After then, I could not access the router via browser with 192.168.1.1 at URL entry. My PC IPv4 setup: 192.168.1.11; subnet=255.255.255.0.But, ping 192.168.1.1 from PC was OK without packet loss. So router was restored with 192.168.1.1 and cable connection was OK.

Its autonomous so there is no controller. I renamed the config.txt file I am unable to rename or delete the private-config file. I get the message that file or directory cannot be found when i try to rename and permission denied when I try to delete it.
We have an AIR-LAP1142N-E-K9 deployed in a H-REAP setup.This AP already got the configuration from the WLC when it was deployed at a remote site.Now we moved it to another site, but it doesn't appear in the WCS and i don't see any CAPWAP debug messages on the WLC.The routing work fine between the AP and the WLC, the AP also gets an IP address from DHCP and also received Option 43 information.
Now my guess was that the AP doesn't associate with the WLC because it has the old config file and it runs in local mode(without trying to connect to the WLC).We want to reset to factory defaults because we want to delete the configuration and force the AP to get a new config from the WCS.I don't know the enable password so i had to use other methods for reseting to factory defaults.
I tried to use the information from here:[URL]I used the "MODE button":I get the following message from the console:
"button pressed for 5 seconds
process_config_recovery: set IP address and config to default 10.0.0.1"

prompt, the reset instructions that Cisco provides says that I should rename the old config.txt and reboot and that I will then be able to start my reconfig. The problem is that I can't find a config.txt file in the flash space:

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a WRV210-A V01 (Software: 2.0.1.5) router that when originally purchased I upgraded the firmware to the newest 2.0.1.5. However after the firmware upgrade the router has not worked right since. [I thought maybe the upgrade did not take, and successfully pushed the firmware 3x times]
Everytime you login to the webpage the right-side pane you have to scroll down 3x pages until you can see the settings options. It does that for everypage you visit you have to scroll down 3x pages until you can see the settings.
The wireless is sporadic and dropping connections, and now certain options like changing the "Basic Rate:" from "All' to "Default" does nothing and wont let you change it.
The main issue I have is that certain wireless settings like changing the "AP Isolation:" cause the router to reset back to factory defaults. and even trying to configure the LAN setup also randomly makes the router reset to factory default.

The 1231 is currently registered as a LAP to a 4400 WLC and I'm in the process of moving away from this controller to the new one. I've pasted the output of the error messages I'm getting below. At this point, I'm stuck and not sure how to get around the "Failed to parse CAPWAP packet" error.
I'm getting these messages when I have:

I initially got this error, but got passed it when I allowed SSC in the 5508 (Security -> AP Policies)

I have configure my AP with to SSID (11 & 12), but I cannot connect to 12. It authenticates, and while trying to acquire IP address from 12, it fails and connects me to 11 (if I have already saved the SSID connection).

The SSID 12 already have 4 clients connected, And I am tring to connect a 5th one (smart phone), but cannot connect to 12, instead coneected to 11. Also tried with a laptop, but cant get the IP address, and give Limited Connectivity error.
I have two 1231G Aironet's that work correctly when I connect them to my Catalyst 3548XL and my 3550-48-XL switches. When I connect them to the 3550-24-PWR switch I do see them when I issue sh cdp nei det. It shows me the IP of the wireless router. But when I ping the Aironet, I do not get any replies. If I plug the Aironet into my 3548XL and ping the IP, I get 5 replies. Here is the port config on both switches:

I am the owner of an Asus N53SV series laptop running windows 7 home premium. I factory reset my PC in order to have a "fresh" new year, but now I can only connect to the wireless internet in my house using the ethernet cable. When the cable is unplugged, no networks show up for my laptop. I tried going to this link: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. -Support- Drivers and Download N53SV I downloaded the first wireless driver listed...and it gave me an error that just said "error azureware wireless lan driver"....not a very informative error.

I dont have physical access to it and the old WLC has long been decommissioned. I have tried the clear command but since it is in CAPWAP mode that command has been disabled. I know I can press and hold the mode button and reset it that way but I need to know if its possible through SSH to be reset. View 3 Replies View RelatedI currently have 2 cisco aironet 1121G access points. Both of which I believe had an image fail during an upgrade from autonomous mode to lightweight mode. I have tried to reset these access points as directed from Cisco's instructions. I have done a reset (amber light on the middle) and a factory restore (red light in the middle) They go through the steps to restore to factory default, however, after what I believe is an attempt to pull a dhcp address before defaulting into 10.0.0.1 ip address, the access point restarts. This is happening to both of them. After they reset and go through the series of memory tests, I am able to get all three solid green lights, they stay lit for just 15 seconds (rather than 5 minutes so that i can load a new image) I am not sure why they are behaving this way. I have tried as many different possibilities resetting with the mode button. There is no console port on this model of access points so i am unable to manage it otherwise.

I have read numerous documents no how to clear the config and password but so far nothing has worked. I can get it into ap: mode but not sure what to enter here. When I do a dir there doesnt seem to be any files. It will pull an IP address via the local router but cannot communicate with WLC.
