Cisco :: 5508 WLC / Guest Wireless - Redirect Page - Username / Password

I have a 5508 WLC running 6.0.202.0. It functions as the Anchor Controller for the guest network. It sits in our Internet DMZ and is isolated from the rest of the network. It does not connect to AD, ACS, etc. The guest wireless WLAN is configured for Web Policy - Authentication. I have a customized login page. Credential management is done by WCS.
Users are connecting to the guest wireless network and entering their creds with no issues using mobile devices (iPad, etc). Then the mobile device goes to sleep / turns off and when they go to use it again, they have to type their creds in again. They dont like retyping their creds throughout the day.
good way mitigate the multiple logins? Something like a 'save password' option on the customized page?

I have ASA 5510 with CSC-SSM-10 .ASA 5510 IOS version- 8.4.2 and CSC-SSM-10 IOS version 6.6.1162.Web filtering is working fine with respective to my configuration.From yesterday morning, i was facing issue with the sites like gmail, webmail.After giving credentials like username and password in the web page, the page is not resonding.In troubleshooting process, i removed all the acls, class maps which will direct all the traffic towards the CSC. In this scenario all my mail service sites are opening.If we apply the these ACLs and Class-Maps, only my mail service sites only affecting.

We’re currently using 5508 WLC’s and leveraging Cisco ISE for radius/authentication rule sets.I’m trying to get a splash page to flash and then redirect to a website after a successful authentication to an SSID. Everything on the wireless side works with no splash page (users connect to SSID,authenticate with AD credentials using 802.1X PEAP to our Cisco ISE box, and gain access to the network).When I enable ‘Splash Page Web Redirect’ on the WLC (under L3 security), I’m unclear on the ISE box where I set this up. When I look in the Cisco documention it says:Splash Page Web Redirect—If you select this option, the user is redirected to a particular web page after 802.1X authentication successfully completes. After the redirect, the user has full access to the network. You can specify the splash web page on your RADIUS server. How I specify this on the ISE box? Or am I totally off base?

I've been asked to create 2 wireless networks for guest access. They are to be used by clients of 2 different companies and they have asked for the website of each company to automatically open as a landing page. e.g.
-WLAN1 - password is companyname1 - landing page = www.companyname1.com
-WLAN2 - password is companyname2 - landing page = www.companyname2.com
Is this possible with our 5508 WLC? I have googled it and can see that you can set a web auth page but I need different landing pages depending on which WLAN is connected to.

I want to setup a webpage for my guest network (no authentication) users. When the client connects to the open guest network and upon opening a browser they would be directed to a survey that I would like them to take, if they don't want to take it they can begin browsing to other sites without issue. How do I do this on a my 5508 WLC?

When a guest user first trys to access the "guest" WLAN, they are presented with a "certificate page" before the web athentication page / login is presented. The WLC forces an internal redirect to https://1.1.1.1 causing the certificate page to appear. Can this be bypassed? I am runiing 5508 with 7.0.220.0.

I'm moving from an 1801W to an SRP547.My adsl supplier (BT) has given me a username and password, and also a router IP address, a subnet and an gateway IP address. I have 13 fixed IP addresses. I don't speak cisco, so I'm using the built in interface to configure it.If i choose IPoA I can enter the IP settings. If I choose PPPoA I can enter the username and password.I do not see anyway I can enter both the IP settings and the username + password on the WAN configuration page.

i see there is an option to "allow password change" or "force password change" for guest roles in the NGS. But when i created a guest account using this guest role, after webauthentication , there is no prompt to change password. Is this the intended behaviour or is there anything else that i need to configure. Looking at it, i am not sure how the NGS would allow a "guest user" to really overwrite the password by allowing password change. ? is that not a security risk as well for the NGS ? my setup has 5508 anchor controller and NGS communicating via RADIUS.

We need to create Guest WLAN on WLC 5508 which will be used for internet access only. My questions are:
1. Is it possible to use our external web proxy server to authenticate users?
2. Can we also forward all traffic to the external web proxy to filter the websites that can be accessed (without configuring it on the browser)?
3. Can this be achieved using the L3 webauth?
Our topology:
WLC -- Switch -- ASA Firewall -- Internet -- External Web Proxy
We are using WLC as DHCP server for Guest WLAN with ASA Firewall as the gateway.

