I have a project ahead and I need to clarify some things before starting this project. I will install a new WLC 5508 and I have 8 AIR-BR1310G-A-K9-R, so Im wondering if I can use them.
- Can this model be converted to LAP?, right now they are autonomous.
- I need to used them as AP not bridge and under the governance of a WLC. Could this be possible?
- The intention is to use them for outdoor operation. Should I use one or two outdoor antennas?.
- ANT-2506 could be a good choice?.
I have connected the AIR-BR1310G and one meter apart I installed a GPS antenna. When the AIR-BR1310G is up, the GPS stop detecting satellites. Using a spectrum analyzer I found that the AIR-BR1310G transmits a frequency of 1575 MHz along with the normal 2.4 GHz one. How can I eliminate this annoying 1575 MHz signal from the AIR-BR1310G?

If I repair, I get the error message "TCP/IP is not enabled". I tried enabling, reinstalling, I have tried every suggestion on this topic that I have found in other forums (running command, etc).

We have bought an 2504 Wireless Controller and now i want to download the newest Software, actually the Wireless Controller runs release 7.2.103. In the download section from Cisco i've found two "latest versions" the 7.0 with release date from 11.09.2012 and the other 7.3 with the release date 30.08.2012.
Now I'm a bit confused about this, because the higher release has an lower release date : Can you tell me the difference between this versions? and which version i should install?
We would like to install a wireless network throughout the station. Currently we have a wired network with 15 PC's and are looking at obtaining tablets for our squads and apparatus. The station is quite large and is divided by the vehicle bays.I'm thinking that we will need multiple access points throughout the station. I am familiar with setting up one wireless router but not with multiple access points.
I recently had to wipe (start all over again) my fathers PC as it become infected with a virus which I struggled to remove. When trying to set up the wireless connection via my virgin wireless manager I followed all the steps correctly until the last where it could not find my USB wireless adapter. I installed the latest software for the adapter from the netgear website but it will still not succesfully install the drivers fro the adapter.

I received a new 2504 today, I consoled on and powered it up. I see the boot sequence starting all the services. Unfortunately that's about all I can do - i try to terminate the Auto-install script but even pressing the Enter key has no effect. I can ping the 2504 but HTTP just times out. The console cable and terminal software are fine (I use them daily on a number of Cisco devices). I have done a factory reset but the same thing happens.
So, I'm thinking the unit needs to be RMA'd ?
This is what is on the current session :- [Code] ........

I just reinstalled XP on my Dell inspiron 1100. Everything works good expect I can't connect wireless to the internet. I use my Ethernet cable and everything works great. The wireless setting say's I'm connected with excellent strength, also I have an IP address. I went to disk management and check for conflicts and noticed the PCI modem was yellow. I was told to disable it because I don't use a modem so it should not be a problem.

I had a hard drive failure recently and replaced my HDD with an identical HDD (WD 500 AAKS) and did a restore from my WD Passport Essential. Everything works as before except I can't install my AE1000 wireless adapter. The OS recognizes the new hardware and I attempt instalation form the setup CD. Istallation goes until it gets to the "Installing" step and then it just stays there forever until it comes back with an error. I am accessing the internet now through a cat 5 ethernet hook-up.

I just got one of these to replace my old wrt54g. Seems to me a lot of people are flashing theirs with dd-wrt or openwrt. I was wondering why exactly. Unlike the old wrt54g, the tp-link stock firmware supports a lot of features in my view, especially the so wanted QOS. Do the CFW give the wr1043nd more stability or maybe better performance? Or is it about features? What features a CFW would add to the stock fw?
