We have 2x Cisco 3750 WS-C3750-48PS-S and 1x WS-C3750-48PS-E in stack mode. They all work well. Currently they have c3750- ipservicesk9-mz.122- 25.SEE2.bin on them which is deffered by Cisco. What would be a good alternate, stable version for my switches? Switches have 16MB flash and 128mb Ram.

As far as i understand all the stacked switches should have the same IOS, i may be wrong. The switches have the following model numbers and SW images;

which image file i should use as they all have different model numbers and Cisco provides different image files for each model.
If I have two stackable switches one switch uplinks to one 6509 core switch and the other connection uplinks to another 6509 core switch, and also the other stackable switch does not connect to the core switches. Because I am using hsrp and also we are not using vss then one uplink to the core is not in used only ones is so then how does creating an etherchannel between does two uplinks to both core switches benefit me in anyway such as more bandwith and using both uplinks at the same time or I'm I wrong?

Error: There is insufficient space in flash: to install the requiredError: image. Clean up some old images, and try again.
So I used the delete /recursive flash:image-dir-name to clean out the old files, but I'm still getting the same message after doing this. What's the problem? Now I have a switch with no IOS and need to at least get something on there.

I'm trying to use LMS to upgrade a stack of switches that have 1 or more 3750x's and other 3750's. In Software Distribution, if I choose Distrube to devices, basic, it finds the x switch, which is the master but says the others are not candidates. I don't see a place where I can tell it it is a mixes stack and choose multiple IOS's.

%STACKMGR-4-STACK_LINK_CHANGE: Stack Port 1 Switch 1 has changed to state DOWN
%STACKMGR-4-STACK_LINK_CHANGE: Stack Port 1 Switch 1 has changed to state UP
Now I replaced the stacking cables but no joy. It was ok for an hr or so but then the error messages popped up again. Also random links on this stack back to access layer user switches have been going up and down randomly. So I have decided to take the next step and upgrade the IOS.
Although when I try and copy a new IOS I get the following error:
%Error writing flash:/c3750-ipservicesk9-mz.122-55.SE6.bin (No space left on device)
Seems this image is 130MB while the image that is currently on it is 74MB and free space is 54MB. How do I get the image onto the router? If I delete the current image from flash will that cause the router to stop functioning?
Also I noticed there seems to be more than one flash directory. See below:

I recently added a 3750X-24P-L into a stack of 3750V2 switches. I did so by getting the temporary upgrade license from LAN Base to IP Services; I added the switch no problem. I now have the permanent license and I was wondering if I could install the permanent license without having to remove the switch from the stack. I tried a license install but that failed. The switch is not currently the master but I figured I might promote it and then try the install.

I want to run rolling-stack upgrades on several stacks containing Catalyst 3750X-switches. I have done as follows: Configured the redundant uplinks as active and stand-by.Started to upgrade by using archive download-sw /rolling-stack-upgrade /overwrite /reload The upgrade starts as expected BUT switch number 2 in the stack is reloaded BEFORE switch 1 is finnished, the result is of course downtime for the stack. The documentation says something about the command "boot time", but what is this command doing? The default seems to be 7 minutes, it this parameter the time the upgrade-process waits before booting the next switch in the stack? I would expect that switch number 2 is reloaded when switch 1 is up again after reload, and not after an absolute number of minutes, is the rolling-stack-upgrade not working this way ?

I have the same scenario but for the network uplink i also have LACP. When i tried to configured the RU stanby one of the uplink LACP the switch gives an error.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a stack of 4 Cisco Switch 3750 (1 x WS-C3750G-24T, 2 x WS-C3750-48P and 1 x WS-C3750V2-48PS) and I want to do an firmware upgrade of this stack. Actually, all the 4 switches are at the firmware version 12.2(50) SE1 "IPBase" and I want to upgrade them to 12.2(55)SE5 IPBase. According to the release notes, all the switches in my stack are supported.
To upgrade the firmware, I use the command "archive download-sw /imageonly /overwrite tftp://IP_Address/c3750-ipbaselmk9-tar.122-55.SE5.tar" The firmware gets uploaded correctly but then I get the error message "There is insufficient space in flash: to install the required image. Clean up some old images, and try again."
When I do a "show flash", I see that the switch has 5650944 bytes free of 15998976 bytes.
How can i upgrade my switches? Is there an error in my command which I use? Do I need to add an other option?
The problem is, the switches are located in a branch office and there is no direct access to them. Everything must be done remotely.
I am planning to upgrade the current core switch(3750) to 6509 series switch. Since we have a production network running we have to plan for an online core switch upgrade.

The phones use a voice VLAN and the PC's use another VLAN. The whole setup seems to work ok but I was just wondering if the QOS was configured correctly. Our current config on our 3750 switches are mls qos trust dscp on the port that connects to the phone and PC and mls qos trust dscp on the L3 links. The phones are configured for "QOS L2/L3"From the reading I've done so far it seems that any ports connected to a L2 device should be set to cos and not dscp?
View 16 Replies View RelatedWe are running CISCOWorks 4.0 (LMS).I can connect to and update the majority of my 3750's but I have about 20 that result in failure when attempting to update the image on those devices.The return error is "SWIM50001: Cannot connect to the device "IPAddress" using SSH and TELNET." When running "sho ssh" you see connection for the current ssh tectia login but nothing pointing to the ciscoworks device.When I run "sho ssh" from a different device I see both connections, 1 from my desktop ssh connection and the other showing username of ciscoworks.I ran the Discovery tool, again, but no joy.I was looking for a manual way to add that connection but again nothing. I have 3750 stack with 4 switches.I am trying to make change some port to new VLAN, but switch 2 & 3 new change never works, the ports stick with old VLAN. Other two switches works as I expected on new changed VLAN.Tried to reboot, no progress.
