We have the ASA firewalls in our environment - two 5510's and one 5520.Our 5510's are currently used in our production environment and the 5520 is our firewall for pre-production and support personnel. My question is about the AnyConnect VPN licenses we have. Currently we have 100 seats for AnyConnect on our production ASA's, but we'd like to see if we can move half of these to the 5520 ASA?
I am pretty new to cisco and the learning community forums is truely one of a kind.Actually, I work on a company which deals the Cisco products, Routers/Firewalls/Switches and stuffs. I am sure you get the picture. What confuses me is the product licensing of ASA5500. To be more specific, we are proposing certain things. And that came with the product pricing sets and all. But I amn't having a clear picture on ASA 5500 Strong Encryption License (3DES/AES). Does that come inbuilt(free) or should there be any pricing behind that!?
Can the 3900 series router be ordered or upgraded to a license with advances enterprise services? I have a few of these routers and I'm looking to get the license upgraded if possible.
are there any AP models which support 5500 series and dont support 4400 series. Actually we are looking to get some new AP with higher bandwidth and External Antenna How to differentiate between AP models with clean air feature supported and not
Our requirement with that appliance is to do URL blocking and filtering. Are there any other options we can consider or is it SaaS only. Would have preferred Trend Micro, but don't this is possible with this appliance. Will content security be offered on the Cisco ASA 5500-X Series? At this time, content security services are not supported on the Cisco ASA 5500-X Series appliances. However, the ASA 5500-X Series Cisco Cloud Web Security ready. Cisco Cloud Web Security provides content security as a cloud-based software as a service (SaaS).
I have this version Ap "c1200-rcvk9w8-tar.124-21a.JA2" and a WLC 5500. When i connect the ap to the network i can ping from ap to wlc and the wlc to ap, but the proccess of lwapp messages give errors on the Ap when the Ap try to download the image from wlc and could not join the wlc. why this could be? this is the info of the wireless lan controller.
I bought a 5500 series ASA and SecPlus license for example. Suddenly my ASA hardware got broken and changed for a new one. What about my old license? How i could activate this license on new ASA?
I understand that Cisco have at long last provided a facility to separate HTTP web authentication from HTTPS WLC management on WLC code 7.2.x for the new 5500 series WLCs.
My question is does Cisco intend to provide the same much needed functionality on the 4400 series WLCs that are running 7.0.x code? I was looking through the release notes for v7.0.235.3 code and that did not seem to mention this functionality. I know we can get around the problem by purchasing an SSL certificate so that guest users with web authentication do not have to see the same security warning each time they log in but the idea to separate the HTTP web authentication from HTTPS WLC management seems so much simpler.
I tried looking in ASA documentations but unable to find out that how many IPSec Tunnels can be terminated to an ASA cluster. I have 5545 running only two IPSec Tunnels so far but need to terminate 18 sites all up and would like to confirm how many tunnels we could terminate? Is there a limitaion to it?
The Release Notes for 7.0.116.0 of WLC 5500 has a table which title is "Client Type", and it shows wireless adapters. My question is, what kind of customer means? Wireless clients or clients for an specific application? If it was the first option, does it mean tha just this adapters could connect to my wireless network?
We are working with a contractor to upgrade our network, and I heard from them that the 5596/5548 might not need the Layer 3 module for our inter-VLAN routhing. They have yet to give me an answer.
We do have a few static routes on our current layer-3, core switch too.
why I can't use cisco ehwic-3g-hspa-u card in cisco 2800 series and 1841 series router?documentation said that it should work with that devices but when I installed it, it doesn't work even as device i can't see I am using cisco latest ios advance ent. 15.1(4)M4?
What's the main technical differences among the 1140 AP series and the 1260 AP series?I know that the 1260 supports external antennas while the 1140 supports internal antennas, but apart from that, is there any other important difference ?
My Draytek 2710 just dies after 2 years so I was looking for something a little more reliable and noticed the spec of the SRP527W-U.I take it with only one antenna and reading a couple of past discussions, the wireless will only manage n-lite as some people call it i.e. 150Mbps, and not the full 300? Oh, and are the ports still only 100M and not Gig?I know the 547 would tick both these boxes but we are talking twice the price. How does the quality and logevity of the SRP500 series compare to the RV series (which would need an adsl modem) or the Linksys boxes?
