I am facing a issue on Cisco 3845 router, IOS is :c3845-adventerprisek9-mz.124-22.YB8.bin
I have changed the IOS as well as the Hardware but again the router is restarting. I have put the show tech-support and crash-info in Output interpreter, result is below:
ERROR MESSAGE NOTIFICATIONS (if any) %PAR-1-FATAL (x): [chars] Explanation: A parity error has occurred. The problem might be caused either by a motherboard that has failed or motherboard settings that are incorrectly set.
We have an ASA5505 that seems to be randomly restarting. How can I troubleshoot this? Is there a log file somewhere that tracks hardware issues like this?
Why do I have to restart my computer to connect to the internet? I've had this problem for about 4 months now and I don't know what it is. If I leave it idle at anytime and come back, I have to restart the computer to connect.
I went to go turn on my computer and it stopped at the loading screen where the blue square things are and I think it says windows seven with the flag above the loading bar.So I turned it off then back on and it flashed acer then a thing came up that apologized for the incomvience blah blah blah my computer waas shut down and I choose an appropriate actioan. It says safe modes which I clicked on then a bunch of stuff came up and it didn't do anything so then I just went to start windows normally. It went to the loading screen again then it just restarted the whole thing.
I'm having an issue with my wireless router and I don't think it's normal. Basically, I would be on my computer or laptop, generally browsing the Internet, and all of a sudden the Internet will stop working. A small yellow exclamation mark appears beside the wireless icon in the system tray. In order to resolve this, I go downstairs and turn the router off and then turn it back on again. When the router loses the connection, the light on the router goes out (the one that says Internet), yet everything else is on as it should be. Restarting the router seems to fix this problem. I just can't understand why I have to do this at home when the wireless router at work never has an issue. It's literally on 24/7 and handles everything from laptops to iPhones and even iPads.
Is this normal for my router? I had this exact same issue with my previous one and so I ended up buying an N range router (the last one was G). The guide book says that you shouldn't ever turn it off as that could cause problems, but whenever it loses the Internet connection, I'm forced to restart it in order to get the connection back.
This is a Sony Vaio E series laptop running Windows 7 that I've had for close to a year now. The problem began about two days ago with the wireless connection getting dropped randomly (no signals found). The first few times it happened I ran Troubleshoot and it fixed itself, and picked the connection back up. Yesterday when it happened again the troubleshoot failed. I check my router connections, reset it a few times, checked my other computer's connections (all fine) then finally tried restarting the laptop. When it came back up it connected to the internet again. This has since happened three times, and each time I have to completely restart the laptop to get the wireless signal back.
I bought this Tenda wifi router and connected it.It's a chinese one and the user interface is not much friendly. It works fine but sometimes if u play around with it u will lose the settings you inserted in to it and you will need to reconfigure it.
My problem is my ISP seems to renew the IP's issued to their customers automatically every 10 hrs from the last login. But every other router keeps the connection alive but my router doesn't. It needs to be restarted in order to get the internet back online.simply said,u need to restart the router every 10 hrs.
I have Thomson Tg585 v7 router, when trying to add new game application to set the ports for GW2 my router just restart by it self, and i can't add the application even if i do it fast it won't take any name i try for it,even tho i did add ports for BF3 like 2months ago and it worked fine.
As soon as I set it up it would keep restarting every 3-5 minutes. It would sync with the ADSL line, wireless ok and then boom restart again.I've tried every singe setting, googled the problem, updated the firmware to the latest and still no luck. Then I had it replaced today with a new one and I faced exactly the same problem so I am thinking that eitherI am completely useless (which I would like to think I am not) or I got stuck with a batch of faulty X3000.Currently I am on linksys WAG200G that has been working non-stop for ages and the only reason I upgraded is that I wanted faster streaming.
I have an E1200 wireless router. I need to restart it every 1 to 2 days. After restarting it is good until the next time. This has happened with different routers and upgraded firmware to the newest version available on all.
