Cisco :: Can Two Different Models Of 1400 Series Bridge Communicate

Sep 24, 2012

We have acquired few AIR-BR1410A-A-K9 AP's that are for US only. I am in Pakistan. For our market, Cisco proposed AIR-BR1410A-E-K9. This is fine as it is listed on their website as well. However, since we also have the "A" model and now the "E" model, can we place an A model on one end and an E model on the other and make them communicate with each other?

Cisco VPN :: Licensing On ASA 5500 Series?

Cisco :: 5500 Series - How To Disable HTTPS WebAuth On 7.0.x Code

Oct 1, 2012

I understand that Cisco have at long last provided a facility to separate HTTP web authentication from HTTPS WLC management on WLC code 7.2.x for the new 5500 series WLCs.

My question is does Cisco intend to provide the same much needed functionality on the 4400 series WLCs that are running 7.0.x code? I was looking through the release notes for v7.0.235.3 code and that did not seem to mention this functionality. I know we can get around the problem by purchasing an SSL certificate so that guest users with web authentication do not have to see the same security warning each time they log in but the idea to separate the HTTP web authentication from HTTPS WLC management seems so much simpler.

Cisco :: Why No Support For 3560 Compact Series In CNA

Is there reason why WS-C3560C-8PC-S and WS-C3560C-12PC-S is not supported in Cisco Network Assistent? According to the data sheets for these switches CNA should be supported. I saw another forum post stating that the Gigabit versions has been added to the supported list as of version 5.7."The Cisco Catalyst 3560-C and 2960-C Series compact switches offer both the traditional Cisco CLI for detailed configuration and Cisco Network Assistant software, a PC-based tool for quick configuration based on preset templates."

Cisco WAN :: 2921 ISR G2 Series BGP IPv6 Support Required

May 24, 2011

I was slightly dissapointed with the performance of the "pre-sales" phone number of Cisco in the Netherlands so I am asking it here instead. We decided on using 2 Cisco 2921 routers with 2.5GB ram to use for a MultiHomed connection using BGP. We already have our v4 and v6 space assigned as well as our AS number. The connections should turn up soon. What I could not find out with proper certainty on the Cisco Feature Navigator is if the IP BASE on the Cisco 2921 supports both IPv4 and IPv6 routing combined with BGP. This model uses the Universal IOS licensing which I found slightly confusing. I could not find a simple matrix with the supported commands either.

Cisco Wireless :: Are There Multiple Models Of AP541N

Nov 6, 2011

We are considering order the AP541N for our network. A few questions...

1). Are there multiple models of the AP541N? or just one cisco part number?

2). I am assuming the basic antenna comes with it. If this is something that I need to buy seperate.

3). Are there part numbers for the POE injector? Need to know part numbers on the AP541N and the poe injectors?

4). We would buy a couple of these and run them in cluster mode. My understanding is that I won't need a controller. Do I need to buy a certain model to use the clustering or is that available on all the AP541N?

5). Can I have this talk to active directory to authenticate users? Is that tough to do? Do I need install some kind of agent on a domain controller? I have configured the ASA to use Active Directory for authentications. Should it be any more difficult that that?

I have setup a few other Cisco APs before and am generally familair with wireless. But, I am not a "wireless expert" and don't have any experience with this particular product.

Cisco Wireless :: AIR-CB21AG-W-K9 / Can't Add Data Points Under RF Calibration Models

Jun 1, 2011

I am able to view clients, rogue APs, rogue clients etc, but the information is faily inaccurate. Thus, I am trying to calibrate using the RF calibration models. I have created a new model and am attempting to add data points. After adding the client MAC, selecting the floor plan and clicking next, the floor plan loads and a message pops up stating: "Could not enable S60 across all relevant controllers on this floor". I click OK, and select "point" as the calibration method. When I place the calibration point on the map and click GO I am presented with the following message: "Failed to initiate data collection. Please make sure your client is connected on the wireless network and then try again." Both of these messages can be seen in the attached screenshots.

I have confirmed that the client is associated to an AP located on the map.I have confirmed connectivity of the client.I have used both the Cisco AIR-CB21AG-W-K9 (CCX V5) and the integrated intel wireless card (CCX V4).I am running WCS 7.0.172.0, MSE 7.0.201.204, and WLC 7.0.116.0.

Cisco Firewall :: Support Of Jumbo Frames On ASA 5500 Firewall Appliance?

Feb 28, 2010

Can any ASA 5500 in particular the ASA5510 firewall support jumbo frames (i.e. greater than the default standard 1500 Bytes frames)?. I plan to use the ASAs to setup a point-to-point IPSec tunnel and need an Application frame of 4Kbytes intact and not segment it.I have done little checking on the Cisco Website and see it mention of Jumbo frames on the 5580 on 10Gig interface but didn't see mention 5510. 5580s are way over-kill and expensive for what I need is to run a mission critical one IPSec point-to-point with maximum of no more than 100Kbps so 5510 is perfect for me but not sure if it can carry the jumbo frame?

On the routers and switches it's the MTU settings and they are configurable per interface and I am OK and the circuit is T1 which the Telcos said it's OK since it's physical layer so the only unkown is the firewall.
