Looking to set up a small office cheaply and quickly and was thinking about ordering a 2006 and some 1130s off EBay. Are the lightWeight 1130s compatible with the 2006?
View 9 Repliesi have lwapp 1130 in internal network , i already configure dhcp with option 43, in my switch connected to ap i set vlan 1424 for management AP and the ap got ip addres from dhcp server. The wlc controller is in DMZ with ip 10.222.5.3, from switch connected to ap i can ping 10.222.5.3 , it aslo seperated by cisco asa firewall, i already set allow from 0.0.0.0 to 10.222.5.3 udp port 5246-5247 and 12222-12223.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWe recently acquired a 4404 Cisco controller for our network and have been adding our 1200 and 1130 Access points to the controller.This was accomplished by upgrading the APs to LWAPP and then they would automatically be discovered by the controller and then join. Lately, new 1131 APs that have undergone the same process, are not joining the controller. They are discovered but then the close the connection. We are running a flat network so all devices are in the same subnet.Software Version of the controller 6.0.188.0. [code]

Well, the periphericals - clients connect to SSID AP no recieved I.P Adress, I think that is not possible active option DHCP server in AP 1130 dispositive. View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a customer whom has six LAP1131AG-K9 but no controller and they are interested in one of the new 2500 series, specifically a AIR-CT2504-5-K9 with a 5 AP add-on license to bring total AP capacity to 10. I can't determine clearly if this controller will work for these older AP's prior to them making the jump to 802.11n via the 3500 or 3600 series, looking to the community to confirm.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am struggling with the following issue. I have 6 1130 Accesspoints in lightweight mode connected to a 2106 wlan controller which runs software version 7.0.98.0. Everything seems to work fine. Clients can connect to the wifi network. However, they don't get an ip address from the dhcp server which is on the same subnet as the wlan controller. See attached screenshots for configuration. I have also tried the internal dhcp server of the wlan controller, but the same problem remains.
The logs says: Dropping primary discovery request from AP e8:b7:4x:xx:xx:xx - maximum APs joined 6/6 There are 6 AP's connected
If the 2600 series access points are compatible with a 4404 controller running 7.0.235.3 code? I was looking for a compatibilty matrix for the AP to controller to code comparison but couldn't find one.

- The AP has been changed LAP mode already
- AP-manager port and management port are PORT 4
- I have configured the WLC's "Internal DHCP server"...
When I plug the AP to WLC port 2 and 3, it can get the IP address from DHCP however, when I plug it to WLC port 1, it gets nothing. and the IP address is 0.0.0.0
Does it mean the port is damaged already? Or can I do anything to check or enable the port 1 again?
I have two 1252ag wireless access points running in lightweight mode, and connected to a 2006 wlc. They were both running fine until this morning. One of the 1252s won't stop rebooting itself. I consoled in, and this was the output -

I have Server 2008 R2 DC & One ISA server 2006 enterprise. im facing problem with DHCP unable to give DHCP IP from internal LAN. Its taking IP from External LAN IP i.e. connected to Linksys external Router which has DHCP enabled with different IP class i.e .class B. After shutdown client PC it will take 0.0.0.0 no IP will be assigned & says linited connectivity.

It have been commission for quite a long time. ie user able to connect and use it. its connect back to the controller to back in another campus. Below are the logs i gather.

Win7 64-bit.RunOnce exists in the registry and I even added everyone/full perms to it to make sure it wasn't a perms issue. (it seems everyone recommends checking this key exists)I've cleaned the system and the registry multiple time for anything AnyConnect related. The installation 'appears' to fail on the installation of the 64-bit virtual adapter

Any info on successfully resetting an light weight 1130 AP to the factory settings? I tried the method described in the doc for 1130 on how to reset 1130 AP to the default settings, but it was not successful. I tried shutdown the AP, and plug in the power while press and holding the Mode button for about 3 seconds.This AP has lost it association with the WLC, is there anyway i can reset the AP to factory default and put in the correct IP address again?

I have configured the WLC for power injectors with a 3550.
I have a lwapp 1130 here and it's no longer associated with the controller. I issued the clear lwapp private-config, it went through and cleared the config. Now when I try to issue the lwapp commands to set the ip and such i get ERROR!!! Command is disabled. I read that this means the static configuration is locked, but it did not say how to "unlock" it. how to get this re-enabled.

I've been trying to get this one going for 4 months now..it was knocked out during a power outage while upgrading it.
I want to be able to send snmp traps to my NMS alerting our NOC to when we reach our configured max-associations on an ap. We currently use both 1130 AG and 1140-2N in autonomous mode, no controller. I have found a debug command "debug dot11 station connection failure" and the output of a test AP shows us the fact that the maximum number was reached. I need to find if it is possible to trap on such information.

Since some time now the space has become really crowded with access points. 1 AP is on channel 5 and is almost unusable. The 2nd one on channel 11 has some APs to fight with and with smaller signall strenght.
I have been researching and read a bit about changing some access point parameters (RTS/CTS/timers) on a multi access point environment. I want to do that while waiting for 5GHz AP's (and because not all clients support 5GHz).
I find much document, but not found information about whether those support for IPv6 e.g. dual-stack like newer series.
