I have an EA2700 which I am trying to rollback to the older interface, however it errors out every time I try to install the firmware. All I ever get is this message: Unexpected Error The firmware update did not complete successfully. Please try again later. We've encountered an unexpected error. If the issue continues, please visit our Technical Support site.I've reset the router multiple times, powered it off overnight, re-downloaded the file multiple times, and am still unable to successfully rollback. Sometimes it even errors out when I try to set the password on the router itself and I have to reset it again before I can use the interface.
As soon as I connected my ASR 1002s to the Internet and digested the Internet BGP table, I began receiving this message. I’ve google’d and turned up nothing so far. I assume I need to allocate more memory to this process.
I have implement MPLS L3VPN on my network to provide service to customer and right now we plan to have service VPLS on our same router. What is needed to run the VPLS in our MPLS network ? I heard that we need addictional switching module and upgrade my IOS to support it but I am not sure.
I want to terminate the IP Sec VPN tunnel on the Cisco ASR 1002 router, but it shouldn't have be bedirectional traffic to the other end., and it should be answer only, We don't run tunnle over GRE (no IPSec profile), just IPSec only. I found there is a command "crypto map *** client configuration address respond" but it looks it is global command and we have lots of VPN terminated on the Cisco ASR 1002 router, How can we configure the "Answer Only" for only one specific VPN tunnel and it won't impact the others?
Any router (I'm considering ASR 1002 with 10GE SPAs) that can support the following:
-10GE interfaces -can handle 1.5Gbps but scales up to 5-6Gbps different seasons -take on full internet routes from 2-3 providers -will live on the internet edge
I was asked to configure a new ASR 1002 today and after successfully puttintg the config on the router (via TFTP) the router will no longer communicate with anything. There is nothing in the config to cause this (it was actually pulled off a working production ASR 1002) and I am unable to ping a local loop back IP while consoled into the router?? I removed the config, reloaded the router and configured a new loop back - same issue cannot ping the loop back or anything else connected to this router.
We have CISCO ASR 1002 router on our DC, I want to enable TACACS on this router.what is the usage of key, we need a separate key for every device? or. [code]
I have an ASR 1002. Behind that and across another small MAN network (considered inside) I have an ASA. On the remote end, I have a simple 2811.
I need to create a vpn peer from the remote router to both the ASR (to hand off traffic there) and also a peer at the ASA (to encrypto across the MAN). The ASR1002 has the serial connection (DS3) to our MPLS cloud in which the remote is on the opposite side of.
So basically, I've created a single isakmp policy with two crypto map's by the same name but set to different peers and placed on the remote router then applied it to the serial interface. This works fine. Now i throw in the ASA which is behind the ASR. However, the connection still comes through that ASR to get to the ASA.After setting it up, it works as long as I don't have the crypto map applied to the ASR. If i apply the crypto map to the so interface of the ASR, my asa vpn connection stops working. It almost seems as if the crypto map on the ASR is grabbing my enrypted traffic destined for xx.xxx.24.14 and trying to do something with it. [code]
Why can't i peer from my remote router to both the ASA and the ASR on the opposite end of the serial link?
We have 400 branches is ended on ASR 1002 router. ASR 1002 is the Hub router. When we disconnect/connect WAN interface or Shut/no shut tunnel interface, at the moment, router is not reacheable via telnet.
But if i disable the EIGRP on tunnel interface, tunnel are ok, then when i enable eigrp on tunnel interface, all eigrp neighbourhoods are OK.Is there any way to limit NHRP or EIGRP packets ?
I have a Cisco 2921 router running c2900-universalk9-mz.SPA.150-1.M4.bin.Its licensed for ipbase, ipbasek9, Permanent and uc,uck9,Permanent (I'm using the router as a voice gateway),I'm looking to update the IOS to c2900-universalk9-mz.SPA.150-1.M5.bin as I'm told it has a fix for some DSP problems. So the question is, do I need to obtain a new license key to apply this update or am I covered by the existing license on the router.
I recently formatted the flash drive of an 1800 router and replaced it with an updated image. However, the new features within the new image aren't reflected in the router. I believe that this is because a reboot would be required for the updates in the new image to be reflected in the router i.e. the image needs to be added to the system. How to get the image to the system without a reboot and if by doing so I would get all the new features from the image. For example, the show version below shows the old image in the system as [code]
I recently updated my firmware for a DIR-601 router and have internet while hardwired, but no wireless. I saved the configuration settings before updating, but this doesn't even matter because my wireless router doesn't even show up in the list of available wireless network connections. Why isn't my router showing up? I tried a few things like unplugging it and resetting it, but nothing seems to work.
I recently purchased two x3000 devices. Both shipped with the 1.0.01 firmware installed.Upgraded one device in one location to the 1.0.03.001 release without issue.A day later i'm not trying from a second location to perform the same action.I've downloaded the FW_X3000_1.0.03.001.bin firmware from the Cisco downloads for the device and receive a pop up 'The image file is incorrect'.I've downloaded hte image twice and it appears to be correct in size. I'm following the same process that worked without issue the day previously.
i successfully configured my befsr81 router hardware version 3.1 with a dyndns hostname account. how often is it supposed to update? it doesnt seem to update till i login to the router through my browser. where is successfully updates. is there a way to choose how often it updates?
For some reasons, my internet connection keeps dropping more often recently. My laptop still says it is connected to my network but I can just not have internet connection. It was not like that before but it happened more frequently now. What I did was to power off then on the modem and the router and everything will work fine again. I want to upgrade my firmware but I just wonder if I need to save all the configuration before doing the upgrading? If so, then how can I set it back to the old configuration that was saved?
