i've got up and running a webportal on my asa 5520 os 8.2.5 and but i can not make the ssh plugin ver ssh-plugin.111006 work, all of the others work well, no matter what web browser i use always fail, I even upgraded to the version ssh-plugin.120911 but with no luck, is there a debug or something that i could use to make it work properly?

We are having an issue with the the ASA RDP2 plugin, it has been working correctly since the installation of the ASA 2 years ago.1 month ago the functionality stopped working in IE activeX. I performed an upgrade of the ASA software in an attempt to fix, unfortunately this has not resolved the issue. Reimporting the plugin has not solved our issue either.
When using the Java client, there is a warning that -"The terminal server disconnected before licence negotiation completed. Possible cause: terminal server could not issue a licence"When a user clicks on a bookmark or types in a server name that is associated to the RDP2 plugin, the page timeouts and goes back to the home screen of the clientless SSL vpn.
I'd like to add an RDP to the vpn portal page on our 5585x. Looking for the rdp plugin in the 5585x download area but there is no page for Remote access plugins. Would the plugin be the same as any of the 5500 ASAs? Could I just download the rdp_09.11.2012.jar file from the 5505 download area?

I have just configured a ASA5505 running 8.2.2 as a webvpn server for clientless VPN connections.
I need to setup a particular bookmark for a RDP session which forces the use of the java client for those who can't seem to get the ActiveX control working for some reason or another (virus scanners/firewalls/scerutiy policies etc).
I created a bookmark as follows, but it always tries to connect with the ActiveX control first when logging on from an IE client.

I ve just finished setting up my first serial connections between two sites using Cisco 1800 routers. I can make connections from Site A to Site B using Windows XP clients, eg accessing exchange server 2007 running on Windows 2003x64, but the main problem is that when I try to configure Windows 7 clients to connect to exchange server on the other site, I can't make connections , no ping, no ssh , no http. What amuses me more is that I can connect to Windows 2008 servers using both Windows XP and 7.

W7. Internet connection is through BT Home Hub2 and is hardwired. No problem at all. But my wireless connected BT internet radio and my wife's Kindle can no longer connect to the internet. The radio says connecting to network but does nothing. I have changed nothing I am aware of. I have looked at the BT Home Hub Wireless set up page and the settings are Using WPA and WPA2 and the correct wireless encryption key is there. Channel selection is automatic. I have changed that to 3 other suggested channels, no result. Frankly it is all Greek to me and I do not know what I am looking at. how I reconnect the Kindle by wireless and the internet radio? (I know I can use a USB to connect the Kindle, but not the radio).

I have turned on the aaa command authorization without applying adequate privileges to the user. I can now log in through that user but the ASA 5510 displays an error :ASA 5510# show running-config
ERROR: % Invalid input detected at '^' marker.
ERROR: Command authorization failed.
I am unable to make any configuration changes on the firewall. Is there any default user through which I can log in and disable the aaa authorization ? if not, how can I resolve this situation ?

I have gone through the docs in creating a static NAT. I have gone into firewall/NAT Rules and set the internal / external entries, set access rules for the various services. However, I am unable to make a connection remotely. Somewhere along the line, I must be missing a command or something.

I am using Solawinds syslog and trying to get our Cisco routers send syslogs to our syslog server. I followed the procedure on Configuring Cisco Devices to Use a Syslog Server from [URL] Our Cisco swtches are all sending syslog messages but not the routers. I compared the config with our access switches but can't seem to find the problem:

I thought we had anyconnect working also, because some users can connect to a web page they can do some kind of connections to internal servers, (web, telnet, rdp, etc) so I installed cisco anyconnect VPN client in a laptop and try to connect (same IP and port I used for that web page) but after signing I get the message AnyConnect is not enabled on the VPN Server.So I tried to follow a configuration guide for Anyconnect, but there's a step in which I am trapped, these are the steps: Click Configuration, and then click Remote Access VPN.
View 7 Replies View Related i have a site to site vpn stablished, the vpn works fine (while is up), i have a cisco asa 5520 and the other end of the vpn is a jupiter device that for technical reasons needs to send a continuos ping and when it does not receive a reponse back it brings down the vpn tunnel and reestablish it again. while the vpn is up traffic flows perfectly but because i m unable to repond to the ping the vpn is brought down as reestablished by the jupiter device. the jupiter device pings the encryption domain which is an ip that is natted to the real ip in the inside network. this is my configuration of the vpn:
AAA.AAA.AAA.AAA is the ASA public ip in the outside
BBB.BBB.BBB.BBB is the jupiter device ip (part of the object group IP_LIST)
CCC.CCC.CCC.CCC is the nat ip on the ASA
10.21.0.164 is the real address in the inside(code)
I have an issue where my vpn clients are unable to access certain vlans in my network.I have configured an ASA 5520 with VPN access using the wizard and using the ASA as a dhcp server for VPN clients. I find that this allows the clients to access server resources such as the Exchange and Domain Controller but I find that these vpn clients are unable to ping each other as well as certain vlans that I have.Is there a way to configure the ASA to use a particular vlan that is already configured on the core switches?If I create a vlan interface and set the IP of it to 10.50.x.x then the vpn clients are suddenly unable to connect to any network resources...

Though there is an implicit deny all, we had to add a line to deny from any source to any destination.We had no problems in adding the additional deny all statements except for our NAT access-list. This NAT access list is used for our internet connection.Currently, the NAT ACL has 4 entries to permit from a specified source to destination any. This ACL is then called on our NAT statement.nat (inside) 1 access-list NAT,Also, note that NAT control is in place and we also have NAT zero statements for our VPN connections.So to fulfill our requirements, we just had to add another line to our ACL entries. But we encountered an issue with our NAT acl.

Users with the MAC OS X Anyconnect client can connect, they configure their Mac to use our proxy server, but the broswers will not work, clients can reach networks and resources behind the VPN gateway and have access to the Proxy(Tried a telnet to that hostname/port). I am running ASA 8.3(2), Anyconnect(OS X) 3.1.01065.

We have two sites, Site-A with a ASA 5520 (Remote Access IPSEC VPN server) at one end and a new ASA 5515-X at Site-B. Users at Site-B are unable to establish a VPN connection to Site-A via Cisco VPN client from behind the new ASA 5515-X. They see the following error:
"Secure VPN Connection terminated locally by the client.
Reason 412: The remote peer is no longer responding.
They are able to access the same from home or elsewhere so I believe there is nothing wrong with Site-A ASA vpn config which we have been using for a while now. The new 5515-X (version 8.6) has a very basic config with all outbound traffic allowed. I'm pasting the config below. Do I need to enable/allow anything for it to work?

Half way thru writing to the disk, it goes for a reboot. There is more than enought space on the disk0. I tried copying via a Compact Flash, but the ASA is not detecting the Compact Flash (which I thinks should be disk1). I am working on adding a mapping to our external address for our mail server - let's call it mail.example.com
I would like to be able to access mail.example.com internally for our user's smartphones - if they access our company WiFi they are not able to get mail using the mail.example.com as the server name in their phone setups. However, once they leave the office and use any other WiFi it works fine. Also, I am unable to ping that address from any internal device. I believe also this is the reason Exchange accounts do not work on our site to site VPN connections.