I have an open SSID on 5508 controllers - configured as anchors and need to redirect wireless clients to the wireless help page automatically once they have connected and opened their browser.I've read all through the web auth and pass through discussions on here but nothing seems to be quiet right for me - unless I am completely missing something.

I have a problem with a customer of mine. We have deployed two new WLC5508 running r7.0.116.0 and AP1142s, also WCS with r7.0.172. When we setup a "Guest Access" we ran into trouble.The problem is that we can associate to the SSID/AP and get an ip-adress. I we manually replace "cisco6a19c4" with 1.1.1.1 it works as it should, the login page appears, we login and can access the internet.We have tested and disabled web-auth on the ssid an everything works, we can directly go out on the internet, DNS works without any problems. [code]Guest network (VLAN) is transfered from WLC via the trunk to the Cat4503 and then connected on a access-port to a separate broadband-router, then to the inetrnet.DHCP to guest-users from separate broadband-router which is def gwy and "DNS".On the virtual interfaces no hostname is configured.

I been using my mechanics Wifi connection with my internal wireless adapter for at least 6 months. Living next door he has a guest Wifi connection for his customers that requires a password. I only had to use the password once and since then it has automatically connected. I recently purchased a usb wirless adapter with an antenna to get a better signal and it connects to the server but the login access page will not display nor will it connect to the internet. With this I get error 102.

Is it possible to change the look of welcome page (guest login) to change so that it is personal. Of course it would be great if the guests have to log on your personal page.On this page you would be able to indicate the rules and and limitations. It would also be a good option for certain that your guests a limited time duration for the connection and gives max download. This would also be found to be in a log.

I have a Cisco Wireless Router, Model # WRT160N. I had initally installed it to a laptop. I have a new PC which I am trying to install it to. Unfortunately, when I installed it to the laptop, I put in a new Username and Password. When I tried to install it to the PC, it gets to point of trying to read the router and then gives me the error message "Needs Factory installed Username and Password". I went to the IP site and tried to see where I could delete my Username and Password and reinstall the Factory defaults but cannot locate it.

I have a problem with my linksys WRT54GL router. I entered here [URL] and i set it up, i can connect to internet on my PC and wireless works great but i can't set wireless password and name. When i go to the wireless tab, i write the new name but when i hit seve setting i get disconnected from internet. I try to go to status and click on Connect tab, when is connected internet works but the name and the password of the wireless that i set earlier is reset to default. I am trying to figure out my WEP code to use to connect to XBOX LIVE. To log on to my internet we just have a WPA-Personal I think, so I have been trying to sign into my router to hopefully obtain my WEP key there, but cannot sign in. I have tried every combination of usernames and passwords such as:

I have a Cisco Aironet 1100 series access point (AP1120B) that after resetting to factory defaults the default username and password (Cisco and Cisco) aren't working in the web GUI. I am able to telnet to the AP's IP and log in with Cisco and Cisco but don't know the ENABLE password. I have tried Cisco and cisco and everything else i could think of with no luck.
I also have a Cisco Aironet AP1242AG that is doing the same thing.

I am resetting my Aironet 1231-G access points and cannot access the default username and password. Here is the information I am getting on the Console. I reset getting the amber light. Attempt to use Cisco as the Username and Password. It replies that authentication fails with the below log information.

Recently I have purchased two brand new wap4410n access points.
I have connected my computer directly to one of the access points, and attempted to connect to the Web Configuration utility through my web browser.
I'm using a: 09' MacBook Pro, running Snow Leopard and Safari 5.
I can access the login screen of the access point, although when I enter the default username: admin and password admin, the login screen returns an error: Invalid username and/or password (or something to that effect). The URL changes to: http://192.168.1.245/login.htm&no=3.
I have reset the device by holding in the reset button for thirty seconds, powered down, powered up and re-attempted to login.
I still get the same error as above.
I have attempted to access the Web Configuration utility on both access points, and both access points provide the same error. I have also tried using the username: cisco and password: cisco.
Cisco, when contacted, said both access points must be faulty and I should replace them.
The probability of such an occurrence happening with two devices seems very low, and leads me to think there must be other factors at play. The only constant I can think of is the fact I'm using the same computer to access the devices.
