Connect To Vonage With Reliance Netconnect Usb Modem?
Oct 3, 2011
My vonage works well with a broadband router. However, when I move out of home, I use a Reliance netconnect wireless USB Modem ZTE AC2736. Is it possible to configure this to use through the LAN port of my laptop and bridge with the VONAGE eqpt for making VOIP calls?
i am field tech in internet company.one customer want to use vonage device.we have a wall jack there in his room before he got internet through that wall jack port to his pc by using cat 5.so how can we connect his vonage in our service ?and any configuration need to connect that device?
I need info on how to connect the cables so I can get a wireless connection. Here's what I have:Vonage router (VOIP phone) linksysE1200 wireless-n router XP OS cable modem
1. Can you use a wireless printer with Vonage? If so, do I need to buy a router?
2. My wireless printer is an all-in-one printer (print, copy, fax, scan). With Vonage am I able to use the fax without getting a dedicated line. Presently, with my local phone company I just plug the phone line (line also has DSL) directly into the wireless printer. It is not a dedicated fax line.
3. How many extension phones in the house can Vonage cover or does the number of extension phones matter?
I have a new house in which I have installed my cable modem and router in my storage room basement. The (4) phone jacks in the house are wired with CAT5 that runs down to my storage room. I would like to use Vonage and keep it in my storage room with the rest of my network. How would I configure Vonage with what I have described?
How can I secure a netgear router while using vonage? The vonage tech said it could not be done and now my home network appears as an unsecure network.
My connection is modem to vonage adapter to wireless Time Capsule router. I get to the Internet with no problem, but my VoIP phone is not connected. I was told the ISP blocks VoIP. Now I'm using a VPN to be able to use Skype. Is there a way to override the blockage on the Vonage connection.
I have 2 Windows 7 desktops that are both connected to seperate vonage boxes and those vonage boxes are connected to my D-Link DIR-655 router. That D-Link router is getting its connection from a Comcast router. I am looking to get one of the desktops to share a printer from the other one which has it hard wired via USB cable. When I first set this up I did not have the vonage boxes and the desktops were connected right into the router and everything worked fine. Now that the vonage boxes are in place it is a mess. I can get internet fine on both machines, but no file/printer sharing. I have followed all the steps to setup the correct workgroup and file and printer sharing options on both windows 7 machines but they cannot see each other at all. My feeling is that now that the vonage boxes are there that instead of the desktops looking at the D-Link router for its sharing option they are looking at the vonage boxes and that is why they cant be seen. Does this make sense? Is there a firewall on the vonage boxes stopping these two desktops from seeing each other? Do I have to change something on the D-Link router options for it to give access to the vonage boxes for these 2 machines to see each other for printer/file sharing?
Region : UnitedStates Model : TL-WDR4300 Hardware Version : V1 ISP : Comcast TP-LINK WDR4300 750N Dual-Band router issue.
I started having a problem with a VONAGE V-Portal VoIP adapter losing connection to the Vonage server. I Unplugging the adapter and waiting doesn't solve the problem. The only way I can temporarily fix the issue is to reboot my TP-Link router. Once the router is rebooted the adapter can connect to Vonage. After a few hours it loses connection again. I have set the adapter to use a static IP outside of the DHCP reserved pool. This didn't fix the issue.
I have had vonage for many years and this router for the last 10 months and not had a problem until the past two weeks. Nothing only my local network changed. All of my PC's have no problems with internet access during the time that the Vonage adapter gets an Error 004 (lost connectivity). I still have connectivity with my ipod touch and other internet enabled devices as well. I was using 8.8.8.8 as my DNS server in the router DHCP configuration as well as the static value when I tried using a static IP with the V-Portal. I then switched all system to the ISP (Comcast) preferred DNS servers. The problem still exists. The only way to get the Vonage adapter back to running is to reboot the router.
I should mention I have Motorola Cable modem to a TP-LINK WDR4300 750N Dual-Band router. I have two Vonage vportal adapters plugged into the a couple of the LAN ports on the TP-LINK router. One vportal is my roommates, one is mine. Everything has been working fine for the last 6 months and now one or the other Vportal loses communication through the router, but the other vportal doesn't lose connectivity. It only happens to one of them and it varies as to which one will ERROR out.
My Motorola SBG901 Modem/Router combo has stopped connecting to the internet. I have done all the troubleshooting with Comcast and with Motorola and it is out of warranty, so I will have to purchase a new one.In the mean time, I wanted to use it only as a wireless router connected to my Scientific Atlanta DPC2100R2 modem. Is there anyway to do this? Is there a way to disable the modem in the SBG901? Simply connecting with the ethernet cords has not worked. I connected the DPC2100 to the SBG901 via ethernet cord. My computer was able to pick up a wireless connection but there is no cable connection.
I want to connect my tata photon device to my bsnl wifi modem via a usb portavailable on the bsnl modem. This is to provide a wifi network that i can use to surf the net on my phone.

I can't seem to connect my laptop using my ethernet cable, but I'm able to connect it to the Internet using my wireless connection. Whenever I plug in the cable, my computer tells me that the LAN connection is connected, but I can't open a web page. I tried connecting the cable onto another laptop and it worked, so I don't know what's up with the LAN connection on mine.

When I tried again later I got five attempts and then "no answer".
I have an acer aspire 5315, windows vista,32 bit operating system.I recently got a new modem/router (it's apparently 2in1 from rogers) and I cannot connect to the internet. When I attempt to connect i can only connect to the "local" connection. Everyone else in my family can connect via wireless and I can only connect if i use an ethernet cable which is directly connected to my laptop. When i typed in ipconfig/all on the command prompt this is what pops up :
Microsoft Windows [Version 6.0.6002] Copyright (c) 2006 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved. C:Windowssystem32>ipconfig/all

when i pluggled in my ethernet cable, it started to disconnect from internet after a few seconds. In a desperate attempt i pressed the small reset switch on the modem but as from then i could not connect to internet at all. Could reset have changed some settings?Do you think the problem could be just the isp blocking me for some reason?

I seem to be having a problem connecting to the internet via ethernet cable that goes directly to a router. I am currently running off of a crappy wireless card. Ive checked my drivers with device manager and that yielded nothing. I recently reinstalled windows 7 and thats when the problem started. My motherboard is a Amd Athlon II x4 640 (Socket AM3) GA-M74GM-S2.
is there any software or hardware that can allow 2 usb modem to be connect simultaneously.i m using one usb modem for surfing the web and the other one for downloading?
