Nov 26, 2012I have a WCS and it's GUI keeps timing out on me, I have to login again and again if i do keep it idle. Anytime timeout for session into WCS?

Internet Keeps Timing Out Xp 2?
Jun 30, 2012I'm running Mozilla firefox on xp 2. I hv wireless connection. My signal strength is very good. Under wireless network connection status my speed is 45 Mbps. Status is connected. Under activity it says is sending n receiving packets. My Internet used to disconnect n I'd restart it fixing it but now i'm having hard time getting it to connect. It keeps timing out. I hv to repeatedly click on links for them to work. Iv tried repair. Iv messed with dns n how grabbing ip address. Iv messed with Mozilla connection settings nothing seems to work.

May 20, 2012Some websites, such as Amazon and Verizon's forum suddenly started timing out. This occurs on chrome, IE, and firefox. My xbox says it is connected to the modem but that it is not connected to the internet. My kindle fire cannot connect, but my android phone could load some websites, but now it can't load any. My mac, my laptop with windows XP, and my desktop with windows 7 are having the same problem. I did an upload/download test and the times were normal. I also restarted my modem, with no change. Other strange changes are that the wireless signal is weaker and it was slowing a few hours before it stopped showing some websites. Also, io9.com will load, but only the text of the nav bars. There are no graphics or other information. This has never happened before.
I have not done anything new manually to the modem or my computers. The only significant change was a power outage due to heavy wind that occurred a little over 24 hours earlier. I'm so confused by this that I don't even know what else to look-up or test. Why would a bunch of reliable websites suddenly time out while others still work? I don't think I can blame it on the servers of those web sites because the other sections of Verizon.com work, and student.santarosa.edu loads, but online.santarosa.edu does not load

Nov 17, 2011I am having a major issue, system wide with web pages timing out or loading slowly - we are using a Sonicwall as our content filter and firewall and to assign DHCP, we are a windows environment with both Server 2003 and 2008. Here are the results of a few tracert commands I ran.

Web Browsers Not Connecting / Timing Out?
Jun 13, 2011Recently, I've been getting problems where my internet browser is unable to connect to the server it's looking for or gets timed out. It happens intermittently (probably every five to seven web pages I try to visit), and refreshing after a few seconds always allows it to connect fine. It happens at some point on every web site I try to visit.This began occurring rather suddenly on both of my home computers. All other connections on these computers seem to be working fine. I use Chrome as the primary browser on both computers, but have tried using Firefox and it still seems to occur.What can I do to figure out what the problem is? I'm not even sure if it's a browser issue or a network issue, but we have never had this problem before

Charter suggested that the modem signal was weak, indicating the modem might be bad, so I replaced the modem. The problem persists and they think the modem and router connection is timing out.They want me to lease a modem/wireless router combination for $10 a month. I'd rather buy one.

Feb 14, 2012I have recently installed a new Cisco SG 300-10 switch--running in layer 3 mode--to function as a basic router for a new subnet installed at one of my company sites. When we attempt to ping devices on the 15.120.204.0 subnet from the 230.20.1.0 subnet, each device gives 2 responses and then times out continuously after that. If we wait long enough (thus far, an undetermined period of time) and reattempt to ping the same devices, the same thing occurs. Otherwise, we get nothing but timeouts. This occurs regardless of where we connect in the 230.20.1.0 subnet including VLAN1 on the SG 300-10. However, if we connect into VLAN 2 on the switch and assign a static IP, those same devices respond continuously. I was thinking that this must be a security setting of some kind but I'm unable to locate anything in the SG 300-10 that would appear to cause this.

Sep 12, 2011Running ASA 5510 with code 8.3 in it.We have our few https portal and OWA websites in HO.We access these sites from the network behind the ASA.All works perfectly fine.
In order to have control on internal network traffic we placed a web-filtering device (Fortigate) in transparent mode.To start with of we haven't blocked anything via new box but https portal and OWA stopped working from certain computers.At the same time other https sites were reachable from the same computer/s.We checked that website was tracable using traceroute from ASA,Fortigate and even from interal computer(from the one which it is not opening).This behaviour is random.

Jan 22, 2013I have an HP 8710 Workstation laptop running WindowsXP that just recently starting having problems maintaining an internet connection with my ATT Elevate mobile hotspot. My internet connection will work for 1-2 minutes and then end up timing out. I then have to disconnect and then reconnect to the wireless network to get connectivity. I was using was my laptop's built-in wifi card (Intel Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN) when this was occurring, then switched to a wifi adapter (Linksys AE1000) and still the problem persists. I contacted ATT and they checked the cell towers, nothing is wrong and everything seems to be working. I've tried upgrading all the drivers, still no success.

