Cisco VPN :: Pix 515E - Error 412 / Secure VPN Connection Terminated Locally By Client

I have a Pix 515E with a VPN setup. I recently tried to connect Cisco VPN Client and get the following error: "Secure VPN Connection terminated locally by the client. Reason 412: The remote peer is no longer responding" I have previously been able to connect to this VPN using Cisco VPN Client without issue. Below is a copy of my config and VPN Client log & debug logs from Pix. We have Newwave Communications Cable internet, which i just found out the the ISP has recently implemented DOCSIS 3.0. (i'm not sure if that matters).

VPN client 5.0.07.0410 on Windows Vista sp2 when I try to connect to my cisco 851.Secure VPN connection terminated locally by the client Reason 412 The remote peer is no longer responding.I turned on debug crypto isakmp and debug crypto ipsec no information displayed on the console.I was a lot futher before but now do not know where to turn.

i got an error while connecting to my PIX (515e) via ssh connection there is an error message appears (The server has disconnected with error, server message reads: Internal Error) and at the console session at the time time, the following message appears also (process_create: out of memory)

i just bought and installed tp link wireless G usb adapter TL-wn422G.
i was tring to connect to the internet but after about 30 second the connection to the internet was terminated, and i need to unplug the device and replug it , in order it will work again (for about 30 seconds more).

I have my PIX 515E (8.0(4)24) configured for VPN access. In the VPN configuration, I am using an RA tunnel group configured to use Windows 2003 IAS to authenticate users against active directory based on group membership and using a local IP pool for address assignment. This all works fine. I got a request from a single user to have a static IP assigned from the pool. I read that one way you can do this is to get into the user properties in Active Directory for the user and in the dial-in tab tick the box for 'Assign a static IP address' to have it give the particular user a static address for VPN, but it does not work. What I would like the PIX to do is assign addresses from the local pool unless there is an address assignment configuration in RADIUS. Basically does the PIX honor the IP assigned via RADIUS even if the tunnel group is configured for a local IP pool or do I need to configure the tunnel group to use AAA address assingment for the AD dial-in config to work at all? Does the PIX functions this way? I configured the user in AD for this but it does not work. I also have the no vpn-addr-assign aaa command enabled in there which might be the whole issue. I will try to change this in the next window and see if it flies then. Just wanted to see if the PIX works this way or if I am way off here.

I replaced a similar router from a competing company with the AC900 N900 router. I open Live Mail (IMAP) and keep it open during the day. Since switching over, when I periodically look at email on Live Mail, I frequently get a "Windows Live Mail" message saying "Your server unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity." I have never received this message from either one of the previous routers - LinkSys, Netgear.

I am having a problem configuring SCEP for my secure mobility client. I have created a connection profile to allow certificate requests but when I fill in the step-forwarding-url field I get an error. The CA we are using is an internal MS CA with SCEP already enabled. This has been configured for a long time with our current Cisco VPN client using certificate authentication. The organization that I worked for purchased large number of Cisco Secure Services Client Licenses for Windows XP. Now they have plans to move to Windows 7. Reading different discussions, I know that SSC ver 5.1 does not work with Windows 7. My questions are:
1) Will there be a new SSC for Windows 7? Will we be able to configure the pre-package for installation with the new SSC?
2) Can we use the existing SSC ver 5 licenses with the new SSC for Win 7?

We currently have an ASA 5505 Firewall with VPN services configured. The system is running ASA Version 9.0.0 and ADSDM 7.0.2. I installed the "Cisco AnyConnect Sercure Mobility Client" Version 3.1.01065 on my Windows 7 Ultimate PC. When I try to connect to my VPN service I ge the following message:
Security Warning: Untrusted VPN Server Certificate! AnyConnect cannot verify the VPN server: XXX.XXX.XX.XX
-Certifiate does not match the server name
-Certificate is from an untrusted source.
-Certificate is not identified for this purpose.
Without purchasing a certificate from a 3rd Party vendor, is it possible to register a "Self" generated Certificate to get rid of this message? If so are there any "Detailed" (e.g., simplified or not in Cisco-eeze language) instructions on how to setup the Firewall to "push" the certificate to the VPN client so the message doesn't come up for the user?

As I've understood that I need the ASA-AC-M-5520 license for each IPAD used but they mentioned that we need also the Essential or premium license to be activated on the ASA as well. As shown above, I have the "VPN Plus license" activated on the firewall.

Here is the pertinent information first...

Cisco AnyConnect SecureMobility Client 3.0.4235
Cisco ASA 5510 firewall 8.2
The problem is.....When I log in, the client does its start-up bit, and then displays a "This certificate is intended for the following purpose(s):" message. If I decline the certificate, it gives me the error message shown in the image, but I can otherwise continue and establish my VPNs with no problem.
Unfortunately, the certificate it selects has nothing to do with my organization ( in fact, the certificate is for "*.whitepages.com" - see images). To make matters worse, I can not find this referenced certificate anywhere under my user context in Windows.
I have tried removing, rebooting, and re-installing - it does no good.How do I force the client to stop using this incorrect certificate, and to at least use one that belongs to my organization?

