Cisco WAN :: 1921 - Route Table Error

We have Cisco 1921 routers that a provider is using for MPLS. They have it configured so that all internet trafic is passed to an internal ip address that is our proxy server. However, they are pushing all of the routing rules down to the workstation which is causing the local route tables to grow to be massive in a very short time.
For example, the second I ping a website, the ip address is resolved and then the route is added for the source ip address with the default gateway of the proxy server.
Is this normal? I would have thought that all the rules would have been handled by the router and let it keep the table entries.

I have an MPLS router that connects to the core network.This router distributes (per route maps) routes from OSPF into BGP and from BGP into OSPF.The OSPF Process conencts a 6509 to the 7206 MPLS router. There are some routes in the OSPF process that I have filtered out of the 6509. They do not show up inthe 6509 at all and this is the only way they can be getting into the 7206.Checking the 6509 database, this route is gone, but it stays in the 7206 until I clear the route manually. The result is the route still gets distributed into MPLS. [code]
One thing to note, there are two possible OSPF paths the route gets into OSPF, one of them, the route is filtered with distribute-list on the 6509, which means it is still in the database, so it is still in the 7206 database, and still get distributed into BGP on the 7206, correct?

I have a Cisco 1921 and it has 2 VPN IP-sec site-to-site tunnels up and running. Lets say the tunnels goes from the Cisco to Site A and Site B.
Now i want Site A to reach Site B through the existing tunnels. I'm guessing that static routes maybe the answer but i cant seem to get it working.
The LAN networks is as follows:
Cisco: 192.168.15.0/24Site A: 192.168.0.0/24Site B: 10.27.27.0/24
At Site A i have set up a static route as follows:
Traffic destined for 10.27.27.0/24 Go to gateway 192.168.15.1 (the default gateway of Cisco LAN)
At Site B i have set up a static route as follows:
Traffic destined for 192.168.0.0/24 Go to gateway 192.168.15.1 (the default gateway of Cisco LAN)

We are using a CISCO1921-SEC (ISR) with IOS 15.1 and we configured a "crypto isakmp client configuration group". We can connect with the "Cisco System VPN Client Version 5.0.07.0410" via IPSec/UDP.
1. Is it possible to push routing informations to the System running the VPN Client ? A the moment all traffic is routed to the tunnel but we like only one route to the network permitted with "pool ..." in the "crypto isakmp client configuration group NAME" section.
2. We searched for changing from upd connection to tcp connection via special port. Is it possible with IOS 15.1 on the CISCO1921-SEC ? Is there something possible like "iskamp ipsec-over-tcp port 10000" ?

I've got an existing Cisco 1841 connecting to a 10Mbps Internet Leased line. With my current setup I've configured PAT for internet access for my users, and we also have some servers on site which are assigned public ip addresses, these can be accessed from the internet. Now we have procured a Cisco 1921 ISR to replace the old 1841, when I connect the 1921 with an identical configuration in place of the old router, 2 things happen.
1) The users accessing the net via the nat are able to work without any inconvenience (good)
2) My servers which have public IP addresses are unable to reach the internet and subsequently I am unable to reach them via the internet (very bad)

I have a question about filtering incoming bgp route updates from an internet provider. This provider sends the full internet routing table and default route and on an incoming prefix-filter on the customer switch (C6509-sup720) the default route is only accepted.What happens on the 6509 switch when the BGP peer flaps?Does it need to process all the internet routing updates, and if yes probably it cannot handle all these updates?What happens with the CEF table, will the switch install the routes first?

I know that WRTP54G is a voip device, but it is router as well and my problem is related to routing part.I cannot access public internet servers with IP in subnet 2.0.0.0 / 8 and 1.0.0.0 / 8. In the 2.0.0.0 / 8 subnet are some akamai cdn servers (yes, the fbcdn .After some time I've found, that routing table in wrtp54g contains also entries:
1.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 255.0.0.0 LAN&Wireless2.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 255.0.0.0 LAN&Wireless
which cannot be deleted. It looks like someone wanted to filter dark space when the router was developed.Is there any way, to get rid of it? I've restored to factory defaults, no change. Firmware version is 3.1.27.ETSI

Have a 1921 that has 3 eth connections (1 LAN, and 2 WAN) - I have 2 seperate OSPF processes (2 areas) on the WAN Ints - both upstream WAN's are sending defaults back to the 1921, and the 1921 is sending it's LAN range to them.
I have ip ospf cost 150 set on the "failover" WAN connection interface (Both on the 1921 and upstream), but the 1921 is preferring the default route from the "failover"?
The default routes are both being received by the 1921, but it's preferring the "failover" Int with the ip ospf cost 150 configured?

