Cisco WAN :: 3560 SFP No Cable Between Top And Bottom
Mar 25, 2012
If i have 3 x 3560s do i need 3 cables connect one to each other then the top one to the bottom one - like the 3750s stacking stacks -- or is it just one cable between each device no cable between top and bottom
under ASA Version 8.0:Are NAT's processed from top to bottom or general to specific?I have a many-to-many NAT that is taking precedence over a one-to one-NAT. In what order are they processed?
I recently bought a new XPS One 2710. No problems except that when on the internet the web pages will suddenly drop to the bottom of the page and it is almost impossible to scroll back to the top. This is intermittent. It didn't happen the first week I had it and I have never had that problem with my laptop. Also, the cursor seems to want to move around when in areas that I am going to type in, like to do a search or put in the site name or such. All security is in place, Dell facilitated me with that via the phone.
I have a 3560 series switch and two comcast cable modems. I connected the modems to them switch via cross over cables and set an OSPF routing on their subnets. I connected my wireless router to another port of the switch and set its gateway IP on the switch port. I can ping the modem with the switch and I can ping the wireless too. But I cannot access to the Internet via the wireless router.
I need load balancing on two cable modems and get a single network connection via the wireless router.
My router is the WRT160N, and it doesn't display the version number on the bottom which according to your website means my router is a VERSION 1.SO, why is it that my router says it has:
Firmware Version: v1.53.0 Dec 19, 2007 And the latest firmware is Firmware 11/08/2010 Ver.1.02.11
That looks like an EARLIER firmware version to me judging by the firmware version yet it is dated later. **bleep**. If you want, I can upload a photo of my router's model no. for all to see.My question is, am I safe to 'upgrade' to this 'earlier but dated later' firmware version or not? Why is mine showing as having a later version.
I just recieved a new 3560-x switch with the C3KX-PWR-715WAC. It looks like Cisco is now using a different AC power cable. Not the StackPower connector, but the standard AC power cable. My data center is setup to supply 208v using C13 power cables. The switch uses a C15 power cable, and comes with a standard NEMA 5 to C13 power cable. Does Cisco make, or officially support a C13 to C15 power cable? Can I still use a 208v power supply with these switches? I'm using an APC AP8861 power distribution unit, see [URL]
I own a Dell Latitude D600 that I purchased off of Ebay a few months ago. For the past month I have been having an issue with my wireless card. My problem started when I turned on my computer and booted up and when my desktop loaded, no wireless icon or signal strength showed on the bottom right hand corner where are the other icons are. I went to Device Manager and in the Network adapter section was an exclamation point next to the Dell Wireless 1450 Dual Band WLan mini pci card which showed that there is a code 10 error. I have tried uninstalling it but then I would always get the BSOD with the BCMWL5.sys error. I have tried updating the driver as well but it would tell me that it already is up to date. I have also tried reinstalling my OS but my code 10 error always returns. When I opened up my laptop to see if the card is the cables are loose (which they weren't), I noticed that my wireless card is the Broadcom 4309.
I would also like to ask exactly what order am I suppose to have all of my drivers installed? I am almost positive that I am not installing them correctly. I have seen websites that say to install the Intel Chipset and O2 Smart Card first and then the NSS and so on.
Interface Speed Local pair Pair length Remote pair Pair status --------- ----- ---------- ------------------ ----------- -------------------- Gi0/40 100M Pair A 2 +/- 4 meters Pair A Normal Pair B 2 +/- 4 meters Pair B Normal Pair C 2 +/- 4 meters Pair C Short Pair D 2 +/- 4 meters Pair D Short
From the command
test cable-diagnostics tdr int gi 0/40
It's normal? If not, then. the problem is on the cable or on one of the interfaces? The interface is connected between a fastethenert on a 2811 router and a 3560-48 switch. The cable is a straight through cat 5e cable. (I have changed several cables with same result).