Windows clients work fine. When loaced from safari in Mac OS, it also works fine. -- If I browse to the url, like vpn.xxx.com/profilename, I can login and anyconnect will start and connect automatically. Only when run from applications > Cisco > Cisco Anyconnect Secure Mobility Client, I will get this failure. Is this a configuration issue?

We are using an ASA 5520, running 8.4(3). We have users running the AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client 3.1.02026. I have the AnyConnect connection profile configured to authenticate users using LDAP over SSL. I enabled the password management and am able to get password change prompts to appear in the AnyConnect client. However, new passwords are rejected and changing passwords through that prompt does not work. I'm not sure what the cause of the problem is, since LDAP over SSL is enabled and working, which is required for the password management feature

I am trying to configure interface vlan1 to get an ip address from dhcp by entering the commnad ip address dhcp ios rejects the dhcp portion of my command as not recognised although it is referred to in Cisco manuals.my IOS version is c2950-i6k2l2q4-mz.121-22.EA14.bin.I get the same problem when I try to configure ip http secure-server on the switch. Is this a known bug or whether I have the correct IOS version for these commands?

I have a PIX-515E that I'm trying to configure for what I thought would be a simple task. I've been playing with VMWare ESXi on a Dell PowerEdge 1850 in a lab environment. The server's IPMI is bound to one of its two physical interfaces, which I've connected to Ethernet 1 on the firewall. The interface has the following configuration:

Currently, my customer has 2 units of Cisco PIX 515E running on Active/Standby mode. As for the heartbeat link, there are 2 dedicated switches placed in between both the Cisco PIX 515E i.e. FW1 --> SW1 --> SW2 --> FW2.
My customer will be changing both the Cisco PIX 515E to Cisco ASA 5510. Now, they are asking me, since they will be using Cisco ASA 5510 eventually, can the heartbeat link be a direct UTP cross cable or must the 2 switches in between still exist?
I remember I have tested this before, few years back, in the event I were to pull out the UTP cross cable that's connecting both the Cisco ASA 5510 Firewalls directly (without any switches in between), the Active/Standby mode still works fine. It doesn't go bad whereby both the Cisco ASA 5510 suddenly becomes Active/Active, and causes network issue.
Are switches required for the heartbeat link in a Cisco ASA environment or can a direct UTP cross cable connection be adequate.

tying to connect CSM client to CSM server (ver 4.0) and getting attached error message. The server is running, no errors reported while installation, all services are up and fine. Some of my VPN users are getting the following error on Windows 7 64 bit computer. I have uploaded the client to a website. The VPN users are supposed to download and install the client from the web-site. Then they enter the URL to connect to our VPN. This worked fine during the test and only some users are having issues. This seems like Windows issue.
Error “There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personal or package vendor”

I used mixed mesh 1510 and 1520. WLC version is 4.1.192.35M (Mesh).During 2year WLC is no problem. But, recently WLC's current client error.Normally user is 20. We have an ASA 5540 successfully using SSL VPN Client Tunnels with no issues, and have been attempting to build the ability for IPSec Clients to connect as well. I have the authentication working, yet cannot complete the establishment of the tunnel for the client. The client receives an error of "Secure VPn Connection terminated by Peer, Reason 433: (Reason not specified by Peer)". In the log on the client, I see the following when the connection drops:

I get the following error when trying to connect a vpn client through an ASA5505 with an already configured ipsec AES/256 site to site connection:
regular translation creation failed for protocol 50 src:inside:192.168.1.167 dst:outside:xx.xxx.x.64
The site to site addressing is not relevant, I'm not trying to pass traffic over the site-to-site, but rather create a new vpn from inside client to outside external vpn box that's not under my control. The client is able to create a connection, but no traffic is passed, when I try to ping / rdp, the above message is returned to me. If I add the rule static(inside, outside) interface 192.168.1.167 netmask 255.255.255.255 then it works, everything works, but ONLY from this computer.
Been Google for hours, but with no result as of yet.

the customer has a problem with LMS 3.2. This software doesn't terminate ssh sessions created by LMS on ACE. All ssh sessions still exist on ACE, so no new ssh session can be created until the administrator manually clear these session on ACE.

(RME-Admin-Config Management- Fetch Interval) from 180s 420s.
Now after LMS upgrade ( 4.2.2 ) the SSH sessions are stucked on ACE. We had not experienced it with 4.2.1

Whenever it comes time to terminate Cat6 lines into an RJ-45 connector, there is an expected way of lining up the colors in each end. This differs somewhat between Cat5 and Cat6 but the principle remains the same: there is a standard order in which to feed the wires into the connector.
My question is, why is this order used? Is there a specific reason why it is done this way? The way I see it, since all 8 wires inside the cable are the same, it shouldn't matter which order you use, as long as it is the same on both ends...
