility Client, I will get this failure. Is this a configuration issue?
We are using an ASA 5520, running 8.4(3). We have users running the AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client 3.1.02026. I have the AnyConnect connection profile configured to authenticate users using LDAP over SSL. I enabled the password management and am able to get password change prompts to appear in the AnyConnect client. However, new passwords are rejected and changing passwords through that prompt does not work. I'm not sure what the cause of the problem is, since LDAP over SSL is enabled and working, which is required for the password management feature
I'm running Cicso AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client v3.0.07059 for work. Attached is a sceenshot of my network connections. I'm currently hardwired on my network connection and the Cisco VPN is a virtual adapter but is shows "network cable unplugged."
I am trying to configure interface vlan1 to get an ip address from dhcp by entering the commnad ip address dhcp ios rejects the dhcp portion of my command as not recognised although it is referred to in Cisco manuals.my IOS version is c2950-i6k2l2q4-mz.121-22.EA14.bin.I get the same problem when I try to configure ip http secure-server on the switch. Is this a known bug or whether I have the correct IOS version for these commands?
I too am having a problem establishing a secure connection for Dropbox, Adobe update and just about every website I try to access via Firefox or Chrome comes up as unsecure. I can add exceptions, but I would rather access them securely.
the customer has a problem with LMS 3.2. This software doesn't terminate ssh sessions created by LMS on ACE. All ssh sessions still exist on ACE, so no new ssh session can be created until the administrator manually clear these session on ACE.
Whenever it comes time to terminate Cat6 lines into an RJ-45 connector, there is an expected way of lining up the colors in each end. This differs somewhat between Cat5 and Cat6 but the principle remains the same: there is a standard order in which to feed the wires into the connector.
My question is, why is this order used? Is there a specific reason why it is done this way? The way I see it, since all 8 wires inside the cable are the same, it shouldn't matter which order you use, as long as it is the same on both ends...
I have a Cisco E1000 that I was changing settings on and now I cannot connect when I have a secure connection. I can connect when I disable security, I can also connect with a USB wireless adapter. Anyone else can connect to the wireless, but I cannot with my internal wireless adapater if the router is in secure mode, but I can with unsecure mode. I'm not sure what I changed or when, or if it is a coincidence. I'm using Windows Vista Home Edition. I have two wireless connections. The wireless 2 with the netgear adapter is working but the wireless with the Atheros is not. The wireless connector works with other other networks, just not the Cisco E1000 and the Cisco E1000 works with other computers. When I connect with the Atheros to the Cisco it just shows "Local Only".
I have a module of HWIC-4ESW installed into Cisco 2811 router where 3 WAN link is terminited. Suddently WAN links stopped working from last night. I have performed shutdown and no shutdown in the interface but still the the WAN link was not working. After performing a reboot the WAN link started working. No error logs were generated while the WAN link was down.
Two ASA-5510 in Failover.I already have several VPN with Cisco VPN client. Now I have the requirement to activate new AnyConnect VPN, witch "migrate" the old VPN to.The customer does not want to purchase licenses for SSL VPN, and then I have to configure the AnyConnect on IPSEC.I read that AnyConnect over IPSEC don't need SSL license - is this right?
Client version 2.5.3055.On the ASA with 8.4.2 (ASDM 6.4.7) I don't find HOW to configure the IPSEC for AnyConnect, while a friend of mine with 8.4.3 did it.Is there a way to configure using CLI, or is an item of the 8.4.2 ?When I try to connect, after authenticating Username & Password, I receive (on the client) a message "AnyConnect was not able to establish a connection to the specified secure gateway." On the "Real Time Log Viewer" I see only SSL, never IKE nor IPSEC
i now learning about SSLVPN, and i already install license in 1941 with SSL and security9 License, i learning how to make a gateway for SSLVPN full tunnel, but i meet an obstacles, when i go to my wan ip address https://wan ip address, the browser give this
SSL connection error Unable to make a secure connection to the server. This may be a problem with the server, or it may be requiring a client authentication certificate that you don't have.
My friend walked in with his laptop and connected easily.Yet is said it was not a "secure" connection. How will I know if MY computer has a secure connection?
My ISP was unable to facilitate me, and neither was Linksys chat. I've searched and found many step-by-step guidesm kind of at my wit's end here.Right now when I connect wirelessly to the internet, it jumps on a connection labeled "linksys," which is my wireless router (BEFW11S4 ver. 4). It used to connect to "Jason" (me) but that's no longer a valid connection for some reason. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to set my connection back up properly and secure it as my own.
I am using Comcast as an ISP and have a standalone Arris modem. I, obviously, have a DIR-655 router REV B with a firmware revision on 2.00NA. I have already turned off packet shaping and QOS. Also, I have set the firewall settings to Endpoint Independent for both TCP and UDP, and assigned static IP addresses to my computers. The problem I am having is that whenever I go to any secure websites, i.e. anything that starts with https, it takes an extraordinary long time to log in and to navigate to any webpages therein. I also cannot upload photos to a website and when I try the Speed-test.net website the download speed is OK but the upload test errors out, it doesn't connect.
Yesterday I updated an adobe flash and it installed McAfee Security Scan Plus on my computer. My wife used my computer to access her work email and gmail. This morning I woke up and uninstalled McAfee and now my internet is not working. Seems I am still connected to the network and all other computers connect just fine to my internet, like this laptop I am using now, just not my desktop. The first thing I noticed was that bitdefender was saying "svchost.exe has been terminated because it was deemed harmful by Active Virus Control". Upon investigating this, I ran an ipconfig release and renew. Now the yellow triangle with exclamation mark is gone and my Wireless Network Connection shows I am connected "with internet" however, I cannot use the internet. Even my weather gadget does not work.I found this website and looked at some of the suggestions. Here is what I have from my what I read on a solved thread "[SOLVED]wifi connected but no internet and unidentified network" including the three ping tests. [code]