When I bought my E1200 router my primary (in fact only) computer was a Windows laptop. Since that time I bought a MacBook Pro and have been using that as my primary computer. The Mac is running on the latest OS (Mountain Lion).
I would like to install the latest software to maintain the router on my Mac but I was told several months ago that there was no update available for Mountain Lion. If that has changed, and if so then where can I download the appropriate software?
I know that Cisco Cloud Connect was released fairly recently. I also know that the e4200v2 was supposed to be a supported router from last generation for Cisco Cloud Connect. However, when I go to the upgrade firmware option on my router settings, it says that I have the most up to date firmware.
How do I get CIsco Cloud Connect setup on my e4200v2? Would I simply follow the manual install instructions for the ea4500 with the firmware for the ea4500?
I'm hoping that the updated firmware will fix an issue I'm having with getting a Seagate Expansion hard drive detected for the media server portion since I know a closely related hard drive was in the list of functioning external hard drives for the Cisco Connect Cloud firmware.
I just updated the firmware on the WNR1000v3 router. However all the port forwarding configs that were set up previously have become "ghosts". They do not show up on the list nor work, but I cannot add a new entry.
i just updated my firmware on my wrt54g ver 2 router, went through all the steps it updated successfully after that i hit the reset button and unplugged the router as tehe online instructions said to. Now i can't connect to the interent at all with either of my two wired computers or through the wireless. All the lights on the front of the router are on like the power, internet, and wireless connectivity. Also the the two WAN ports my computers are connected to in the router the lights are on and it's recognising them. But I can't connect to the internet or even see the router on my network settings. Somone suggested to reconfigure the router but when i go to set up new connection my computer doesn't detect the router and also i cant connect to the router using the ip address 192.168.1.1/ since there is no internet connection. Is there a way to get to the router options or a way to revert it to its old firmware.
The router 1841 is connected directly to the layer switch. the network diagram is below:
Office A --> Switch (L3) --> Router 1841 --> Internet --> Office B
However, when I transfer the file from Office A to office B, the speed very slow ( only around 40 kb/second), and there are an input error and CRC error:
Cisco-R1841#sh interfaces FA0/1 FastEthernet0/1 is up, line protocol is up Hardware is Gt96k FE, address is 0019.e02f.03dd (bia 0019.e02f.03dd)
I recently updated my WRT54G V3 to frimware 4.21.5 and now get regular wireless connection issues. The wired connection never has any problem (can connect to the router and the internet), but none of the wireless devices can see either.
The problem happens every couple of days, and cycling the power seems to be the only fix. When the problem does occur, the wireless devices don't even see the broadcasted SSID. But cycling the WRT54G's power fixes that.
I've gotten a few suggestions to do a "30-30-30" reset, but can't find exactly what that entails.
The update "failed," due to an "unexpected error." Wireless connection is disabled, although, as you have probably noticed, I can still connect to the internet (using an ethernet cable from my router to my laptop OSX 10.6.8). Error Code 3018 is unknown to Cisco's website. Or should I just start over with the installation disk for my E4200 router?
After a storm in my neighborhood my wireless router was reset. It is a wrt54g purchased in 2007. I had to reinstall the Easy Link Advisor from the net because the disk I had did not work with Windows 7. Everything went OK, however, I am not able to add a password. I keep getting the following error message: Error Updating Devise The Method or Operation is not Implemented. How do I get around this issue and install some sort of security for my home network? My wireless network was named genesis50 now it went back to linksys. How do I change the name back? The hard wired system still shows as genesis50.
I have one ASR 1002 router and one GSR router. when i insert SFP-OC48-IR1 module with GSR and connect 100 Mb link that comming from MUX then the GSR port is up but when the link is connect with ASR with same module the port not going up.i had cross check the module GSR to ASR but the problem remain same.
I have Cisco router ASR 1002-F on which I have created two subinterface, Gigabitethernet 0/0/1.333 and Gigabitethernet 0/0/2.111. I try to bridge those two subinterface but no success. I can create bridg-group and everything needed but I can not add subinterface to specific bridge-group. If I try write command bridge-group on subinterface there is not even possible to chose this command.
OK ran into a little problem with getting this to work. Only group members participate in the encryption process, correct?
I have numerous remotes all coming into one central location. I set up a KS and have currently only 2 of the remote routers set up as GM's, with the intention of the others coming into play as I move forward. Here is basically what I have in my KS and GM's:
So I applied the crypto map to the serial interfaces on my routers on either side of the cloud (central-ASR1002 and remote-ISR1841). When I did this, ALL the remotes went down and I'm not sure why. Even the ones that didn't have anything to do with gdoi. Ya, it wasn't good. I thought that only the group members would be affected.
Is it the fact that my acl is encrypting any to any? Surely I don't have to reverse that and have two statements with the same syntax. I'm basically just trying to encrypt all traffic from specific remotes back to the central side. However, I'm trying to do it without taking down the rest of my network .
I have route-map defined on my ASR 1002 12.2(33)XNE and applied to my gi0/0/1 interface. I need to change the IP address defined on the "set ip next-hop ..." line. My question is, when I make the change in just the route-map definition, does the change take effect immediately, or do I need to remove and re-apply the "ip policy route-map ..." statement on the interface? If I do have to remove and re-apply, will this be service-affecting for all the traffic flowing through the interface? I'm just not sure what to expect.
I have Cisco ASR 1002, code XE 3.4.1 doing site-2-site VPN with an ASA managed by another company that I have no control over running 8.3 (I think).the site-2-site vpn is very easy straight forward as follows.
