Cisco :: WS C2960G 24TC-L Not Booting To New IOS?

I'm somewhat new to networking so bare w/ me if I get some of the verbiage incorrect. We are trying to upgrade our 2960G's to a new version of code (c2960-lanbasek9-mz.150-1.SE.bin).After doing:switch(config)#boot system c2960-lanbasek9-mz.150-1.SE.binand a write mem, we did a reload, but the new version didn't take. We realized that the boot loader version is too old to accept this newer IOS. Here is the how version output:[CODE]

I have a user named "testuser" and trying to authenticate from the xp computer but fails to authenticate. The ACS logs says that authentication failed, the user is in the local database but why it fails to authenticate?

I'm having problems with a cisco switch WS-C2960-24TC-L version 12.2 (50) SE5. every night the equipment goes down, and every morning around 8am comes up.
I know it comes up at 8am because at that time I arrive at my workplace and see the alarm that the switch did not backup the config. ip using his web page and see what's up for a few minutes.
but I never could discover what time vai below. is there any way to see?? with the command show logging don't appear the hoursthat came down...he was only following the hours that he came up ...

I configured an Etherchannel two interfaces (Gi0/37 and Gi0/39) in a CiscoWS-C2960G-48TC-L, which is connected to an HP Blade, where they spend 2vlan (16 and 17). The point is that they got these interfaces on a trial and upload these were in sleep mode produces the following log.
Sep 1 16:04:38.649:% EC-5-CANNOT_BUNDLE2: Gi0/37 is not Compatible with Po1 and Will be suspended (trunk mode of Gi0/37 is dynamic, is Po1 trunk)

I have seen this at two sites now: after migrating the site T1 to 10-Mbps Opt-E-MAN and replacing old 10/100 switches with 10/100/1000 switches, users frequently get http connection errors. The error goes away if the user reloads the page--sometimes they have to reload more than once. They never had this problem before.I thought it was due to the large number of 5-port desktop switches infesting the networks (I'm getting rid of them as fast as I can) but it happens even on a PC directly connected to one of the new GigE switches. It does not happen when accessing internal web pages. It looks like a DNS failure -- but nothing has changed in our DNS setup, except that users have a fatter pipe to our DNS servers.

I have two WS-C2960-24TC-L Switch with Software Ver 12.2(25r)SEE6 with image c2960-lanbase-mz.122-35.SE5.bin and 12.2(25r)SEE1 with image c2960-lanbase-mz.122-25.SEE2.bin currently on it.
I want to enable SSH connections on the switches and believe I need to import the cryto image onto the switch. I would like to upgrade it to new version that can also support ssh connection but not sure which image to download from cisco. The switches are now live.
System image file is "flash:c2960-lanbase-mz.122-35.SE5/c2960-lanbase-mz.122-35.SE5.bin"

I have a switch 2960-24TC-L with GEC (realised with 2 giga interface uplink) with switch 3750. the configuration is ok, the GEC is up and other feature working. I try to upgrade 2960-24TC-L from 12.2.44SE6 to 12.2.46 or 12.2.5x or 15.0.x...the upgrade it's ok the swithc boot..and the configuraiton is same.. but the giga 0/1 and 0/2 on 2960 not bring up....and the better the interface on 3750 are up.

I have couple C2960G and C3750. Is there any way to filter (on ingress port) type of traffic? I would like to allow IP only, and discard (i.e.) IPX, or other garbage, that any device can produce.I have tried to find something about this, but only thing I have found is feature : protocol filter, which doesn't seems to be working on my hardware.

I'm trying to configure the GigabitEthernet interface of the WS-C2960 switch to have a full duplex. Unfortunately, there is no option to configure this neither is the speed of that interface. But these options are present in FastEthernet ports. Is there a bug in SW version 12.2(35)SE5 that explains this abnormality?

A quick one because I'm scratching my head trying to figure the difference between the 2960 LAN Base and LAN Lite IOS installs. I want to put a 2960 into a site which has as layer 2 link on dark fiber taking it elsewhere. This part I'm not concerned about - the WS-C2960--24TC will do what I need without issue - but I don't know if I can get away with LAN Lite, or if I need LAN Base.
I basically need V LAN's with associated SVI's, and a routed link on the up link port (I don't care if it's a switch port with an associated SVI or a no switch port and IP address), but it's got to be able to run OSPF. Can I do this with LAN base on this series switch? Or do I need to go for a higher series (3560?). I *could* get away with static routes, but my boss is walking death on them unless I can 100% prove they're necessary, so I'd rather not right that fight!

I had a bad power surge yesterday that took out a 2960g switch and the APC UPS that it was connected too. when plugged in the fan comes on and the syst light stays amber and the rps, stat, duplex. and speed light stay lit and the port lights for ports 21-24 stay lit. plugging it into the console on boot I cant even see rommon, so i dont think its even booting. I would like to find a pinout and voltage guide for the connector comming off the power supply so I can check the voltages coming off the power supply to tell if it is a bad PSU or if it took out the main board.

i need to configure this switch in order to work first the 2 core switch for redundancy then each catalyst switch 2960 connected to the core with 2 uplink each uplink for each core switch that way i have rendundancy in the connection then i need one vlan ?i need to configure this switch to work perfectly with each other in best redundancy mode?

Two Cisco C2960G Switches connected with each other using an EtherChannel Trunk Ports.IOS Image has been upgraded to c2960-lanbasek9-mz. 122- 58.SE2.bin.The global command "sdm prefer lanbase-routing" has been executed to set the default template to "lanbase-routing".The global command "ip routing" has been executed to enable the ip routing.An IP route has been configured in each switch to point to each other for the static routing purpose (Please see the 2 attached configuration files) The hosts in VLAN 111 and VLAN 110 are not able to see each other even the ip static routes have been configured.May be I have misconfigured some settings but not sure what's the actual problem.

I have the following Pix 515E Firewall, that has been working good for a few years. But suddenly, the Pix stop booting up. The only thing that is happening is the power and network traffic led flashes and the active led is off. So my question is that is this symptom a hardware or software problem and is it fixable with either new parts; or is my firewall dead. I suspect that it is a hardware problem since the active led doesn't light up. I cann't even enter the ROM Moniter mode.