I purchased several 1921 routers and the last two I setup get the following error during bootup:

error returned: No usable interfaces

The router moves on and eventually comes up fine and is operational. What this error is an if I can get rid of it?

I am looking to simply monitor Port-Security , Error-Disable and HSRP. I would like to receive an email when any of these are triggered.
Port Security - Port Is shut down
Err-Disable - Port goes into err-disable state (securedown)
HSRP - When HSRP standyby changes are detected
I need to receive emails with any of the able are triggered. What is the easiest way to do this? I know SNMP is the main option but I have never worked with SNMP and dont understand it too much.

In datasheet of WS-SUP720-3B - link- was said that are only supported around 256K routes (fib?rib?).With this value I can't get 2 full bgp - that is around 850K ..
The supervisor is that control this or just memory ? I said this because I have a 7204-npe-g1 whith 2 fullrouting and 1G of and he are ok..

I am trying to remove a static route I added: [code]
I was practicing setting up static routing on three routers r2 (2600xm) connected to r1(2600xm) via T1 module cards on the serial ports. connected to r1 is an old 2500 router called PC.
I removed the static routes off r2 and PC but when I get to r2 which I am connecting to via console cable from another 2500 that I use for an access server I get the above error. all the IPs are just generic subnets I created to play around with static routing. I

I have problem with icmp traceroute configuration. When I enabling icmp error inspection in global policy, my traceroute results through ASA 8.2.4 looks like this: My traceroute [v0.75]
icmp inspection and ttl decrement on ASA is enabled. Also I configured ACL on outside interface to permit ICMP completely.

I've enabled antispoof on all interfaces on asa 5510.If you start a traceroute to a network on the default route, everything works, since replies comes to an interface with route 0.0.0.0/0 defined.If you start a tracer route to a network that is NOT on the default route (let's assume coporate MPLS), you only get response from first carrier router, the other are discarded because of anti spoof violation.
I have ICMP inspection and icmp-error inspection enabled.

The router 1841 is connected directly to the layer switch. the network diagram is below:
Office A --> Switch (L3) --> Router 1841 --> Internet --> Office B
However, when I transfer the file from Office A to office B, the speed very slow ( only around 40 kb/second), and there are an input error and CRC error:

We have a BGP / OSPF configuration as shown in the topology picture. When the connection towards Internet is taken down, we expect the traffic to be forwarded toward WAN 2 (preferred) or WAN 1. The problem is that the BGP learned routes disappears when the Internet connection is taken down. The IP routing table on R2 only shows internal networks and the networks between R2 and WAN 1 and 2. No routes to internet is shown. We run "show ip bgp neighbors <ip-to-wan-1-router> received-routes" it contain internet routes. And when we run "show ip bgp neighbors <ip-to-wan-1-router> routes" it contains no routes at all.

I've inherited a project building an internet connectivity solution for a large corporate. It has its own AS and its own PI space. They are putting in 100Mbit connections from 5 different Tier1's , taking full internet routing from each. Cisco ASR1002's have already been specified and purchased for the job. I'm not familiar with the ASR platform at all - is it up to the job with full routing tables? multiple instances of full tables ? (not likely to put all 5 into one box!)

i'm currently studying at a college which has a website with a student intranet that is available to log in from any computer. So far it has been working well and I can log in on my home laptop and upload documents and look at presentations etc. Today for no reason when I try and log in I get the message Error Code 500: Internal Server Error and the webpage does no appear.I have had no problems previously and this has only happened today and yesterday, I went down to the college and accessed the website fine from the computers in the library but still no joy from my home computer.

The problem is the memory available in common BGP-routers. A sup720-3BXL for example, a widly used sup-engine for handling BGP as far as I know, is getting to the limit of its memory size, depending on the number of upstream-providers connected to it.What are you doing, what are major ISPs doing, to circumvent this problem? setting up some server, working as route-reflector, and with a high level of summarizing routes, above supernetting? But at the cost of stability? Or buying new hardware, supporting bigger table? For example the RSP720-3CXL-10GE with up to 4GB memory? But how long will it last? Or a ASR-9001 with 8GB memory or even the ASR9k6 + RSP440 with 12GB mem?
