View 2 RepliesI have a strange problem with one switch in my LMS 3.2.1 installation. It is a WS-C3560-48TS with IOS 12.2(50)SE3 running. I have nine switches with the same type and IOS running without problems.
I notice the problem because there were no UT data for that switch. In RME and CS it was managed.Checking SNMP and config of the switch, but can't find any issues.Because at this time LMS ran in version 3.2 I installed at first CM 5.2.1 and after that the patches for CSCtd49439 and CSCtg20882.Next step was RME 4.3.1 with a lot of patches for different issues. Then I installed the patch for the internal error of CS (CSCtd07131).And finally I installed LMS 3.2.1 and patch for CSCto46927.Last step was installing the latest device packages. I did this directly from the application because it is much better handling than do a manual download. No the system seems to be fully updated.
I had the hope that CM will now find and manage this one switch. But it is still not available.I can't find the device in the data collection. But I can find it in the "Include Devices From DCR", although I configured to fetch all devices from DCR automatically to CM. To manually include the device is not working, too.
P.S. I used that step-by-step update path because it worked on two other servers very well for me.
I am having Cisco LMS 3.2.I want to give an access to some desktop administrators so that they can pull the report of User Tracking in campus manager. Is there any way so that I can restric users to campus manager only?

"UTLite33.exe is not a valid Win32 application".
I have the following drawback was held on autodicovery on a CiscoWorks LMS 4.0 which captured all the IP's of the devices on the network between these found a LAN segment that connects to all devices, when creating this view for the Campus Manager appears a LAN segment and We don´t want to appear there on the views, can you edit the view and delete this segment of the map. or if it is necessary to rediscover again.
View 2 Replies View Relatedthis is a device discovery issue with LMS 3.2. The devices added up in Common Services are not getting reflected under Campus Manager and Device Fault Manager. The devices are manually added and are stack switches (2960S-24TS-L).
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have enabled auto mode and manually included but when I run a data collection some devices don't take part in the process. When I click in show included devices I can see 19 devices in Not Managed state.
View 5 Replies View RelatedWe are using Campus Manager 5.2 with LMS 3.2. We have 100 devices and all 100 devices has been successfully discovered in Common services in all 100 devices are showing in DCR.When we check in RME we have found all 100 devices over there.
But, in Campus Manager we got only 95 devices. out of 88 WS-C2960G-24TC-L 5 switches are not showing in Campus manager. we have added the same manully ( manually included & Ecluded all 5 devices in Campus manager) and start the data collection, but no result.
After data collection it is showing not managed by Campus Manager when we check ( Show all Included devices option).
I have a new Cisco 2960 S series switch with a basic configuration that needs to be uplinked or daisy chained to a Cisco 3750 switch. I am not getting any connectivity to the network with either a straight through or crossover cable. the port remains in amber but a 'show interface' indicates that the interface is up. I can manage the switch with a PC patched into any port on the switch with a static IP address. Must be something very simple that I am missing. Outlined below is the configuration.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there reason why WS-C3560C-8PC-S and WS-C3560C-12PC-S is not supported in Cisco Network Assistent? According to the data sheets for these switches CNA should be supported. I saw another forum post stating that the Gigabit versions has been added to the supported list as of version 5.7."The Cisco Catalyst 3560-C and 2960-C Series compact switches offer both the traditional Cisco CLI for detailed configuration and Cisco Network Assistant software, a PC-based tool for quick configuration based on preset templates."

