Cisco Wireless :: Aironet 1100 Default Username And Password Not Working?

Aug 17, 2011

I have a Cisco Aironet 1100 series access point (AP1120B) that after resetting to factory defaults the default username and password (Cisco and Cisco) aren't working in the web GUI.  I am able to telnet to the AP's IP and log in with Cisco and Cisco but don't know the ENABLE password. I have tried Cisco and cisco and everything else i could think of with no luck.

I also have a Cisco Aironet AP1242AG that is doing the same thing.

Cisco Wireless :: Connect Aironet 1231G To 3G Hotspot

Jul 13, 2012

Where I live there is no DLS or cable to probide me with Interent access so I use my Verizon 3G/4G smart phone (Android) as a hotspot.  Right now I am using an old Vista PC and ICS (Internet Connection Sharing) to provide Interent connectivity to my home network and Cisco lab.  This works fine but I must have my smart phone near the PC for it to work.  When I go to other rooms, I end up missing calls and texts since I have t oleave the phone if it is providing Inerent access at that time.  If I can get the Airnet's to connect to the hot spot AND provide Internet access, that will provide me additional mobility.  This would also be good for small businesses as a backup Internet Connection.

Is there any way that I could elimanate the Vista PC and have my Aironet 1231G Wireless router(s) automatically connect to my phone's 3G hotspot to provide Internet access to my lan?

I have 2 Airnoet 1231G's running the c1200-k9w7-mx.123-7.ja  IOS and a C3550XL layer 3 switch.

Cisco Wireless :: Wap4410n - Access Point Rejects The Username And Password

Jun 25, 2010

Recently I have purchased two brand new wap4410n access points.

I have connected my computer directly to one of the access points, and attempted to connect to the Web Configuration utility through my web browser.

I'm using a: 09' MacBook Pro, running Snow Leopard and Safari 5.

I can access the login screen of the access point, although when I enter the default username: admin and password admin, the login screen returns an error: Invalid username and/or password (or something to that effect). The URL changes to: http://192.168.1.245/login.htm&no=3.

I have reset the device by holding in the reset button for thirty seconds, powered down, powered up and re-attempted to login.

I still get the same error as above.

I have attempted to access the Web Configuration utility on both access points, and both access points provide the same error. I have also tried using the username: cisco and password: cisco.

Cisco, when contacted, said both access points must be faulty and I should replace them.

The probability of such an occurrence happening with two devices seems very low, and leads me to think there must be other factors at play. The only constant I can think of is the fact I'm using the same computer to access the devices.

Wireless :: Username / Password Required For External Hard Drive Access

Aug 26, 2012

I am looking to get access to an external hard drive that I have set up on my wireless network.When I try to do an automated Windows backup (off my Vista based laptop files) on to an external hard drive which is connected to my wireless network (through a Belkin router) I am being asked for a user name and password to access the connected hard drive on the network. The thing is that I don't remember setting up a username and password for the hard drive at all. I can paste single files mannually onto the external hard drive without being asked for a username and password. I did perform an automated Windows backup off my other Windows 7 laptop and was not ask for a username and password. where to find the username and password information ?

Protocols / Routing :: DI-524 Can't Access Username / Password Field

Jun 26, 2012

I did not know the username and password for my DI-524 so I wanted to do a reset...used a paper clip and held the reset button for ten seconds, unplugged it, powered it up, and as per online instructions tried to type in 192.168.0.1 to access the username and password field so that I could enter "admin" and blank password. Here's where my lack of knowledge comes in. I am working off a MacBook with no Ethernet connection, just wifi. Is what I am trying to do even possible? Or does the computer I configure the router with have to be hardwired to the Internet while I do it?

Linksys Cable / DSL :: Cannot Access Username And Password On WAG160N

Aug 3, 2009

I cannot access the Username and password on my WAG160N - the ones I thought were correct do not accepted, nor are the quoted 'defaults'.I have tried holding down 'reset' for 30 secs; I have tried powercycling the router after and during this; I have tried 'resetting' with the phone and ethernet connections unplugged. This is NOT returning the machine to the default settings - and neither is it 'wiping' the existing settings for my ISP.The amusing thing is - it works perfectly well, but I can't alter my security settings and I can't alter other settings if I change my ISP (as I was intending to do).

Cisco :: 1231G - Devices Not Prompting For New Password

Oct 4, 2011

I am having an issue with my Cisco 1231G access points. When I make a password change on either SSID I am broadcasting, any device I try to reconnect to the network on will not prompt for the new password. It will just say unable to connect to whatever network. The 1231G AP is using the 12.8 (8) JEA IOS version. I have had Apple, Android, and windows laptops all not ask to enter a new password. It's like the device is not recognizing that it has changed. Is this an IOS bug or a setting I have to check. I can attach a configuration if necessary.

Cisco :: 5508 WLC / Guest Wireless - Redirect Page - Username / Password

Feb 19, 2012

I have a 5508 WLC running 6.0.202.0. It functions as the Anchor Controller for the guest network. It sits in our Internet DMZ and is isolated from the rest of the network. It does not connect to AD, ACS, etc. The guest wireless WLAN is configured for Web Policy - Authentication. I have a customized login page. Credential management is done by WCS.

Users are connecting to the guest wireless network and entering their creds with no issues using mobile devices (iPad, etc). Then the mobile device goes to sleep / turns off and when they go to use it again, they have to type their creds in again. They dont like retyping their creds throughout the day.

good way mitigate the multiple logins? Something like a 'save password' option on the customized page?

Now I simply logged out and when i tried logging in, it is asking for a username. Now the thing is that I had not programmed any username. I tried using just "." followed by my secret password, but it did not work.
