I have gone through the docs in creating a static NAT. I have gone into firewall/NAT Rules and set the internal / external entries, set access rules for the various services. However, I am unable to make a connection remotely. Somewhere along the line, I must be missing a command or something.

W7. Internet connection is through BT Home Hub2 and is hardwired. No problem at all. But my wireless connected BT internet radio and my wife's Kindle can no longer connect to the internet. The radio says connecting to network but does nothing. I have changed nothing I am aware of. I have looked at the BT Home Hub Wireless set up page and the settings are Using WPA and WPA2 and the correct wireless encryption key is there. Channel selection is automatic. I have changed that to 3 other suggested channels, no result. Frankly it is all Greek to me and I do not know what I am looking at. how I reconnect the Kindle by wireless and the internet radio? (I know I can use a USB to connect the Kindle, but not the radio).

As well as set up a static external ip address. The modem I have is an Actiontec Q1000 which also acts like my router. There are other things connected to the modem.

I can access the cameras from my local LAN both when using the local 10. ..and external 99 .. Addresses. When I go off the local connection - Access does not work. Slingbox did its auto configuration and I can access it. I just cant get to camera devices (Panosonic, Foscam, etc.).

Basically when I try to access my ASA 5510 with the ASDM software the software never loads. So I have tried to access it through the management port https://192.168.1.2 and installed the software. The software starts up, I enter the password and it connects and loads to 100% but doesn't go beyond that point. I then try the java applet, and it as well loads up to 100% and says "Please wait, the main is coming up."
I have http server enabled, and asdm image is pointed correctly
As I said, I've tried this on two Windows XP machines and a machine running Server 2008.
I can connect through CLI all day and all night, but I'd rather (read feel much safer) configuring it through ASDM.

I have a client that is using a DIR-655 router. He uses Cisco VPN to access his work PC. At first, the only way we could get this to work was by skipping the router and plugging directly in to the modem. This is not ideal - so after receiving no response here to this question - I did the following - I put his PC (by IP) in a DMZ. This has done the trick - but will only work until the next time his IP address changes.

We need to get two diferent profiles: one for networking administrators, who are going to manage routing, acls and have the root for ASA, and the other profile is going to be for the vpn administrators. As I read from the ASDM 6.0 user guide is posible define command privilege level. So do you consider posible to define a particular level for all the command related with ipsec vpn (Create, Modify and Delete) and asociate that particular level with the user for vpn administration.

I used to have it connected to a modem and a router to get internet access.I recently got a new modem as the old one died and have now Wi-Fi in my home. My newer PC takes advantage of the Wi-Fi but my old PC does not.The new modem does not have a connection for the blue cable (Marked USB in back of modem) that was connecting the old PC to the internet.After reading online I think I need a USB wireless adapter but I am not sure on what I need exactly as my online searches return too much stuff (I went on Ebay).

The history about this box is that they had access through the ASDM untill they changed the management interfaces to Vlan 50.
The pix firewall is 192.168.50.10 and my interface to my PC is on Vlan 10 which is 192.168.10.115. I can ping 192.168.50.10 but I am unable to access this through ASDM. I believe the pix is denying me.
When I look in the config i see the ASDM image and I see that they have http server enabled.
I see my network 192.168.10.0 as inside but I don't see 192.168.50.0.
It seems like my internet connection constantly disconnects and I have to restart my computer to get it to work again. I don't think its the internet connection because I've lived in 4 different apartments and this has happened. I'm having to restart my computer at least 4 times a day.Another thing I wanted to add is that it especially happens when I do something that is 'internet intensive' such as youtube or when I am using skype or msn video call.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have two computers sharing files connected by a wired lan via an Ethernet card. Both are using XP home sp2 OS and neither of them had any Internet connection. I wanted to make one of them connect to a wireless printer so I added an Asus USB (wireless) dongle to that machine only.When first used the dongle sprang into life, connected to a wireless router in another part of the building (also mine, but nothing to do with this network) and downloaded a load of MS updates. Whilst an Internet connection was not really needed on that machine I thought 'all well and good', and proceeded to download MS Security Essentials onto that machine only. Once the printer software was installed on that computer it connected normally with the wireless printer and printed-out fine.It was only when I attempted to connect to the other computer via the hard-wired lan that I found that the connection between them was broken.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an ASA 5510 running ASDM 6.4(9) and Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance Software Version 8.4(4)1.I am trying to configure for the first time and I am accessing the ASA via its Management Interface.I am successfully able to connect to the device and get to the Cisco ASDM 6.4(9) page.When I try to run the startup wizard, a couple of prompts displays up to the point where the java applet runs and aks me to enter my IP, username and password.As it is a new system, password and username is blank so I enter and I get a message saying "loading software from cache" which later changes to "software Update completed" and then nothing happens.I am running MacOSX 10.7 Lion, Java version 1.6.0_33.I did try and run this on a Windows system and i was able to load the interface.

I updated my ASA with version asa844-1-k8.bin.
However, whenever I try and run the ASDM client, I get the following error:
"Your ASA image has a version number 8.4(4)1 which is not supported by ASDM 6.2(1)."
How do I get the latest version installed on my Mac desktop? I know that I can connect via the web interface and run the ASDM client, but the same error persists. I have the asdm-649-103.bin file, but cannot connect to the ASA to install (I don't recall ever setting up SSH).
Remote LAN pool is configured as inside. Route is proper. I am able to open 443 port from the remote LAN pool on the ASA. That means, the port is open from the remote pool. No response if I try https on the browser.

When i tried to login through ASDM at Cisco ASA 5510, it ask for the username and password and after that nothing comes up. I am able to login through ssh. [code]
As per my knowledge show bootvar and show version, should shows the same IOS version. But here it's showing different. Is asdm-523 is compatible with IOS asa708.
I have an RV082 and a RV042. I have been able to successfully establish a gateway to gateway vpn connection between them both, but both Routers unable to ping each other and I can't remotely administer each router through the VPN connection.
