I have been looking around cisco website but couldn't find a document with the supported platforms.
We have branch offices with Cisco 861 routers and i would like to know if we could use GETVPN with these routers.
We are upgrading our incoming Internet service from 30 Mb 10/100 to 100Mb 10/1,000.Will my 2600 series router support the 10Mb 10/1,000 traffic from my new modem?Do I need to change my interface speed from 100 to 1,000? I to be sure my router will support the upgrade. [code]
View 8 Replies View RelatedI've done some tests and it seems that a 7201 supports GETVPN without a VAM, but in the design guide it states that this is needed. Is this needed as the 7201 documentation states that it performs IPSEC encryption in hardware without a VAM.

I know it must be there somewhere and I'm just not looking in the right place. But I've read and read and read about DMVPN designs and I'm not finding anything. This is turning into a time killer. View 6 Replies View RelatedI am setting up a DMVPN between several dozen sites using 2800, 2900 and 3900 series ISRs. The DMVPN Design Guide recommends current 12.4 or 12.4T IOS, but the DG was last updated in July 2008. I cannot seem to find any recommendations newer than this. I'm hoping Cisco or the community can give me an updated recommendation.

I am trying to spec out some routers for a small DMVPN network.I was thinking 2801's for my hub routers.will these run DMVPN out of the box or do they need additional hardware modules?according to the below linkyou need a "AIM-VPN/SSL-2" module in order for it to work, but then according to"The Cisco 2800 Series supports IPSec Digital Encryption Standard (DES), Triple DES (3DES), Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) 128, AES 192, and AES 256 cryptology without consuming an AIM slot."

For ASR1000 to support 4M routes, RP2 must be used.
1) RP2 need to have 16GB memory in order to support 4M routes?
2) Need to use ESP20/40 together with RP2?
3) If RP2 + ESP10, supporting route table size down to 1M?
4) 4M routes is shared for both IPv4 an IPv6?
5) SIP card will affect route table size?
I've been looking into posibilities for extending a DMVPN (already implemented) with very small (1-2 user) remote locations over a single ISP link.I would like to use what is basically the smallest Cisco router that supports DMVPN and EIGRP (stub) - here's a sample configuration:I know that the 881 can accomplish the above without issues (if it has Adv IP Services as licensing).I would like to know if I can use the smaller routers (physically smaller, that is) for a similar configuration. Can the Cisco 819 router.URL provide the same functionality? What about the Cisco 866VAE router URl.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI was slightly dissapointed with the performance of the "pre-sales" phone number of Cisco in the Netherlands so I am asking it here instead. We decided on using 2 Cisco 2921 routers with 2.5GB ram to use for a MultiHomed connection using BGP. We already have our v4 and v6 space assigned as well as our AS number. The connections should turn up soon. What I could not find out with proper certainty on the Cisco Feature Navigator is if the IP BASE on the Cisco 2921 supports both IPv4 and IPv6 routing combined with BGP. This model uses the Universal IOS licensing which I found slightly confusing. I could not find a simple matrix with the supported commands either.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhere's the ideal place to put the KS? My current setup is 1 KS, 19 GM. The KS sits BEHIND a GM, so all other GMs have to come through one GM to get to KS.Now, I have purchased two dedicated KS routers. I configured one today, and placed it right on my WAN. My WAN is a L2 Ethernet domain, so i just provisioned a switch port in the WAN vlan, and away we go. I copied RSA keys over from the current KS, configured redundancy and the two hooked up, saw each other and it seems to be good to go. For the ACL, I put in an exclustion for my two KS to talk to each other:
deny ip host 192.168.250.40 host 192.168.250.41 (Old IP, New IP)
deny ip host 192.168.250.41 host 192.168.250.40.
I used a test router and pointed it to the new KS, it registered without a hitch... HOWEVER about two hours later (my 7200 second timeout) I lost ALL my branches. My 18 other GM were still pointed to the OLD IP only, they didnt have the second IP configured yet. In a hurry, I quickly disabled the redundancy configuration on the old KS and had to go to each GM and do a 'clear crypto gdoi' on each one to get them to re-register. There were no log messages about not being able to rekey, no log messages about dropped peerings, nothing. Once I did that, everything returned to normal.
The Question I have...
Would having configured the redundant KS caused this problem? Would having one KS behind a GM and the other Coop KS in the WAN make a difference?
Relevant config from existing KS, 2801:
crypto gdoi group GETVPN_GROUP
identity number 1234
server local
rekey retransmit 60 number 2
rekey authentication mypubkey rsa GETVPN_KEYS
