Cisco Wireless :: AIR-LAP1142N-E-K9 / Reset To Factory Default Doesn't Work On 1142 AP

Jul 5, 2010

We have an AIR-LAP1142N-E-K9  deployed in a H-REAP setup. This AP already got the configuration from the WLC when it was deployed at a remote site. Now we moved it to another site, but it doesn't appear in the WCS and i don't see any CAPWAP debug messages on the WLC.The routing work fine between the AP and the WLC, the AP also gets an IP address from DHCP and also received Option 43 information.
Now my guess was that the AP doesn't associate with the WLC because it has the old config file and it runs in local mode(without trying to connect to the WLC).We want to reset to factory defaults because we want to delete the configuration and force the AP to get a new config from the WCS.I don't know the enable password so i had to use other methods for reseting to factory defaults.
I tried to use the information from here:[URL]I used the "MODE button":I get the following message from the console:

"button pressed for 5 seconds
process_config_recovery: set IP address and config to default"

Cisco Wireless :: Aironet 1142 Reset To Default

Aug 4, 2012

I have a 1142 that I purchased that needs to be set to factory defaults so that I can configure it. I do an escape at the boot sequence and I get to the
prompt, the reset instructions that Cisco provides says that I should rename the old config.txt and reboot and that I will then be able to start my reconfig. The problem is that I can't find a config.txt file in the flash space:
Directory of flash:/

Cisco Routers :: WRV210-A V01 Reset To Factory Default?

Oct 30, 2011

I have a WRV210-A V01 (Software: router that when originally purchased I upgraded the firmware to the newest However after the firmware upgrade the router has not worked right since. [I thought maybe the upgrade did not take, and successfully pushed the firmware 3x times]
Everytime you login to the webpage the right-side pane you have to scroll down 3x pages until you can see the settings options. It does that for everypage you visit you have to scroll down 3x pages until you can see the settings.
The wireless is sporadic and dropping connections, and now certain options like changing the "Basic Rate:" from "All' to "Default" does nothing and wont let you change it.
The main issue I have is that certain wireless settings like changing the "AP Isolation:" cause the router to reset back to factory defaults. and even trying to configure the LAN setup also randomly makes the router reset to factory default.

Slow Internet - Reset To Windows Default Settings Feature Which Does Not Work?

Jun 22, 2011

So just recently my Internet has been running a lot slower than normal at different times of the day (completely random, could be fine for hours then just turns slow). I know it's not the Internet itself, since it's only happening on my computer, and none others in the house - and I'm far from capped. I've run AVG, Spybot & Malwarebytes' scans and have found no infections of any kind. I've run TCP Optimizer and used the "reset to windows default settings" feature, which also hasn't worked one bit. I've tried different Ethernet cables and different plugs in the modem and no improvement.

WRT54GL - Default Route In Quagga Doesn't Work If Specified Using Interface Rather Than Address

Apr 4, 2013

I have the following zebra.conf on my router box "A":

hostname nuclear-router
password password
enable password password
interface eth0
ip address

eth0 is connected to a switch and contains the range, and A is connected to my WRT54GL "B" (with IP, containing range, DHCP serves IPs above .100) wirelessly. B is connected directly to my DSL modem.

The problem is that when I specify the default route using the interface name, I can't connect to the internet from A or any hosts behind it - I'm always hit with a "no route to host" error. Name lookup and pinging any local host (even in a different range) or the DSL modem works fine - it's only when going beyond the modem that things stop working. However, when I use the IP of B as the gateway, it works fine. I noticed that route output on A when the default route was specified using the interface alone had only an asterisk in the gateway column. I was under the impression that these approaches should be identical in practice, so though I got it working, I'd like to know what I'm misunderstanding (and/or misconfiguring). Why didn't the default route work when specified using just the interface?

All routers and the modem too have RIP (version 2) enabled, and of course the password isn't really the word "password".

Cisco Wireless :: 1121G Steps To Restore To Factory Default

Oct 11, 2012

I currently have 2 cisco aironet 1121G access points. Both of which I believe had an image fail during an upgrade from autonomous mode to lightweight mode. I have tried to reset these access points as directed from Cisco's instructions. I have done a reset (amber light on the middle) and a factory restore (red light in the middle) They go through the steps to restore to factory default, however, after what I believe is an attempt to pull a dhcp address before defaulting into ip address, the access point restarts. This is happening to both of them. After they reset and go through the series of memory tests, I am able to get all three solid green lights, they stay lit for just 15 seconds (rather than 5 minutes so that i can load a new image) I am not sure why they are behaving this way. I have tried as many different possibilities resetting with the mode button. There is no console port on this model of access points so i am unable to manage it otherwise.
