I am getting some problem with ASA WebVPN browser, in some website I cannot show links or part of the page. Is there some applet java that i cannot import in "client-server plug-ins"? I've found only java plug-in for remote access.

I have just configured a ASA5505 running 8.2.2 as a webvpn server for clientless VPN connections.
I need to setup a particular bookmark for a RDP session which forces the use of the java client for those who can't seem to get the ActiveX control working for some reason or another (virus scanners/firewalls/scerutiy policies etc).
I created a bookmark as follows, but it always tries to connect with the ActiveX control first when logging on from an IE client.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWe have a WEB VPN running on Cisco ASA 5510 (SW = 8.2.1 / ASDM SW = 6.2.1). There are multiple internal (Web) applications are published on it and are working. One of the Web Application is working from internal network but from outside (or internet) through Web VPN, it is getting stuck and trying to load JAVA version. It is to be mentioned here, the latter web application is required Java Version 1.4.2 while the working applications are working with Java 1.5.1.
Is it possible to mount the more than on Java version on Cisco ASDM to be worked together ?
is it possible to have the ASA connected to two ISP's and use the one ISP connection for Client/S2S VPN and Internet Access and the second ISP connection just for the WebVPN Traffic? How would you manage the Routing, as the default route is pointing to the first connection or is that not an issue here?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am using the port forwarding feature of the Cisco ASA5510 WebVPN to permit RDP access into the network. It seems to be working fine for one small annoynace. Whenever I click the "Start Applications" button on the web portal, I receive a small prompt to install JRE 1.4 (see attached screenshot). Obviously, this is a bit outdated and I don't want anyone to actually click on this button to perform the install. With a bit of fiddling, I can eventually bypass all of these prompts to install JRE 1.4 and it works fine anyhow (I am using JRE 1.7). Is there any way to have the system bypass this check for the JRE and just attempt to start? Or can I modify the check so that it will not prompt if newer versions of the JRE are installed? I'd rather have the onus on myself to ensure the connecting clients have the proper version of Java installed than the user potentially install an older version of the JRE.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an ASA 5510 running ASDM 6.4(9) and Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance Software Version 8.4(4)1.I am trying to configure for the first time and I am accessing the ASA via its Management Interface.I am successfully able to connect to the device and get to the Cisco ASDM 6.4(9) page.When I try to run the startup wizard, a couple of prompts displays up to the point where the java applet runs and aks me to enter my IP, username and password.As it is a new system, password and username is blank so I enter and I get a message saying "loading software from cache" which later changes to "software Update completed" and then nothing happens.I am running MacOSX 10.7 Lion, Java version 1.6.0_33.I did try and run this on a Windows system and i was able to load the interface.

if the ASA is 5510 or higher and has sw 8.x and ASDM 6.x we have ASDM -> Tools -> Backup Configuration command that create a folder containing all configuration files and webvpn personalization
What I have to do to have the same command on ASA 5505 sw 8.x and ASDM 6.x? Or is there someting similar using the console too?
And what else for ASA which have sw 7.x and ASDM 5.x, is there the possibility to backup webvpn personalization?
I have a customer using the RDP plugin via WebVPN on an ASA 5510 (running 8.2.2).They are complaining that after ten minutes or so, the RDP connection drops. Sometimes they can connect again straight away, other times they even have to re-login the ASA WebVPN again.I can't find any logging which explains what is going on.

When I proceed to the site then check the certificate via the shield on the top of the browser it shows is issued to ACSCOSC216_7. 1) Is it best to configure a separate Vpc VLAN i.e 1010
2) Is it best to configure a vrf context keep-alive
3) just have the management address as the peer ip's.
We currently have one Cisco ASA 5510 firewall at our mailn office. Our firewall does not let users access the internet. We currently have a web proxy that lets users access this. I need to let users access one website through the firewall without going through the firewall. I believe this is possible if I use dynamic NAT.

In order to have control on internal network traffic we placed a web-filtering device (Fortigate) in transparent mode.To start with of we haven't blocked anything via new box but https portal and OWA stopped working from certain computers.At the same time other https sites were reachable from the same computer/s.We checked that website was tracable using traceroute from ASA,Fortigate and even from interal computer(from the one which it is not opening).This behaviour is random.
I'd like to add an RDP to the vpn portal page on our 5585x. Looking for the rdp plugin in the 5585x download area but there is no page for Remote access plugins. Would the plugin be the same as any of the 5500 ASAs? Could I just download the rdp_09.11.2012.jar file from the 5505 download area?

When my client direct connect to internet, the file can be download successfully, but when pass through the ASA 5510 and using the internal IP address, a message something like "Are you sure want to logout from this web page?" appears in Safari after 5 mins, i think the time of the error message appear when a "you can start to download" message send from the server to client, the page session timeout so that make the user cannot download the file from internet as the session is not vaild.
I couldn't find any timeout setting in "show runn", is it possible the setting in ASDM? how can I find it and configure it?
I created some acess-lists, and you can assign a logging level to this access-list. Now this ACL has a lot of hits, so i want to see whats happening. Only the log I then see is completely empty. I cannot figure out how to get some info in that log.
I think there is some global logging setting i probably need to enable in order to get anything logged at all, but i cannot figure out which.

i've got up and running a webportal on my asa 5520 os 8.2.5 and but i can not make the ssh plugin ver ssh-plugin.111006 work, all of the others work well, no matter what web browser i use always fail, I even upgraded to the version ssh-plugin.120911 but with no luck, is there a debug or something that i could use to make it work properly?

We are having an issue with the the ASA RDP2 plugin, it has been working correctly since the installation of the ASA 2 years ago.1 month ago the functionality stopped working in IE activeX. I performed an upgrade of the ASA software in an attempt to fix, unfortunately this has not resolved the issue. Reimporting the plugin has not solved our issue either.
When using the Java client, there is a warning that -"The terminal server disconnected before licence negotiation completed. Possible cause: terminal server could not issue a licence"When a user clicks on a bookmark or types in a server name that is associated to the RDP2 plugin, the page timeouts and goes back to the home screen of the clientless SSL vpn.
I have configured a vlan interface on a 3750 switch. there is aprox 4Mb active traffic flowing through the interface, but when I do a "show interface vlan (vlanid)" the output show zero bits in and zero bits out. Its a typical L3 config with one IP on the vllan interface acting as the gateway for the VLAN devices. Is this a normal behaviur ? and if so is there any way to get the traffic in/out stats. The end PC/devices are connected to this switch via an L2 TRUNK and I dont have access to the L2 switch on which the actual devices connect. so cant get the real time stats of those interfaces.

I'm installing a new platform LMS 4.0.1 under VMWare and Windows 2008 R2.
I installed via Windows 2008 R2 Patch without problem in LMS 4.0, then updated in LMS 4.0.1.
I'm facing several issues during this installation.
The first issue I have is the following:
When I launched topology services, java jre file jre-6u22-windows-i586-p_withjacorb.exe was downloaded and I saved it on disk.
I clicked on file to install it and get the following message during the installation:
Error 1330.A file that is required cannot be installed because the cabinet file C:UserslmsAppDataLocalLowSunJavajre1.6.0_22Data1.cab has an invalid digital signature. This may indicate that the cabinet file is corrupt.
It tried to install certificate without success. I have internet access to java.com but it seems publisher is not trusted.
Recently, I've been having some problems trying to play a couple games coded in Java, such as MineCraft. Every time the game loads, my internet immediately disconnects.There isn't any error dialogue or message, it simply disconnects me.Sometimes, I am able to stay on my internet connection and play the game for a short while, but most of the time, it disconnects me.