I have a modem Scientific Atlanta 2100. I just installed windows 8 pro 64bit and when installing the driver to use the usb cable modem does not recognize it and simply not installed. I wonder if it is possible to use my usb cable modem or simply incompatible with my windows 8 64bit pro.
Our family has about three computers that use a wireless network that we all share. We have an old Gateway, a WCG200, that is bridged to an E2000, which was set-up ever since we required better security when someone used our connection to illegally obtain movies. We got a letter which warned us of any future violations that could cause legal action, so we looked into our wireless connection to better secure it from any other individuals outside of our household. The WCG200 is connected to the outlet in the wall via cable, and then connects from the Ethernet to the E2000. The E2000 has a stronger security setup than the WCG200, which is the advice we received from our ISP and would allow us to keep the Gateway. It provides a strong signal, but from time to time, we suffer latency or slow loading through all of our online devices, even though our connection speed displays a solid 72.0 Mbps. I've tried the Event Viewer to see any problems, and I have noticed some small things:
- WLAN AutoConfig service has successfully stopped.Wirel?
- WLAN Extensibility Module has stopped. Module Path: C:WindowsSystem32cmihvsrv64.dll
- The server {E10F6C3A-F1AE-4ADC-AA9D-2FE65525666E} did not register with DCOM within the required timeout.
- Broadcom NetLink (TM) Gigabit Ethernet: The network link is down. Check to make sure the network cable is properly connected. [This last one is strange, since I use the Wireless Network Connection with a DW1501 Wireless-N WLAN Half-Mini Card, while the Broadcom adapter is under the Local Area Connection and displayed as not connected.]
Other than that, I'm not quite sure what the recurring problem comes from. Our WCG200 has a firewall enabled and our E2000 has an SPI firewall enabled. The security mode of the E2000 is a WPA2 setup. We have disabled the wireless network of our WCG200 in order to make use of the E2000.
I have a WAG160N wireless gateway . Yesterday when i tried to power it on after a couple of seconds the power led was solid green and the Ethernet leds were blinking with no Ethernet cable attached to the router . The ethernet leds would keep blinking for minutes . I tried to use a screwdriver to do a hardware reset ( with power on ) and i noticed that the power led would start blinking green/red for minutes . I tried to use another wired router which i have for backup and it could connect to the internet normally without a problem.
What the green / red blinking power led means ( power led is green and then changes to red and then it starts over ) ?
Is it possible for Time Warner Cable to use a pre-existing cable line which is going into my cable box to hook up a modem so I can have Internet? I've got a modem in another room but I don't want a cable running down my hallway for 30 feet.
I inherited a BEFCMU10 v.3 cable modem from my boss who switched to FiOS and I would like to use this with my Comcast connection. All I received from him is the cable modem and power adapter, what do I need to install and get this cable modem working? My router is WRT-54G.
I can't get a new IP from my ISP when my Cable modem router(EPC3925) is set to router mode, i have tried factory restore, unplugged etc..but still no luck. It changes each time i reset it when i set it to bridged only mode but then i won't be able to connect other devices to it since it doesn't uses DHCP in bridged only mode. It changes back to the IP i had when i set it to router mode. I don't want to change my router settings to bridged only because it would disconnect the other devices in my house. Why my ISP assigns the same IP address when it's set to router mode but assigns different IPs when it's set to bridged only, how is this possible ?
some reference material about configuring my WAG320N to use my cable modem via Ethernet port 1. I've seen it mentioned that's its possible, however I've been unable to sort it out myself.
And before you ask, I've brought the DSL router as I'm moving in the next 12 months and my new base will not have access to cable internet and I'll be reverting back to DSL.
We have a 3560 on our head office acting as an aggregare switch as well as Hub terminating remote wan links(one trunk link from provider terminated on FE port with several SVIs for remote location) and routing via OSPF. We have 1800 series at remote locations.
Now, If I want to prioritize say SQL traffic outbound from our head office to each remote brach I cant seem to do it with 3560 as it says... cannot apply service policy out blah blah.
