View 1 Replies View Related[code] just came out with a new package called Roadrunner Broadband Extreme ($10 extra). The claimed speeds are 30GB down and 5GB up. I have a friend in another area of town who is getting these speeds consistently, although i will admit he lives in a much more "technologically advanced" area where there are several big technology businesses like IBM. I just had the service installed last week, and have even had the cable techs to the house, but i am not even close to getting what i paid for.On average a normal day i would test at between 14-17GB down and maybe 2.2 up (using Time Warner's speed test, on tests from places like Speakeasy the speeds show much lower). So the question after the long winded description is this. Is there any program i can use that may be able to safely tweak my system and get closer to the speeds i should be getting? I know i may never reach 30 down and 5 up, but if i could at least be in the 20's down and maybe 3.5-4 up.

I have not done much with business routers, but we have a 1700 series with a WAN WIC-1ENET card with a RJ45 connection. We had a T1 line and will be moving to ehternet. We are going to be moving to a 20MB line, and i just wanted to make sure I have the right connections before installing. We also have a T1 line in another loaton and would be moving to this same 2811 router there as well.We would also like to copy over the configuration from 1700 series router to the 2811 router. Would it be easier to do it by hyper-terminal? Also if we keep the 1700 routers are they capable of using layer-3?

I have an old Ipod Touch, First Generation that I never use.. I was wondering if it is possible to connect the Ipod Touch to my desktop computer via USB.. If when I finish work I put the computer in sleep mode and then if there is any way that I could access the IPOD via the wifi (which is always on in the building) and make the ipod send a signal to the computer to boot it back up..

View 4 Replies View RelatedWe are experiencing two of our layer 3 switches (3560 PoE and 3750 PoE) switches giving us problems with giving power to IP phones. These switches have an embedded PoE module and would previously give power to all IP phones on all its ports. Now all of a sudden over the past few months 6 of these ports have stopped powering phones. The phones are the same ie. 7911 and they take less than 15.4 W. We believe that the PoE module has started malfunctioning and has stopped giving power to all the ports. The port 'grants' power and then removes it. Below is a link showing all the messaged we receive on the terminal session. It is NOT a hardware fault with the PoE: [code]

View 10 Replies View RelatedMy Draytek 2710 just dies after 2 years so I was looking for something a little more reliable and noticed the spec of the SRP527W-U.I take it with only one antenna and reading a couple of past discussions, the wireless will only manage n-lite as some people call it i.e. 150Mbps, and not the full 300? Oh, and are the ports still only 100M and not Gig?I know the 547 would tick both these boxes but we are talking twice the price. How does the quality and logevity of the SRP500 series compare to the RV series (which would need an adsl modem) or the Linksys boxes?

1) RP2 need to have 16GB memory in order to support 4M routes?
2) Need to use ESP20/40 together with RP2?
3) If RP2 + ESP10, supporting route table size down to 1M?
4) 4M routes is shared for both IPv4 an IPv6?
