Aug 16, 2011If customer buys without cube license, I assume I have to purchase and actually apply the license. Is that correct?

Cisco VPN :: 2911 / Cannot Install VPN License
Nov 20, 2011I purchased a 2911 router and a 25-pack of VPN licenses (PID: L-FL-SSLVPN25-K9=).I registered the license, and supplied the serial number of my router when asked.I received a .lic license file.When I attempt to install the license on the appliance, I receive an error:

0/1 licenses were successfully installed
0/1 licenses were existing licenses
1/1 licenses were failed to install
However, the following establishes that the serial number is correct:

Sep 25, 2012We are designing a solution for our customer, they plan to connect 5 site to their main office, on the main office, they use CISCO2911, branch use CISCO1921, so my question is:
1, If I want to use IPSec VPN connect branch and main office, apart from the router, I only need to buy the Security pack, like SL-19-SEC-K9/SL-29-SEC-K9, no need to buy SL-19-DATA-K9/SL-29-DATA-K9, am I right?
2, If I want to use SSL VPN connect branch and main office, apart from the router and SL-19-SEC-K9/SL-29-SEC-K9, I only need to buy L-FL-SSLVPN10-K9 for CISCO2911 in main office, no need to buy L-FL-SSLVPN10-K9 for branch as each CISCO1921 has two default SSL license?

I noticed there is multiple models for the Cisco 881 such as the SEC/3G & SRST. Any way to change the Universal image from Data to Voice to support CUBE if possible. Just want to try and eliminate purchasing new Cisco 881 with Universal image for Voice.

However, I am experiencing that it slows down every few minutes or so, for 30 second intervals, then the internet catches on again and everything is good.

Jan 5, 2012I have a customer that purchased an LMS 3.0 package and later upgraded it to LMS 3.2 using same license for 300 devices.Now the customer wants to upgrade to LMS 4.1 and is asking if they can get a similar free upgrade as before, especially since their current LMS is covered under an SP Base contract.
Do you know if the SP Base contract will qualify them for this? I have tried discussing it with a TAC licensing Engineer and the Local Accounts team both have not given me a solid answer.

Feb 16, 2012Do I need to obtain license keys/files when upgrading a 2851 to IOS 15.x? I'm getting a bit confused seeing the documentation that says 1) IOS has gone to a universal image and 2) that feature sets are unlocked based on the installed license.
I was able to download a feature specific IOS image for the 2851 and it did not bother me about licensing upon boot up.
I read one post on here that stated 2800/3800 series (G1) do not have to worry about the licensing piece and that it's just 2900/3900 series (G2) hardware that require it.

I understand that the standard license for the ASA 5505 is for 10 clients.Does the site-to-site connection consume one of these licenses?Does each endpoint communicating over the site-to-site VPN consume one license also?For example, if I have the site-to-site VPN and 10 servers on each side, would that mean that I need 21 licenses; 1 for the VPN and 20 for each server on each side?

We plan to upgarde the second pair so that they are running the same image as the first pair (we know they are not the latest, but this is the first step in a larger rollout plan, and to aid some troublshooting for a major issue we are seeing.)
I have details of the upgrade steps, but my question is with regards to the licenses which are now enforced after (2.0). We currently have the following on the first pair, but are these part of the default licenses for (2.4) or would we need to purchase these as well?

Jun 30, 2011I have recently purchased ASR1002-RP1-ESP5 with 2 x 4K Broadband licenses to be used as LNS. Cisco have sent me PAK files for the licenses however when I try to enter the licenses into the device I get an error message saying that Licensing is not supported on this platform.
Any experience with this platform and installation of the broadband licenses?
When I spoke to Cisco TAC they told me that for this particular model the licensing is on "trust" basis where you buy license and do not install it on the actual router - similar to what 7200 used to do.

Feb 21, 2013 I am just getting more confused the more I try to work it out. Not sure if this goes in the IP Telephony section or here. We have an ASA 5510 with the base license. We are needing to install IP Phones at remote workers homes, and I understand there are Cisco IP phones which have VPN clients built in to allow a tunnel to the central private network. IT appears that you can only use Any connect VPN for this, ans I am trying to work out what licensing upgrade we need to apply to the ASA, as the two Any connect licenses you get free on the ASA is not enough.
This is the phone we are looking to get; {URL} . What I want to know is will the Any connect Essentials license work with these IP phones? When I do a show version,