How can I achieve my goal with 3560, Is it a good design to use 3560 as a Hub? our port utilization isnt that much..Wouldnt it be better to use 1800 or 2800 series?
I have a cisco cat 3560 and the present IOS is 12.2(46)SE and i want to upgrade the IOS to 12.2(58)se1.As there is only 8mb of frees space i cant straightly copy the new IOS on the switch. Any convenient way to Upgrade IOS.
We have a problem with our WS-C3560V2-24TS running IOS c3560-ipservicesk9-mz.122-53.SE2.bin. The equipment keep dropping packets for no apperent reason.
This is what we are seeing: LAN-port Router0#sh interfaces fastEthernet 0/2 | include drops: Input queue: 0/75/0/0 (size/max/drops/flushes); Total output drops: 20595 WAN-port
[Code]....
We are shaping the gig uplink to 100Mbps, the equipment is dropping pakets randomly and not because the shaper kicks in and starts to drop pakets.
I am trying to see how can configure MQC in Etherchannel. I know that i need to do this in the memeber physical interfaces of the etherchannel. The etherchannel is a trunk port allowing few VLANs. SVIs are created in the switch for this VLANs as well. tell me where i need to apply the QOS ? Is it under the member physical interfaces ?.
I connected the AP [1140 - Version 12.4(21a)JA1, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)] to the switch (3560) and the switch with the WLC (5500 series), but I get the below error:
*Nov 7 09:07:59.916: %DTLS-5-SEND_ALERT: Send WARNING : Close notify Alert to 192.168.10.22:5246 *Nov 7 09:07:59.954: %CAPWAP-5-CHANGED: CAPWAP changed state to
[Code]....
The access point cannot join the controller. Is this a misconfiguration at the WLC or something else?
my current network setup is like this.. a cisco 3560 is connected on an access port to an adjacent dlink stack. i want to enable trunking between the cisco and the dlink. what i know is that dlink doesnot support per vlan STP while dlink only run single instance of the STP.. how can i make the trunking possible without messing with the network.
the idea that i have is to run MSTP instance on the 3560 so that it appears as a single STP to the dlink switch and then all good. is there any other way to do that. if i just make both the adjacent ports on both the switches as trunk and connect them, will it cause any problem in terms of STP issues or convergence ?
My HO is connected to BOs over MPLS Links. The links are terminated on routers but i dont have access on those routers as it is maintained by the ISP.Behind of the HO router there is s 3560 switch. Can i configure this switch to prioritize some traffic over the WAN link to the BOs.
By default there 2 input queues. 2nd is priority queue and has 10% of link assigned. Weights for two queues are 4 and 4. For example we have 1Mbps link. ANd we also have saturated link with voice and other traffic. Will voice get 550k bandwidth? As I undestood 100k is assigned to voice strictly. Remaining 900k is evenly divided by two queues according to 4 and for ratio.
I'm working on a new network design for my company. We're expanding and opening some more offices and satalite sites. We're a UK based company but opening some US sites. We have a main UK office (Office A on the diagram) a call centre (Office B) and then two buildings on another site (Office C). The USA offices will be very small and only require a couple of computers, hence the small IP allocation. I have marked the IP addresses of the links on the diagram, I intend to use 3560 switches for all the switches marked and all links will be layer 3 to route multiple VLANs from each site to each site (where permitted). question is this: How do I achieve this in the switches? I'm thinking that OSPF is the way forward, is this right? I want to do as little configuration on the switches as possible to allow for dynamic updates of the network (i.e. I don't want to add static routes for everything).
How to configure SLA monitoring in 3560 switch. I have 2 DSL links terminating in switch and want to do WAN failover. I know how to do in ASA and router. I found IP SLA and track commands on switch but don't know exactly how to use them.
I want to upgrade a Catalyst 3560-48PS to the last IOS.I get an errormessage stating that there is insufficient space in flash: I have deleted all files in flash - but I still get the same error message. According to the documentation there should be enough memory. Messages are pasted below:
