I don't have any problem to connect to internet but when I want to connect to my work via VPN I can connect with only one of them If I want to connect with another computer I have to reset router and then connect. after each reset I can connect to VPN with only the first computer which have connected to the VPN and even if I turn off the first computer and turn router off and on again, still two other computers are unable to connect to VPN until I reset the router then again only the first computer which connects to VPN (no matter which of three PCs) is the only one which can connect to vpn. I tryed to get different user name and passwords to use different user name and passes on different computers, all user name and passwords work but for the first computer which connect to VPN
View 6 Replies View RelatedSo a few months ago I bought a wireless router, and I've been using it just fine with my laptop ever since. however, my father-in-law has a laptop and he can't connect to the router. and the other day I bought a brand new desktop PC, and it can't connect tot he router either.both my FIL's laptop and my new desktop detect the wireless router, then when connecting ask for the passphrase. so i put in the passphrase and hit connect, and it says that it couldn't connect (quite the vague error message).
I tried putting in an incorrect password, and an error message comes up saying that the passphrase is wrong, so I know thats not the problem. Next I dissable all security, and both are able to connect to the router just fine, but not with the WEP pass phrase.I don't understand why they can't connect since I have the proper pass phrase. I also have a nintendo DS and Wii, both of which are able to connect to the wireless router with a passphrase, but not without.
so, if I have no security all 3 comps can connect but not the wii or DS. and if I have the WEP security on, only 1 laptop and the Wii/DS can connect. furthermore, my DS requires a WEP security key to connect.so anyways, what would cause the problem with the laptop/desktop recognizing the wireless router, validating the password but not actually connecting? but being able to connect without any security?
I am using LINKSYS WRT54GS2 Router. Mostly I use it for connection via Wireless. I've successfully added another computer to the network but the router setup seems to want the iPad to connect only as a Guest .Is there a way to treat my iPad as another computer (not as Guest) so that it my network recognizes it in the same way it recognizes the second computer (without entering a password)?
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I have a WRT54G router since a couple of years now. Laptop (Win7 64bit), ipod, ipad, phones can connect to it without a problem, but new computer (Win7 64bit) can't. I can connect the PC via ethernet without a problem though.
I powercycled my devices, I changed broadcasting options off and then back on, changed my security mode, tried the MAC Cloning (after doing the MAC Cloning, I lost internet connectivity even through ethernet), resetted my security settings, changed SSID, I'm broadcasting through channel 11 2.462. I also tried deleting the HomeGroup
Important fact: the network is in the list of available wireless network, but Signal Strength is No Signal and I can't connect to it. My network adapter is ASUS 802.11n Wireless LAN Card, drivers are up to date. I've upgraded to the latest router firmware.

I am having problems connecting to my wireless internet. We were getting a poor signal so we moved our router to our living room where we always are, but now we can't connect. We tried resetting everything, turned on and off several times. Went to the linksys wireless set up page, changed SSID and password. Still can't connect with the computer or our iphones. It shows our SSID is there but won't connect. My internet when plug directly to the computer works fine (I am using it now). My computer can connect to the router Linksys WRT54G, we just can't get it to connect to the wireless.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSometimes I cannot connect to the router after my computer has been to sleep. This has occurred on different routers. I can still see the network, but am told I cannot connect when attempting to connect to it. Restarting/shut down does not solve the problem - I have to restart the router itself, and then my computer will reconnect automatically. Other computers/devices will be unaffected by this and maintain a connection the entire time. Atheros AR5B91 Wireless Network Adapter using Windows 7 Service Pack 1.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWe originally set up Cisco Connect with our E1000 Lynksys Router on a laptop- that has since died. So- I wanted to set up the software on our desktop and so I put in the set-up disk. I keep getting message "We didn't find your router" even though I now have the computer linked directly by ethernet cable. I do have connectivity to internet which I set up using my "Easy set-up key" and have a strong signal. Can't get past the first router step on the set-up disk to install the program- so now do not have Cisco Connect on any computer.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy WRT54G2 v1 does not automatically connect to the internet on computer start-up. The computer will say "Connected, No Internet Access" In order to fix it I have to unplug the router and then plug it back in. This happens to any computer that tries to get online from a cold start-up. The router must always be unplugged, then plugged back in, then it will have internet access (and will generally maintain it throughout the session and even if the computer is restarted, i.e. warm boot). I have downloaded the latest firmware uprade.

View 11 Replies View RelatedHeres my set-up. In my office building, there's a computer company that gets bundled T1 lines and sends them out to the offices and we pay them. So, in my office i have a jack with a cat5e cable that goes to my router. The issue is that the router's internet light won't turn on.We're on our third router and second brand so I'm pretty sure the router's aren't the problem. If i connect my computer to the same cat5 cable I get the internet without an issue. But, when i put my router in there, it gets nothing. Not even a yellow light.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo i have the Dir-615 and two laptops. Both laptops have windows 7, one with 32 bit and the other with 64 bit. I have had my network setup for months. The 32 bit laptop and my 360 are on the network; the 360 is on a wired connection. I recently purchased the 64 bit laptop and am having problems getting it to connect to the Internet. If I hard wire it in through the modem it will connect. If I try to connect to an unsecured network in my area, I can connect. But for some reason I'm unable to connect through my router. Weather I try and connect wireless or through a cable on the ports on the back. If I try and run the network connection wizard it won't fix the problem. I've tried to unplug the router, reconnect and nothing works. The weird part is that i can connect to the router, but can't access either the settings for the router or the Internet. The graphic that is shown in the network setup wizard shows my router but then shows an X in between the router and the Internet. I have tried everything that I can think of.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a wireless network using an Apple Airport router. There is an iMac, an IBM Think Pad and a Dell XPS 410 tower (both running XP) on the network and all were working until this week. All of a sudden I can not get on the internet with the Dell PC. When I try to log into the router, it searches for a connection, but never is able to attain one. My network is displayed and I am using WPA security and have been entering the correct key. I have tried reinstalling the drivers, but with no success. I believe I was able to access a local unprotected site, but after being connected a pass word was required. I also tried ipconfig, but it just flashed on and then immediately off.
View 5 Replies View RelatedWe have been having a problem with one computer on our network unable to detect our network, or when it rarely does connect, it only has one bar and barely works. The files we attached are one of the times it could connect, when we finally caught it at the right time.We have a total of five computers/laptops on our network connected at different times. We recently updated the router and we've updated the drivers for the network adapter on the problem computer.Neither has worked. The computer was moved here a few months ago and because of condensation the graphics card was destroyed. We took it to a computer repair shop (which is how we found this out) and they installed a new graphics card. It hasn't worked since it got here. That computer was traditionally used for gaming (before it moved here) but if we can get into an online game, our ping is really high, in the 100s.

I migrated my internet from PPPOE to DHCP. My wifi is working with no problem but when I hook up my computer to 1 of the 4 Lan ports I can't seem to connect to the internet I can however log in my router no problem. But I don't get internet access... I wonder what could be the problem. I tried resetting my router and modem to see if just a bug or something but to no avail.