Dec 5, 2011I have a E2500 router and 3 WAP610N access points. Users are having a difficult time connecting to the AP's. The client device just sits there trying to obtain an IP and then times out. If they get within range of the actual wireless router, then connect instantly. Is there a setting to increase that will allow longer time trying to obtain an IP?
I am using the same SSID for roaming, but am using different channels (1, 6, 11) for the overlap. See diagram below. Not sure if this has some impact?

Jan 29, 2013I am setting up a new Guest network with a captive portal and it seems to all work fine except when Apple devices go to sleep. When they come back on it isn't just a case of logging in again as it just indicates to the client that it is still connected and won't present the login page again. The Controller will show the client as auth required. So far the quickest way has been for me to delete the network on iPads and re-enter my settings or create a new profile on a Macbook and join again. I have also had some success when doing a manual DHCP refresh on my Macbook which sometimes seems to kick the Controller into action so it presents the login page to the client again. Whether it is related to the timers on the Controller (5508 running code 7.0.235.3) or - as I just read in another post by Leo - the 20 minute timeout that all Apple devices have built in to conserve battery life

Jul 20, 2011I'm trying to test fast roaming using a Cisco 2100 Series controller and 2 1140 APs. The initial authentication succeeds fine and the wireless connection works ok using WPA2+CCKM and LEAP with a Cisco ACS radius server.The problem is that the client does not attempt to preauthenticate with the other AP because the RSN Capabilities IE in the AP beacons and probe responses do not set the RSN Preauthentication capable bit. I can't figure out what it takes to get the APs to indicate to clients that it can do preauthentication. I'm been crawling through all the documentation I can find, to no avail.

Mar 10, 2011I currently use a device called the Access Enforcer which runs OpenBSD. I have 3 stable, working VPN tunnel's where the other side's device is a Cisco ASA 5520 or 5540. I was setting up my 4th VPN where the other side used a Cisco ASA 5520 and ran into issue's. The Cisco side can bring up the tunnel. Once the tunnel is up each side can talk to the other side. However, when the tunnel is dropped, the OpenBSD side cannot bring up the tunnel. The error received is on the OpenBSD device is "isakmpd[29581]: transport_send_messages: giving up on exchange from-XX.X.X.0/24-to-XX.XXX.XXX.240, no response from peer XX.XX.XXX.141:4500". I have been trying to figure this out for weeks now and can't seem to find the cause.

Dec 5, 2011I am trying to configure a 3750G that has been sitting on the shelf for several months and am getting the following error -
% Error: Unable to create flash:/microcode_update% Error: It must not already exist
Normally, getting an error during POST isnt a good thing. My first thought was that flash was corrupted or flagged RO somehow. I did fsck flash: with no change. I next tried fsck /test flash:. It tested 77 blocks and performed 0 erasures. It had been running for about 15 minutes with no problems reported so far. Multiple reboots of the switch still report the same error.
I have reviewed the history of what I have done on this switch and finally think I found the problem. I noticed a microcode_update directory that I am not used to see on a 3750. Deleted the directory using the rmdir command and rebooted the switch. On reboot, I noticed that a front_end/ directory was listed as being created as well as fe_type_1 and fe_type_2 were created. The switch now boots up without any errors.

Jan 3, 2013I have two Cisco Aironets 1401 connected to a Cisco Catalyst 3560 Switch. When users log onto the Wifi the APs authenticate with a Freeradius that then authenticates with LDAP.
Recently users have been getting kicked off of the network but I'm not sure why.If so how do I set these APs to roam with my setupd?For all I know there could be an issue with the switch I'm just not sure where to start when it comes to troubleshooting this issue.

Dec 29, 2012Guys I am using a cisco 2911 router with three interfaces: Gi0/0 connected through a switch to all my servers and Gi0/2 which will connect to another server, and Gi0/1 is my outside interface connecting through a switch to two ISP's.I have webservers and Terminal servers/File Servers with 10.0.0.0 network address connected throught My Gi0/0 interface.Now I want to implement a Cisco Advanced firewall for security on my router using CCP.I want the firewall to work such that it allows external users to access the servers on Gi0/0 through ports 0,23,25,20,21,53, 110,3389. and to access the SIP server on Gi0/2. My issue is can i just create two DMZ's for both interface Gi0/0 and Gi0/2 without creating an inside zone and Gi0/1 as outside zone as my internal traffic is mostly server based and the users connect remotely through terminal server to access resourcess using RDP, secondly how do I open the relevant ports.I have checked alot and all I have seen is just basic process on using the wizard I have no idea how to go about this issue.
