I am having Cisco LMS 3.2.I want to give an access to some desktop administrators so that they can pull the report of User Tracking in campus manager. Is there any way so that I can restric users to campus manager only?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have the following drawback was held on autodicovery on a CiscoWorks LMS 4.0 which captured all the IP's of the devices on the network between these found a LAN segment that connects to all devices, when creating this view for the Campus Manager appears a LAN segment and We don´t want to appear there on the views, can you edit the view and delete this segment of the map. or if it is necessary to rediscover again.
View 2 Replies View Relatedthis is a device discovery issue with LMS 3.2. The devices added up in Common Services are not getting reflected under Campus Manager and Device Fault Manager. The devices are manually added and are stack switches (2960S-24TS-L).
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have enabled auto mode and manually included but when I run a data collection some devices don't take part in the process. When I click in show included devices I can see 19 devices in Not Managed state.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a strange problem with one switch in my LMS 3.2.1 installation. It is a WS-C3560-48TS with IOS 12.2(50)SE3 running. I have nine switches with the same type and IOS running without problems.
I notice the problem because there were no UT data for that switch. In RME and CS it was managed.Checking SNMP and config of the switch, but can't find any issues.Because at this time LMS ran in version 3.2 I installed at first CM 5.2.1 and after that the patches for CSCtd49439 and CSCtg20882.Next step was RME 4.3.1 with a lot of patches for different issues. Then I installed the patch for the internal error of CS (CSCtd07131).And finally I installed LMS 3.2.1 and patch for CSCto46927.Last step was installing the latest device packages. I did this directly from the application because it is much better handling than do a manual download. No the system seems to be fully updated.
I had the hope that CM will now find and manage this one switch. But it is still not available.I can't find the device in the data collection. But I can find it in the "Include Devices From DCR", although I configured to fetch all devices from DCR automatically to CM. To manually include the device is not working, too.
P.S. I used that step-by-step update path because it worked on two other servers very well for me.
We are using Campus Manager 5.2 with LMS 3.2. We have 100 devices and all 100 devices has been successfully discovered in Common services in all 100 devices are showing in DCR.When we check in RME we have found all 100 devices over there.
But, in Campus Manager we got only 95 devices. out of 88 WS-C2960G-24TC-L 5 switches are not showing in Campus manager. we have added the same manully ( manually included & Ecluded all 5 devices in Campus manager) and start the data collection, but no result.
After data collection it is showing not managed by Campus Manager when we check ( Show all Included devices option).
After migrating a virtual machine that hosts the CiscoworksLms 4.0, Daemon Manager service does not start.Following is the error:ERROR! The license file is invalid. Please click this link for information about Obtaining a valid license or purchase click here for current licensing information Otherwise, please contact your Cisco representative for purchasing information.I have already entered in the User casuse group of administrators and reset the password but no use Daemon Manager service not up?
View 1 Replies View RelatedCustomer is running LMS 2.6.Scheduled backup was running perfect. But it is no more happening. When we checked we found that the "License Manager/ Deamon Manager is down" message pop ups.
We reset the casuser password, and then restarted the services. It becomes ok.But only the immediate backup is successful. Scheduled task fails for all those devices."License Manager/ Deamon Manager is down" happens quite often.
So instead of using 192.168.* how can I have computers on my router use my school's 152.65.*? It'd be nice for sharing things around the place. I'm just not sure a WRT54gs2 can do this as I'm not sure its software allows for such routing capabilities.
I sort of know how one would theoretically do this (I'm currently taking a networking class at school) but can I do this with a WRT-54gs2?
What ways can i connect the two building networks together(i.e best tools to use) supposing each building has a router. How will i make computer no. 10 accessible by all computers in the network.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI manage the network of a small (120 users) network spread out over 5 sites within a 10 mile radius (for normal ops- extended ops can expand to include other cities).I think I'd call that a Campus LAN, perhaps it's just a really small MAN (for normal ops)...I am starting my CCENT/CCNA track so this may be blazingly obvious to some of you- but I'm sure to learn something either way...Every now and again we have to go find "hostname "X"" for an update that won't roll out by way of our (Server Sr SysAdmin's) tools, so we actually have to put hands on it. Unfortunately the prior admins didn't document the inventory to such a level that we know "laptop_015" is in the building down by the college.
I DO have documentation on my equipment (I'm the Network Sr SysAdmin) that I have rolled together over the last 9 months being here...I have a Cisco 5520 ASA, and use ASDM to manage it. What would be extremely handy would be the ability to put a query in the system to report back what switch a given hostname is plugged intoBetter yet, if it could tell me switch and switchport.I imagine this would be simple if I had the MAC address- there's got to be a way to grep the switches for a given MAC- but not sure if it'll work in a similar fashion for ARP lookups.
I have a task to compare different approaches to implement InterVLAN routing in campus network. Google suggests only Cisco technologies for such query. But what I need is also other companies solutions (like Dell, HP etc), cost of the implementations, pros and cons.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm going to start the evaluation of implementing the virtualization of our campus LAN using MPLS.We'll get many inter-VLAN routing domains per VRF on the same LAN infrastructure. The LAN infrastructure is based on C6500 implementing VSS.Do you have experience with this kind of setup?Any known/faced issue that might prevent the setup of MPLS on VSS enabled C6500?

I have 5 Static Ip pool all IPs are working fine. I have deploy a IIS Server on Windows2008 and configure the Static IP on that server. earlier it was working fine . but since last month the IP is not pinging from Out Side but internal IP Pool its working. I have checked the SERver firewall and another Setting is Ok. if i changed the Ip from the server the new IP is also not pinging.

First time running it, everything is plugged in, and there ethernet would not pick up at all. Went to Device Manager and got: "This Device Cannot Start. Code 10"Tried different cables, I even swapped the network switches (clearly wasn't the problem). More information can be supplied if needed.
