Sep 19, 2012I'm having problems with a cisco switch WS-C2960-24TC-L version 12.2 (50) SE5. every night the equipment goes down, and every morning around 8am comes up.
I know it comes up at 8am because at that time I arrive at my workplace and see the alarm that the switch did not backup the config. ip using his web page and see what's up for a few minutes.
but I never could discover what time vai below. is there any way to see?? with the command show logging don't appear the hoursthat came down...he was only following the hours that he came up ...

Apr 23, 2013I have a C2960-24TT-L Switch with the following problem:When the Power Cord is plugged in the Switch, all switch indicator LEDs go on very briefly. Then SYST LED blinks very briefly, goes on steady and remains at this state without any indication at the console.Tried the reset by holding the MODE button while plugging in power but I still get no indication at the console. All is fine with console, meaning that if I take out the cable and plug it in another switch, then I see all that there is there to be seen.My question: Is the switch beyond repair or is there something that can be done to get the switch to run POST and boot at rommon so that I can reload SW and configs?

It is trunking properly, however, how would I go about giving the sw02 an IP so that I can access it via SSH? Would I have to create a VLAN specifically on sw02 with an ip and switchport an interface to use it? I know that a VLAN can only have a single IP, but I'd like sw02 to have an IP on VLAN1 (192.168.1.0 subnet), is that possible?

Nov 8, 2011I upgraded the newest IOS 15.0(1)SE for our SW C2960-24-TT-L, the process was succeseful. However, we found SW memory utilization raised to 82% this morning in normal situation. (Momery: Total 21341260, Used17471692) Did you guys meet the same problem after upgrading to 15.0(1)SE? I also would like to know what the normal memory utilization is? and what is the impact of memory utilization highly?

Jun 24, 2009in a customer project we are evaluating if it's possible to connect from cisco ios switches via "ssh -l <user> <ip address>" to an enterasys n series dfe modul which is running a ssh server v2.
Unfortunately this doesn't work as expected, every connection attempt is resetted.We did a trace of the ssh connection attempt where you can see that there is some problem in the algorithm negotiation (see attachment).

Apr 5, 2012I'm troubleshooting one way audio with our anyconnect phones.I think it is a routing issue.typically I wouldnt run debug ip packet detail on a production router, however I just found out that you can use acl's to specify the traffic to be debugged.

Some parameters i can get by snmp (InBytes,InUcastPkts,InMcastPkts, and so on from out), but how can i take other parameters? I would like to do it by snmp but i did not find proper oids. Now I making a sheme like this: eem every 90 seconds takes this info and writes it down to file into nvram and then send it by scp to server, where file is processed by monitoring system script. It is not very good, cause cisco system cpu sometimes spikes of this and i dont know a resourse of nvram, how much times can i write to it?

Mar 12, 2013I am trying to configure RSPAN for one of my client. They have Server-Client VTP architecture. Voice Recording Server is connected to C4507. Agents are connected to C2960 and C3750. I got 2 sessions configured and the connectivity is a as follows:
1. Voice Recording Server-----C4507-----C2960-----C2960-----Agent IP Phones (Session 1)
2. Voice Recording Server-----C4507-----C3750-----Agent IP Phones (Session 2)
Recording works with Session-2 but not with Session-1. I understand the problem could be due to multiple reasons: 1.1. C2960 is working in client VTP mode so i cannot add remote span command under the vlan configuration. 1.2. C2960 has LANLITE IOS image which i am not sure if it supports Remote Span.

Is it as simple as using the Users and Passwords options?What privledge level should i assign to these accounts so that it will give the least amount of previledge required to tag ports.