I used to have a Thomson st-330 USB modem for my ADSL network. When I wanted to change my IP i just disconnected and reconnected a dial up connection that does the job instantly! (a wan miniport + a batch file to disconnect/recoannect with my password and username)Few days ago i bought a new modem/router (TP-LINK TS-W8951NS)Before that all I knew was that if I wanna change the ip address (if I have a router) was a batch file with commands ipconfig /release/renew.I now know that this changes the ip of my PC not the global IP! So how would I change it without restarting the router? (When i change something in my router interface page (PVC1.2.3....etc) my IP changed instantlybut how do I do this without accessing the router, like commands and a batch file etc? I just found out that my global IP changed on its own after like 30-60 min :S why is that! and to do so manually???
1.) when making changes and restarting the router I am unable to get web pages (wired port or wireless) or web response from the router, despite re-entering the URL (192.xxx.x.x). I *DO* get a dialtone (VoIP). To get router restarted I have to get my lazy arse up and cycle power to the router. Like I said, a nuisance.Configured for WPA2 Personal security with MAC Wireless Filtering (9 MACs)
2.) Adding a 10th wireless device to the filter table and the MAC 10: becomes duplicated in MAC 09: while the existing MAC 09: disappears. Finally got it to accept my new device but now I have 2 devices repeated in the MAC Filter Table. Not a clean setup.
I have a Dell Vostro 3460 laptop with Windows 7, 64-bit. My wireless driver is Dell Wireless 1704.802.11b/g/n. I just got this computer in December, and it worked fine for a couple of months, then about a month ago, I started having these problems.
Whenever I turn off or put my computer to sleep and turn it back on, my wireless connection doesn't work. The wireless indicator light on the front of the laptop is not on, and I push the FN+F2 button (which is supposed to turn on wireless), but it does nothing. I checked under the device manager, and the wireless adapter is not there.
After the first time I ran the diagnostics, I reinstalled the driver. The I restarted the computer, and the wireless was working. However, that night I turned of the computer, and when I turned it back on the next morning, the wireless was not working again.Other things I have discovered that sometimes work as a temporary fix:
Sometimes, if I wait 5 or so minutes, the wireless indicator light will come on, and then I can restart my computer and connect to a network, but most of the time, I can wait for hours and it never comes on.If I start in computer into safe mode or the BIOS screen or diagnostic screen, sometimes the wireless will start working after I exit that mode and start into normal operating. For example, one of the times that I ran the PSA diagnostics, the wireless started working afterwards, but stopped working again the next day. Another time, I started the computer in safe mode with networking to see if that would work, and the wireless did not work while I was in safe mode, but then I restarted the computer in normal mode, and the wireless came on.
One time, I went under Device Manager and did "Scan for Hardware Changes." After that, the wireless indicator light came on, and I restarted the computer and was able to connect to a network. However, all of these solutions were temporary, and some of these solutions only work one time but not again.I called Dell Support a couple of weeks ago, and they said that my antivirus program might be stopping the wireless driver from starting up. I have Trend Micro, which came with the computer.
I am position to migrate from CatOS 6509 switch to native IOS 6509 switch. long time ago, there was some site to convert automatically based on copy and paste onto the tool, but i can not find.
Does anybody know how to convert CatOS configuration to Native IOS configuration ? It is not IOS change, but it is configuration convert.
I have webcams that need port 8081 opened and I did that, everything worked fine until my DIR655 jammed up and power cycling it and the modem 3-4 times DID not make it work: no internet access and it was definitely a DIR655 problem. So, out with the paperclip to do the big reset, causing me to lose my configuration. When "most" of it came back up with my new config (I had screen prints), all was okay EXCEPT the webcams. Addresses and ports were all configured properly, address was fixed too on the client computer rather than use DHCP. I had a DNS relocation service running (DYNDNS) for the WAN side, but that address (My IP) didn't change either. I tried EVERYTHING. Finally, I realized in all my screwing around that I had enabled UPnP in my application, something I hadn't done before, but did this time as a desperation move. UPnP had always been checked off in the router. So.....I REMOVED my port forwarding and virtual server settings (either one worked before), and voila, everything working, Is this a normal occurrence, that if you have UPnP running, that this auto configuration overrides any manual configuration?
I want just want to know on how to add NAT inside and outside ip address.
For instance:
Original Address = 119.xx.xxx.257 (8138) Translated Address = 119.xx.xx.28 (8138) On the example above, I can access my web application by typing www.wesbite.com:8138
The settings above was configured by the previous administrator and unfortunately I dont know how to configure same thing as he did.