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have 6 cisco switches already on my network and I just got a 2960S PoE switch that I need to enable for VoIP. The voice vendor is coming in to setup our phone system for VoIP and I need to enable this new 2960S 48 port switch for the VoIP phones, I don't know how to do that, or other taskes needed for this project.
I was told that I need to uplink the new 2960S with the Catalysy 4507R using an ethernet cable and to "trunk the ports" and enable the 2960S as a VTP client - ok great - how?
I was told I also need to use the switch port voice VLAN command for the new VLAN - again, great - but how?
I actually was able to telnet into the switch and I gave it an IP and I created a new vlan but thats all. We are using non Cisco IP phones.
I have a cisco catalyst 2960-s PoE switch. I have a web access to the switch and am able to get statistics on each port. However, I am wondering if there is a way to have a diagram of the trafic on each port?
Also, what is the best way to monitor the trafic on a router ( i have a cisci 1811W)
I am testing a ACS 5.2 in our lab environment, I am testing port security for policy based VLAN and ACL assignment. The problem I am having is with the 2960S switches; in my current setup it is working but it doesn't seem to me like it is the way that it should be working. I have a downloadable ACL in the ACS defined and associated to an Access policy and it is working correctly. The problem is, from what I understand, I have to assign a default ACL on the switchport? So what I have assigned on the switchport is ip access-group 10 in. The downloadable ACL from the ACS is also called 10. Do I really need to match the ACL on the switchport with the ACL name I have created in ACS? That doesn't seem like it's dynamic if that is the case? What is the ACL that I should apply to the switch port (if any) in order for the downloadable acls that I configure in the ACS to work no matter what port the user is patched into?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a running setup having 2 Cisco 2960s 24 TS switch with Stack configuration. Now I want to add one more same Cisco switch. My questions are:-
1) How can I do this...(Should follow the same process as I did before.
2) Could I do this without impacting the service. i.e. without rebooting the switch.
3) What should be the connection archiecture as of now since there is two switch so it is connected 1 -1 and 2-2. but for 3 switch should we require to change the connectivity.
I use the Switch 2960S support PoE and 10 access points cisco.I have one more question:
-- If all 10 access points cisco use copper cable to connect to 2960S, 5 access points use power adapter and 5 access points use power from Switch. How Switch 2960S will provide power for 10 AP or switch 2960S will understand and only provide power for 5 APs?
I've recently been looking into linking in our Cisco 2960S Gb Switch with RSA SecureID via Radius.I've already managed to link it in for ssh access
but I've not managed to get it working for http / web access to the switchI think this is because we're using "single use" tokens for maximum security with RSA Secure-ID and the web interface attempts to authenticate multiple times against the Radius part of the RSA SecureID server (okay on the first authentication, but each time after it's going to want a different token code)
(if there's a way to get the switch to just authenticate once instead of multiple times against the radius server) For info the switch is a WS-C2960S-24TS-L with IOS 15.0(1)SE2
are there any AP models which support 5500 series and dont support 4400 series. Actually we are looking to get some new AP with higher bandwidth and External Antenna How to differentiate between AP models with clean air feature supported and not
View 5 Replies View RelatedI was slightly dissapointed with the performance of the "pre-sales" phone number of Cisco in the Netherlands so I am asking it here instead. We decided on using 2 Cisco 2921 routers with 2.5GB ram to use for a MultiHomed connection using BGP. We already have our v4 and v6 space assigned as well as our AS number. The connections should turn up soon. What I could not find out with proper certainty on the Cisco Feature Navigator is if the IP BASE on the Cisco 2921 supports both IPv4 and IPv6 routing combined with BGP. This model uses the Universal IOS licensing which I found slightly confusing. I could not find a simple matrix with the supported commands either.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI was just curious about something with upgrading a 2960s stack.
To copy the image to the switches in the stack I use: Switch# archive download-sw tftp://x.x.x.x/filename
Does this also set the image as the boot image or do I still need to issue the boot system flash command?
can I just issue this command on the master switch and reload and the new config will be pushed to the rest of the switches?
After i have already configured my cisco switch 2960 , i configured my console as the below [code] after i reboot my switch , i found that the switch asked me for username . However i did not configure username , how can i solve this problem , without password reset . I have already configured 15 switch , 100% this problem will be in all switches.

Do you know if the new 2500 series controller supports things like mobility groups? Could I use 2 of these and do inter-controller roaming. Also do you know if this would work with a 2106 controller and a 2505 controller or are they 2 completely independent controllers only knowing about their own APs??