My current ASA 5525-X is licensed with Anyconnect premium = 2 and 750 "Other VPN" What does other mean? Also does this mean that only two clients with Anyconnect can use the ASA for VPN? Or is Premium different than Anyconnect alone?
I have a customer that purchased an LMS 3.0 package and later upgraded it to LMS 3.2 using same license for 300 devices. Now the customer wants to upgrade to LMS 4.1 and is asking if they can get a similar free upgrade as before, especially since their current LMS is covered under an SP Base contract.
Do you know if the SP Base contract will qualify them for this? I have tried discussing it with a TAC licensing Engineer and the Local Accounts team both have not given me a solid answer.
I currently have an ASA 5510, and a ASA 5505 both configured with VPN and TLS licensing.I would like to migrate to a pair of ASA 5525-X, would it be possible to transfer the licensing or would I need to re-purchase?
I bought a Cisco ASA 5510 (P/N: ASA5510-BUN-K9) and i would like to know if i have to buy some license,What i mean is, for the basics, it still being necessary aquire some license?
we have a customer with 2 x ASA5510-SEC-BUN-K9 running in an active/active HA mode. On the primary ASA he has 25 SSL premium licenses, but on the secondary ASA he has only 10 SSL licenses. Is there a need that both ASA´s has the same kind of licenses?
Do I need to obtain license keys/files when upgrading a 2851 to IOS 15.x? I'm getting a bit confused seeing the documentation that says 1) IOS has gone to a universal image and 2) that feature sets are unlocked based on the installed license.
I was able to download a feature specific IOS image for the 2851 and it did not bother me about licensing upon boot up.
I read one post on here that stated 2800/3800 series (G1) do not have to worry about the licensing piece and that it's just 2900/3900 series (G2) hardware that require it.
I am in need of some information regarding licesnes on the ASA 5505.I have a client who is connecting their main office to a DR site via a site-to-site VPN. I understand that the standard license for the ASA 5505 is for 10 clients.Does the site-to-site connection consume one of these licenses?Does each endpoint communicating over the site-to-site VPN consume one license also? For example, if I have the site-to-site VPN and 10 servers on each side, would that mean that I need 21 licenses; 1 for the VPN and 20 for each server on each side?
If I now buy a software support contract for the above will that also entitle me to a free upgrade to LMS 4.1-750 or will I still need to buy a upgrade license.
We have two pairs of ACE 4710s, one pair running A3(2.4) and the other pair A3(2.0). We plan to upgarde the second pair so that they are running the same image as the first pair (we know they are not the latest, but this is the first step in a larger rollout plan, and to aid some troublshooting for a major issue we are seeing.)
I have details of the upgrade steps, but my question is with regards to the licenses which are now enforced after (2.0). We currently have the following on the first pair, but are these part of the default licenses for (2.4) or would we need to purchase these as well?
I have recently purchased ASR1002-RP1-ESP5 with 2 x 4K Broadband licenses to be used as LNS. Cisco have sent me PAK files for the licenses however when I try to enter the licenses into the device I get an error message saying that Licensing is not supported on this platform.
Any experience with this platform and installation of the broadband licenses?
When I spoke to Cisco TAC they told me that for this particular model the licensing is on "trust" basis where you buy license and do not install it on the actual router - similar to what 7200 used to do.
01. I have one customer unit C1121 ACS system shipped with version 5.1. The customer buy the base license and large deployment license along with the purchase.
02. Fact is i have manually upgrade the system to version 5.3.0.40, and applying a trial license for it for administering the appliance.
a. If i now using the purchased base license and large deployment PAK to activate the system, would it still valid for me to continue using Version 5.3.0.40?
I have a customer who has purchased a Cisco 5510 and after we received it and all the necessary VPN, 3DES etc. licensing for it, then informed us that they order 2 T1 lines so they can have Internet failover.
My question is: Does this require an additional specialized license from Cisco in order to enable and configure it? And if so, what that part number is?