Now, I made new web application and set it to port 8139, so I should be able to access it by typing the www.wesbite.com:8139
In order to make it accessable on the internet, I should make configuration first on the router via NAT, and I dont know how.
Also, I tried to edit NAT configuration via Cisco SDM (Secutiry Device Manager)
Cisco SDM>Configure>NAT>Edit NAT Configuration
I clicked Add button but nothing happens, even clicking Edit and Delete button
I have an LMS 4.1 where sys log reports available for all the reachable devices on the network. All the devices were configured with the command "logging host <LMS_IP_address>".
The problem is that the report on LMS are shifted 2 hours from the clock displaying on the devices ("show logging" on any device).
How can I check the NTP configuration of LMS? Is it supposed to use the NTP configuration of the operating system (Windows Server 2008)?
i have the asa5505 with asa8.4.5 and asdm 6.4.2. my asa work like site to site vpn with the other asa5505. i would be love that monitoring status of VPN. i enabled on asa logging, i puted address of smtp server, receipent email, source email, the problem is because my smtp server require authentication, TLS. how set configuration on asa5505? configuration of logging for send notification on email.
why the following configuration is not working? I have two clustered ASAs inline from one another, in front of a 4506-E switch in front of a host I want to access via RDP, like so: My issue at this stage lies with getting the UNTRUST firewall configured. I've tried the following configuration 1) Creating the host.
I'm trying to setup an IPSEC tunnel above GRE using the topology in the attached image file. However the traffic between the 2 endpoints: lo0 on R5 (10.0.5.1) and lo0 on R4 is traveling via the GRE tunnel without being encapsulated in IPSEC: I'm using 2 routing protocols:
- OSPF area 0 for the connectivity between R1,R2 and R3 - EIGRP AS 1 for the internal sites connectivity
I'm shortly going to move our stuff to a new data centre, where we have two network feeds - so there'll be two lengths of CAT 5 coming into the rack, for "first hop redundancy".I have something similar at our existing DC, but I'm simplifying the equation somewhat at the new DC, and using a simpler configuration that just uses two switches, rather than two switches and two routers. All of the servers will have public IP addresses. Now - the network guy at the new DC has confirmed that a simpler two switch configuration will work.
I have a nat configuration to apply on a 8.4. I am a bit confused. On a ASA 7.0 the configuration is as such static (inside, outside) 10.102.247.0 10.102.247.0 netmask 255.255.255.0Basically, I want a bidirectional nat .. for users to connect to the inside network using the real IP.object network Delta subnet 10.102.247.0 255.255.255.0,object network Delta
The basic setup Newly installed redundant ISP, thus setting up the 891 with dual WAN Using PFR to load balance between the two. Did initial config through CCP (not express), but I am familiar with the basics of IOS CLI (not used to the new zone based firewall yet, managed aour old Pix for too long, but that is a different subject)
I cannot seem to get anything but Gi0 to be accepted as a WAN interface. I go through the entire setup in CCP, test each connection, etc, and it all looks good until I exit out of CCP and go back in. At that point, I get squat out of Fa8. CCP won't let me test the connection, won't let me edit the connection, wont let me delete the connection. The wizard for a new WAN connection becomes available again (Wanting to set up a "second" WAN on Fa7...)
Again, I have verified connections to each ISP line independently, either one works just fine on Gi0, neither ever works on Fa8. This is my first real foray into PfR.

After launching config collection job in LMS 4.2 I can't get job results and receive error message - Unable to get results of job execution for device. I've increased the job result wait time using option in Admin > Collection Settings ... , but nothing changed. Here are screenshots of error message and wait settings I used.

I have also attached a Visio for this and the running configuration from the ASA and 3750. We don't have access to the TNS VPN router. Our responsibility is to just to make sure the tunnel comes up.
1) Create a static NAT on the ASA for Public to Private IP of the VPN router
Public - 208.64.1x.x5 / 28 Private - 172.20.58.21 / 30
Will the ASA automatically ARP for this address or do i have to configure another interface on the ASA with this public IP?
2) What would the access list look like on the ASA?
3) The client gave us some config to copy the stuff on the ASA so that they can create the tunnel but i couldn't put those commands in the ASA. How would this be applied and on what interface?
