Cisco Switching/Routing :: 2960 Don't Display Logging Trap Informational In Show Running / Show Startup

Facing issue with 2960G switch , where its do not display "logging trap informational " in show running and show startup .where its showing all other levels from 0 to 5 and 7 after configuration and save commands. [code] after config getting saved , it do not shows in show runn or in show startup while for all other levels it do show the config lines .I tried the same on 12.55.SE release also but its same results . Is this a limitaion of this platform, is there any doc explaining the same for reference. [code]

We have a design of two 6509 running in a VSS with dual supervisor each having fthree 10/100/1000mb etherner modules. We have diagnosed a wierd problem that none of the switchports in module 1 and 2 on either switches are having layer2/layer 3 connectivity.
Tried everything from changing the cables to changing the end device but no luck with it.
Module results show pass and no errors in the logging.

I have configured a vlan interface on a 3750 switch. there is aprox 4Mb active traffic flowing through the interface, but when I do a "show interface vlan (vlanid)" the output show zero bits in and zero bits out. Its a typical L3 config with one IP on the vllan interface acting as the gateway for the VLAN devices. Is this a normal behaviur ? and if so is there any way to get the traffic in/out stats. The end PC/devices are connected to this switch via an L2 TRUNK and I dont have access to the L2 switch on which the actual devices connect. so cant get the real time stats of those interfaces.

I have a situation in which I want to log a specific message (informational - 6 level), but don't want to enable informational logging and get all the messages that come with it. Is there a feature in IOS, 3560 12.2(25r)SEE4, similar to the 'logging lists' feature on the ASA that allows you to specify logs that you want to capture without having to change your logging level? I didn't want to have to write an EEM applet for this, but if that's the only way, I'd consider it.

I have a 2960S connected to an RSP 2300. The 2960S is currently running off of the RPS, and I would like to switch it back to the internal power supply. Can I just run "power supply 1 on"? Will this cause the switch to reboot? Also I am concerned because when I do a show env power it shows: [code]
Is it normal for the internal power supply to show Unavail when running off RPS?

As part of troubleshooting a seperate issue, somebody on my 891 router had set logging trap debugging which shows as a line in sh run just above the access-lists. There is no syslog server however so I'd like to remove this entry, however when I do no logging trap debugging I end up with a no logging trap entry replacing the previous logging trap debugging entry. Is there away to be rid of this entry? I tried no no logging trap but of course that's an invalid command.

I have an issue with the syslog of 7600 router, I have configured the logging level to informational, but when I execute changes such as up or down an interface, the syslog messages aren't displayed? Why is the reason? This symptom exist after I changed the buffer size from default to 32768.

I was wondering if I can force catalyst 2960 to skip startup config stored in NVRAM and boot with no config everytime it is powered. I tried to find it on google and in cisco white papers but still no luck. I found only commands that begin with "set boot config-register ... ", but switch acts like it does not know these commands.

i've got a Cisco 877 router connected to an ADSL link. i'm using the show dsl interface atm just to have a look on its performance. i've tried to search on Cisco website on how to interpret the output but a blog gave me more info [URL]. Is there a way I can check the version of each device on two Cisco 6509 if they are Virtually connected (VSS)? When I enter the command show version, it only shows one result, unlike show module, you have an option to choose which switch by entering 1 or 2.

I did a sh inv on my newly built 2x Cat 3750X + Cat 3750-24FS stack running 12.2(58)SE2). It only showed 3 of the 4 Cat 3750X PSUs - Sw1 PSU 0, Sw2 PSU 0 and Sw2 PSU 1.

For an assignment in a class I am taking I created a simple network using GNS3 and set up static routing. Everything works fine, I can ping all of the hosts. One of the questions I am supposed to fill out is what happens when I use the "show ip route" and "show ip protocols" commands. When I use "show ip route" I get what seems to be the correct output. However when I use the "show ip protocols" command nothing happens. No output, no error, no nothing. It just goes right back to the prompt. This happens exactly the same on both routers in my network. incase it matters the router is c3640.
PS. would the output be non-existent because I have not set up any ip protocols. In a similar assignment I set up rip and when I used "show ip protocols" i did get what appeared to be the correct output. However I didn't write it down and when I put in the command again about an hour later after I took a break I also did not get an output until I re-entered the rip related commands.

I change only a chasis in a router 3845, but the "show version" command should be the same , except for the serial number and other parameter of time.. however, the number of serial interface change from 4 up to 2.The hardware module of 3845 are 3.
1.- VWIC E1/T1 with 2 port

I'm troubleshooting a 3750 switch stack problem where computers are showing input and CRC errors. I'd like to be able to execute a "show interface" command that will show me only the line showing the switch port and the line showing the input errors, but so far I can't figure out a way of combining those two parameters.
If I do "show interface | include Ethernet[0-9]�" I get all the lines showing the port numbers:
GigabitEthernet1/0/1 is up, line protocol is up (connected)
GigabitEthernet1/0/2 is up, line protocol is up (connected)
GigabitEthernet1/0/3 is up, line protocol is up (connected)

Configuring FWSM in a 6509. When I set "firewall vlan-group 40 40-42,251", it results in: "No more than one svi is allowed. Command rejected.".
I had "firewall multiple-vlan-interfaces" set for a previous use of this module, but took that off with the "no" command. Suspect that is the issue, but do not see how to resolve. Seems similar to bug CSCsr48563, but I am at the fixed code for that bug.

I'm trying to examine the ARP table on specific phy ports on a SG300 switch. The Cisco CLI guide shows this syntax:
show arp [ip-address ip-address] [mac-address mac-address] [interface-id]
Using the CLI and the "?" key to get assistance, I'm not successful:

configuration Display ARP related configuration
ip-address Filter ARP show by IP
mac-address Filter ARP show by MAC

how can I show the DHCP-range of a router if I don't have privilege level? (not in enable-mode),I can do a "show ip dhcp pool" - this will show me the range which is configured with the network-command.But there are also some dhcp-exclude-addresses which I can't see.... I am working with 3750 switch.I console the switch and turn it on and it doesn’t show text in hyper terminal with any BAUD (I tried all the speeds). The hyper terminal works with other switches so the problem is not with the hyper terminal.when I tried to break the password it stuck after I was writing "flash_init" and when I entered or typed text it show only garbage characters. I tried to break the password with all the speeds and it shows garbage output. I tried to turn on the switch and hold control + break and it showed the text only with the speed 115200, but after I left holding and tried to type it showed only garbage again. Also I tried to copy text from the notepad to the hyper terminal.

We have a number of 4507s. Most are managed via VLAN 1 address. All have multiple VLANS for traffic control. When I do a show ARP or show IP ARP the command only shows VLAN 1 info. No entries for any of the other VLANS on the switch.

I have an C4900M with twingig converter and SFP GLC-LX-SMD in. So the SFP supports DOM function. It is running on 12.2(53)SG2.
I would to the see the optical power level of the SFP, but it does not recognize 'show interface transceiver' command as showed in 4500 software guide.
