I am trying to configure an ASA 5505 with a username and password. I set all the pass words: [code]
When I reload the device it prompts me for the username, then the password and it fails and just asks for the username again. I have even tried to delete the username / password combo but it still prompts me for it. When I do password recovery the confreg is 0x00000001.
I configure Easy vpn on ASA 5510. it is working everything is ok. How can i configure vpn client without username and password?

View 2 Replies View RelatedRunning 7.0.220. There are several 'unknown' users every day reported in WCS. Investigating the connections on the WLC I find the clients are in a run state and passing traffic but there is no username listed on the client detail. (hence the unknown on WCS)

Clients in this state are usually Apple products. From initial investigation it looks like the do authenticate with the ACS. r debugs to run, or fixes on the WLC? Perhaps there's a bug on this behavior?
how to set up support 802.11n on WLC4404 or WLC5508 in the 2.4Ghz? WLC4404 supports 802.11n? or support this protocol only in the brochures? I spent a few days, but did not get the result. I'm connected at speeds 65/130Mbit, but the real speed tests never exceeded 45Mbit. The AP from the test laptop is 7-10 meters.I tested the laptops with a Linksys AP E1200-EE ( 40Mhz, FastEthernet uplink port...)and received nearly 100Mbit!
At WLC5508 able to connect at speeds 150/300Mbit/c but only in the 5GHz band, but real speed tests never exceeded 70Mbit.In 2.4Ghz range I connected at speeds of 130/144Mbit/c, but actual measurements showed no more than the 45Mbit.
All tested with iperf and with site speedtest.net.

I am having a problem configuring SCEP for my secure mobility client. I have created a connection profile to allow certificate requests but when I fill in the step-forwarding-url field I get an error. The CA we are using is an internal MS CA with SCEP already enabled. I have a Cisco Wireless Router, Model # WRT160N. I had initally installed it to a laptop. I have a new PC which I am trying to install it to. Unfortunately, when I installed it to the laptop, I put in a new Username and Password. When I tried to install it to the PC, it gets to point of trying to read the router and then gives me the error message "Needs Factory installed Username and Password". I have a Cisco Aironet 1100 series access point (AP1120B) that after resetting to factory defaults the default username and password (Cisco and Cisco) aren't working in the web GUI. I am able to telnet to the AP's IP and log in with Cisco and Cisco but don't know the ENABLE password. I have tried Cisco and cisco and everything else i could think of with no luck.
I also have a Cisco Aironet AP1242AG that is doing the same thing.
I am resetting my Aironet 1231-G access points and cannot access the default username and password. Here is the information I am getting on the Console. I reset getting the amber light. Recently I have purchased two brand new wap4410n access points.
I have connected my computer directly to one of the access points, and attempted to connect to the Web Configuration utility through my web browser.
I'm using a: 09' MacBook Pro, running Snow Leopard and Safari 5.
I can access the login screen of the access point, although when I enter the default username: admin and password admin, the login screen returns an error: Invalid username and/or password (or something to that effect). The URL changes to: http://192.168.1.245/login.htm&no=3.
I have reset the device by holding in the reset button for thirty seconds, powered down, powered up and re-attempted to login.
I still get the same error as above.
I have attempted to access the Web Configuration utility on both access points, and both access points provide the same error. I have also tried using the username: cisco and password: cisco.
Cisco, when contacted, said both access points must be faulty and I should replace them.
The probability of such an occurrence happening with two devices seems very low, and leads me to think there must be other factors at play. The only constant I can think of is the fact I'm using the same computer to access the devices.
I have a 5508 WLC running 6.0.202.0. It functions as the Anchor Controller for the guest network. It sits in our Internet DMZ and is isolated from the rest of the network. It does not connect to AD, ACS, etc. The guest wireless WLAN is configured for Web Policy - Authentication. I have a customized login page. Credential management is done by WCS.
Users are connecting to the guest wireless network and entering their creds with no issues using mobile devices (iPad, etc). Then the mobile device goes to sleep / turns off and when they go to use it again, they have to type their creds in again. They dont like retyping their creds throughout the day.
good way mitigate the multiple logins? Something like a 'save password' option on the customized page?

I have installed a new SSL certificate on our ASA 5500. I removed the old one, installed the new one. And associated the trust points with the interface we use for Web Connect and Any Connect connections.
They are still seeing the old expired certificates. Users can still log in and authenticate but I would rather them see the correct certificate.
